Shrimp's journey!...and this time it's going to be a success

I have been out running again tonight and the balance between calories and exercise is smack on 1000 calories

Just completed a 4 mile run in a thunderstorm...not the best!

You are doing so well. After my 5k earlier in the week have felt too rough to do anything but I am planning :) 10k next then a half marathon. Have been looking at training plans. All good in theory! Weight coming off slowly but clothes fitting much better. Am off to Thailand on 31st so going to plod on till after that and have a major push up to Christmas

Wow...you are so focused and with a very long term plan. That is really good and will keep you on plan. I need a focus for the next few months. As I have not done anywhere near as much running as I need to. O H has at last organised the treadmill, he promised me in August, and it arrives tomorrow. I am hoping this will help me get my mileage back up.

have you been to Thailand before? It's years since I have been but I loved it!

Marge it was so dark and the rain so heavy I had to take my glasses off and could not see what I was stepping into. The standing water was shocking and I hit back like a drowned rat...straight into a jot bath!
 
I think I might have bottled on the stormy run!! Still feeling rubbish with the virus but not going to make myself feel bad at out not doing anything. Have made big plans for the 10k and 1/2 m to keep myself focused on getting fitter and not brooding on the weight loss slowing down. However having looked on the exante website they do say that exercise can slow it down, anyway feeling well (apart from the last few days) so carrying on regardless! Hope your treadmill is fab I have envy!!
 
Hi Shrimp. Well done on your run. Sounds scary. (I'm really impressed with Fiona too - can't believe its not long since she started the couch to 5K). Hope you enjoy your treadmill when it comes. I've got one but rarely use it. Maybe that's something I should start thinking about!
 
Hi Shrimp yes we have been to Thailand before to the same resort very relaxing after a busy year. We love the people there too

home and the treadmill arrived...everyone has had a go!

i did 3.75 miles on it.

just have a smoothie Mage with blue berries, blackberries and a banana as well as parsnip soup for tea.
