Shrimp's journey!...and this time it's going to be a success

I agree...I am better logging everything

It keeps you in control.

I prefer logging, I use mfp and measure every single thing lol... That I'm accountable. No point in me guessing then can't figure out what I'm doing wrong. I'm doing everything to the letter lol. Hubby thinks I'm mad, measuring my spoon before jam so I can reset the scales to weigh 18g lol... Whatever works for us individuals eh? Xxx

When I thought I was diabetic I bought a book called the calorie, carb and fat bible that was recommended on the diabetes website. (It isn't written for diabetics but is really good if you're counting carbs.) There is an accompanying record book you can buy. The idea is that you work out how many calories you should be having a day and you record everything you eat and all the exercise you do and then ensure that the calories consumed minus those you've used exercising don't exceed your daily allowance. I found it was a really good system for someone like me who has an obsessive need to record to avoid going off course!

I use my fitness pal to log...logging has started.

porridge and 30 mins exercise so far

I always remember when I went to weight watchers years and years ago, the leader used to say "write before you bite"
It does work :)
Good luck Shrimp :D

I'm so with you on that! I used to do calorie counting quite successfully and will go back to that after Exante, but I would measure, weigh, down to the gram, if I wanted 50g of something and it went to 52g, I'd work out the calories exactly. And I'd always do it before eating it. It's reassuring that you have already accounted for it. A bit like spending money after you have checked that you have enough in the bank.

Hi Shrimp. Hope your day is going well. I agree with the writing down good old food diaries work well. Just thought I would share that I ran my first 5k today slowly but got there in 43 minutes!!

Fiona...that is brilliant! Fantastic.

i ran just 1.5 miles last night as OH is away on business and I had to leave on her own, so did not go to far!

i went to Zumba tonight and I have logged everything...so feel better!

You still haven't said what the challenge is!

Thank you Ladies....1000 calories eaten today

Hi Shrimp. How's your day been?

Oh aye :D
I'm up for that :D

You doing WS Shrimp ?
That's a good amount if you are :)
