Sick of carrying 2 hitchikers, Part 2....1 down 1 to go !!!!!!!

Hahahaha you do make me laugh PP, wouldn't have taken much to bribe me full stop, I have found a tipple that I can enjoy on the odd occasion and I am enjoying having a glass or two of late, makes me feel a bit more relaxed, that's my excuse and I am sticking to it :8855: xxx:bighug:xxx
I always say a little of what you fancy does you good. So good to have you back Lily as I know you totally get my sarcy sense of humour, :D

Not only do I get your sarcy sense of humour I love it, so like me lol ...so good to be back on a more regular basis hun, like I said before every cloud has a silver lining, if I hadn't of injured my arm and shoulder I would still be running myself ragged and not relaxing from time to time with friends ...good times xxx:hug99:xxx

Good times indeed. :D

Well just a flying visit today, off to play cards at my daughters, first time since I injured my arm/shoulder, my daughter found a card holder/stand so I can use that and not put any strain on my arm lol
Today has been a very busy day, after our weekend out last week, I have the taste for Chinese, so I have cooked a veritable feast for tonight, a right chinese fakeaway lol
We have hot and sour soup to start and then for main we have sweet and sour chicken, chicken chow mein and special fried rice all for 3.5 syns and being as banana fritters are so high in syns I have decided to make lovely individual trifles for afters, for 3 syns so that's a total of 6.5 syns for the whole meal and a very full belly to boot lol
I have also cooked my daughter a lasagne which I am about to take over, as Albert isn't well so she doesn't have much time
So I must be off and I will catch you all laters, be good, have fun and see you all soon xxx:hug99:xxx

Well that weekend went quick lol, I spent the last 3 days spring cleaning my house from top to bottom and before you say it I have already had an ear bashing from my daughters lol, I must say it looks amazing, all sparkly and clean, I especially love the fact my bedroom looks so refreshed, it gets cleaned every few days but as my bed is so heavy (adjustomatic queen size bed) because of the motors, it doesn't get pulled out as regularly as I'd like and that then bugs me, makes me feel the whole room is grubby lol so now I am one happy bunny.
My arm and shoulder seems to feel a bit better over the last few days, fingers crossed I didn't just jinx it lol, they still hurt, but nowhere near as bad thank goodness.
So with this being for me the turning point in the year, I have to get this weight under control, so I have decided to keep a food diary again , hopefully with pictures so that I can refer back when I need to....thank goodness I did that before as I lost all of my 600+ recipes when I downloaded them onto discs and then lost the discs, so was able to come on and look up some of the recipes I had on my diary......phew!!!
I am hoping this will get me back to where I was in determination about 18 months ago and I can then start dropping those lbs again...so here goes :

Yummeeeeee I see you're still doing the frylight-up for dinner after WI. :D Look forward to hearing how you get on. :D
Hey PP, yeah still doing the grill up, we don't often use frylight anymore, just a couple of squirts of olive oil if really needed, didn't like the way frylight leaves my pans...not nice and thought if it leaves the pans like that, whats it doing to me lol
Well it's 4.30 am and yes I am a bit late with my results for wi lol, but I got home and had my dinner and went straight to bed, had a belter of a headache, still there now but not quite so bad.
Result wasn't great but there are mitigating factors, my ankles were mahoosive, so definitely retaining water and when I looked at my book, it would have been star week for me, I may have had an oopherectomy in 1999, but I still get all the symptoms of my monthlies and every 4 weeks without fail no matter what I do I have gained from day 1 of joining SW and until I had my op I was more or less regular as clockwork with my cycle, so when this first became apparent that it was every 4 weeks, I looked back to my final period (oh yes I remember the date well, it was the day I had my op 15th April lol the shortest one I ever had lol) and the dates tied in perfectly, so anyways I gained 3.5lb, definitely wasn't expecting that, but unlike most I take each weigh in as it comes, if I gained this week, there was a reason for it, don't think it was my food as I always keep a note of what I eat, even if it's not on here, and only things I can come up with are the reasons above, plus I had to double my steroids as I have been having the worst bout of psoriasis since 31st December, that I have had in years and I have been experimenting with medication levels (as approved by my Dermatologist) and seem to be okish (putting aside the side effects) with the levels I am on now, but when I increase the steroids, as you most likely know, that increases my appetite, so although I may have been good and eating sensibly, I may be eating a little too much than is good for me ....so here's to a really good week and hopefully a 3.5lb + weight loss this week xxx:hug99:xxx
I am off to bed now, again, head is starting to thump again, Kirsty got sent home from work with a heavy cold yesterday (she works in maternity unit, not a good place to be if you have a stinking cold ), hope I'm not coming down with it, although I probably am, my colds normally start with belting headaches **sigh** ttfn xxxx

I love your attitude to the gain and as you say so many other factors can come into play, but when I'm really focussed on weightloss it still gets to me if I don't lose when I expect to. :D

Hope the headache is better today and doesn't turn into a full blown cold. :D
I used to be like the norm and get upset and turn to more food when I gained, but all that did was make me gain more so I worked on trying to tell myself it was just a wee gain and it would be gone next week (I am a great believer in talking to myself until I actually believe what I am saying, it's a great healer and a technique my counsellor suggested years ago when I was in counselling and by god it works, given time!) and more often than not it is, I can't afford to let myself dwell on self pity too much as I am the kind of person who will go the whole hog once released and that will just put me back to 31.5st or even more. So I accept the gain and move on and that then makes me more determined to get it and more off the next week, I can guarantee I will lose most if not all that 3.5lb gain next week and a few more if I get my way ...makes me more determined these days lol
Still got the headache, nowhere near as bad, but have been sneezing all morning, so I am guessing I have the dreaded cold, so out comes my NAS Ribena lol...love that really strong and really hot when I get a cold, good job I made a huge batch of soup last week too, so got plenty of minestrone and hot and sour soup stored in my freezer.
Hope you're having a great day hun xxx:hug99:xxx
Popping in to say hello Lily

Lovely to see you back and posting
Hello Kally, nice to see ya hun, it's good to be back and posting again, good to actually have some me time for a change lol xxx:hug99:xxx

Will be back later with my food diary xxxx

Its lovely to see you back on here again lily, have you tried celery and sweetcorn soup its gorgeous, talking about colds coming on I woke up with 2 cold sores on my lips hate them and keep sneezing must be the change of the weather. xx

Hahaha was typing in your diary as you typed in mine lol
Not tried that soup, sounds delicious, I love celery, celeriac or anything with a celery taste, would love the recipe hun pretty please xxx
I constantly have cold sores, they are one of the awful side effects of the Acitretin I take for my Psoriasis
Feeling a bit better than I felt earlier had a nice hot Ribena first thing and another about an hour ago, I swear by that stuff for colds, has to be super strong though, normally would drink any dilutable drink with just a dribble at the bottom of the glass, but when I have a cold it's about inch and a half of Ribena, nice and strong, always feels good after xxx:hug99:xxx

Hi lily have a great day, il keep my eye out for that soup recipe , I'm doing soup challenge this week , got a pan of veg bubbling away ATM but celery and sweet corn does sound lovely,
