Shrimp's journey!...and this time it's going to be a success

Hope you are feeling bit better today.

Good afternoon Shrimp. Hope your weigh in went well and your knees are much better.

Have a fab weekend and fab week xx

Thank you. I lost a pound so happy with that as TOTM.

have a great weekend

Just Ben out for a 9 mile run...with that and my horse riding this morning I have used 1284 calories exercising today.

if only I could do that every day I would be as skinny as the rake I use in a morning to muck out!

9 miles that's fab shrimp! Well done you.

i managed a 3-4 miler here at butlins mine head along the sea front and tripped and fell. Managed to not completely fall only because I over stretched my leg out so have pulled my maximus gluteus! Ouchy.......the chocs yesterday afternoon were medicine, honest gov! X

Ouch! You will need to look after yourself over the few days.

Wow, well done. That's excellent! I really need to start exercising because I need to tone up.

You can do it Lynne once you are back from holiday. I like the idea of a work running club.

just getting ready for my day...
and Oh My God
the stretch marks that I had forgotten I had....have reappeared.
it looks like, that as the kin has shrunk the s
line bit has become baggy.....

now I need to think about what to o with them!...I have to say they are very very old

Hi Shrimp. I've always been lucky and not had stretch marks so I wasn't too worried about losing weight quickly at first. However I guess my age is catching up with me and I am developing loose skin on my arms and some wrinkles on my neck. It looks a bit like cellulite on my arms. It isn't there all the time, just when they are at certain angles. Even with lots of exercise I doubt it can be avoided altogether - its to do with age. All in all though, I'd rather be thin with a bit of loose skin than fat and at risk of diabees and heart disease!

Well done Shrimp on all that running you are fab I wish I could go out and do some running I really do. I hear you in TOTM I had mine while away last week and ate all around me but back on plan since I Got back I just need to stick with it now, hope you are having a fab weekend and enjoying this heat X

Shrimp that's a fabulous amount to run !!:worthy:
What is your ultimate goal distance ?:)

Have you tried bio oil for stretch marks ?
I know some people don't like it, but I found it invaluable last time.
I go through phases of using it on my face too, doing the recommended way to massage your face out of wrinkles. Who knows if it works, but it does make your skin feel lovely and soft :)

Hey shrimp hope u have had a good weekend? X

Thank you Ladies.

Marge I am looking to get to 13.1 miles (a half marathon distance). I am doing the Great North Run in September, this will be my third year....and my last! But I said that last year, I find the training from now until September really hard work. Both with working full time and because I have two weeks holiday in the middle of August. This year I have booked two hotels both with gyms. But I find I have to be in there most days for at least an hour or two.

My family are very supportive with the training!

i also from now worry about injuries as I can't afford to have any time off for the next few weeks.

this is the first year I have really enjoyed my running.:bolt:

I am enjoying it. I also enjoy that I am running with a girl half my age, so feel quite god.

also my 12 year old wont run with me now as I can beat her over distance.

You are an inspiration. I really want to make a concentrated effort when I get back from holiday.

Well done Shrimps...I love your determination!!
