Shrimp's journey!...and this time it's going to be a success

Enjoy...... It's good that you actually enjoy running. I can't imagine ever enjoying running!

First run of the week completed

Monday 4 miles ...and it was shocking I was not sure if I was going to :9529:eek:r :sick0019: while on my run!

at one point thought of ringing OH to come and pick me up!

happy now I'm home and near the bathroom...I think it was the heat.
 
Oh dear!!!! Hope it is the heat and you're not coming down with something. I take it you didn't enjoy that run then!
 
Ha ha! Not at all. Now I am home and been to the loo and in the bath I feel a load better!
 
Well done Shrimp on all that running you really are a superstar. Best of luck with the great north run also- definitely Wonder Woman. I wish I Could enjoy running, or even think about the gym I have not been for weeks definitely need to get back into it after the hols Xx
 
Sorry to hear you felt sick after your run...maybe more water than usual to counteract the extra lost when running in the heat??
 
If I have a break...it is hard to get going again! But once I start its ok.

starting again after your hols is a good plan

Goldie that's a good idea. I do always carry a isotonic drink...but it was that I did not which way could go first...not a nice thought
 
Hey Shrimp, just catching up a bit on your diary, first of all, amazing how much you are doing exercise wise, very inspirational. How are you feeling today? I bet you sweated out all the salt in that heat, no wonder you had quite a violent reaction. Back in the day when I played a lot of badminton, usually always two solid hours at a time, I would mix some salt into some blackcurrant squash and have a sip occasionally. I know it sounds gross. But it always perked me up instantly. I know at the moment with low carb that's not so much an option.
But it's good that you keep isotonic drinks to replenish all the sodium, especially in this weather. :)

And what size bag / how many did you eat ?
I agree with Bee. I know they say salt can make you retain water, but when you exercise a lot you really need it. I very often crave the salt when I am gyming it hard, and put a wee bit extra in my soup or pasta :)

When I'm out of the zone shrimp, my whole life is a weak spot at moment :eek:
Time to start choosing my bad again. It worked before. It will work again :D
 
I'm like you Marge, either on it or off it...have been trying to get back on for a week now but started to feel the willpower vibes kicking in again..got to keep on getting back on!!
