Sick of carrying 2 hitchikers, Part 2....1 down 1 to go !!!!!!!

Well here we are again, the day after wi, I am so determined to get that 3.5lbs off and some this week, going to be 110% good...oh and nearly forgot, today is 4 years since I gave up my 50+ a day habit, can't believe how quick it's gone and how little I have missed them and the Bronchitis I used to get every year for about 6 months, so long farewell don't come back now lol
Well as I said earlier I am definitely coming down with this cold, didn't feel like much for brekkie so had some nice watermelon, strawberries and a yogurt and Mal just brought me my lunch bless him, don't tell him but he's been super sweet and very encouraging of late, every week while I am at class he goes to Morrisons and picks me up a little something as a treat, but good sensible treats, so I get grapes, or Oranges, or last week I got cherries, this week he bought me 5 Mugshots, which I sometimes like when I am feeling peckish in the evening and then today he made me my lunch out of the blue, without me having to ask and it was really nice and I feel very full lol xx

Were trying for a good result at wi so doing soup this week today I've made veg, carrots, leek, parsnip turnip , I've also added spinach and tomatoes, couple of chicken stock pots, then seasoned wiv black pepper, garlic , dash of Worcester sauce, I've bought a spice mill today that is a mix of black pepper sea salt, mustard, oreganum, parsley ,garlic and ginger, so that's added plenty of taste,
Today I've blended it so still some chunks but a smoother base ,
Just had some it's spicy but yum ,

Oh thank you for that Jane, I'll look forwards to making that ...probably sometime this week, got all the ingredients in the house, I adore soup, it's a medical fact that soup is more filling than almost anything you can have and will keep you fuller longer, saw that on that programme I used to bang on about, 10 things you never knew about dieting...or something like that lol xxx

Hello lovelies, well the last 2 days have been carp, I don't know what I ate Thursday, felt so ill with the cold it really got the better of me, I believe I was ok, and again Yesterday but I really can't recall what I had to be honest, feeling a little better today, even though my head is still pounding away and my chest is a little sore, shivering one minute, baking hot the next.
Still today I do have an idea of what I have eaten and will eb eating shortly so I will just write up my menu for today and go get back under my duvet, hope you're all keeping well ttfn xxx:hug99:xxx

Hi Lily....here is another super souper lol !! I have it for breakfast I love it. Today I made what I call fridge soup. I just use any veg that are left in the fridge as I restock today. I even had half a tin of toms in the fridge and they went in too. I find cauliflower is a brilliant thickener if you are blending the soup and want a thick creamy soup. I must have abou 10 litres of soup frozen........every one of them a recipe that came out of my head. I love my spicey, roasted red pepper and tomato soup, it has onion and cauliflower too and a couple of stock cubes. I add cumin and chilli flakes and a good dollop of mint sauce and sometimes Chinese 5 spice it is yummylicious. On a green day my favourite is good old leek and potato with a liberal helping of black pepper.

Hope the cold is soon on the mend......oh and I love the heart shaped plate

hugs xxxx

Oh Lily I hope you feel much better soon, but meantime drink plenty and rest up and get some of the family to look after you rather than the other way round. :D :bighug:
Thank you hunni, feeling a lot better today, even managed to clean the house right through again, although it didn't take too long after last weeks spring clean, feeling a lot hungrier today even though yesterdays menu looked huge I ate only a little of everything and not much Thursday or Friday, so today I have decided to have a green day so I could have a bit of extra bread lol and not feeling much like eating meat today either....
hahahaha get them to look after me, yeah that'd be right, Mal tries but I usually end up following him about redoing what he's done...as for Kirsty and Mark, they have been out all weekend, I swear they are scared I might actually ask them to do something, even the jobs they are supposed to do I have done, I'll not have to thank them if I do it myself lol but I dread to think what their house will look like when they move out, still not my problem lol
Hope you're having a lovely weekend hun xxx:hug99:xxx

Hello lovely Sue, I adore soup, I have had it before in the past for breakfast too lol,
Like you I like to make my own soups and add lots of herbs and spices I have a massive cupboard just full of all different herbs and spices from all over the world, and they are mostly for my soups and casseroles lol
Today I have made a lovely spicy hot pot to go with my bean burger (normally I would make my own but can't be asked to right now so bought some from Iceland that are rather nice)
Your soups sound amazing and yes I have used Cauliflower to thicken and make my soups creamy, I am about to experiment with a cauliflower to make some bread, not done that one before, will see how it turns out and let you know.
Cold is on the mend, I love my heart shaped plates, a good size for good portion control as long as I don't pile them high lol
Hope you're having a nice weekend lovely xxx:hug99:xxx

What are you like!!!! The chore split was done for a reason and they should deffo be doing their share it's not like they are just visiting for a few days when you wouldn't expect them to do stuff but they are living with you. Although I understand that sometimes it's easier to do it yourself than to nag and chase others to do it. Just promise me you won;t get roped into doing their house for them when the move. :nono:

Glad you're feeling a bit better, but please try not to overdo it cos if it's the same bug I had/have it will come back and bite you on the bum if you do too much. :D:D

Normally hun I wouldn't even contemplate doing their chores and would be on their tail, but cos I got the house all lovely and sparkly last weekend while they all went out, I want it to stay that way and to be fair they did some of their chores, not all and I cannot just sit and stare at it lol
Never in a blue moon will I be going over and sorting their house out, I'll happily have Harry if they want to, but I struggle to do mine so not going to kill myself doing theirs, what used to take me a few hours now takes me a full day, as I am sure you well know yourself.

I do hope it doesn't come back but knowing my luck I am sure it will lol and I didn't actually do that much today, just hoovered, cleaned my cupboards and washed the floors, plus prepared my dinner...Mal wants a take away I'm not going there so sick of being ill after eating them so I did mine and he'll pop out and get his later...Kirsty, Mark and Harry have gone to dinner at friends ...I am now going to go put my feet up till my lovely dinner is ready ...smells delish yum yum lol
Speak soon lovely xxx:hug99:xxx

Hello lovelies, just a quickie, been a very busy day, goodness where the time has gone lol
I will update my food diary later, had a good week I think, even when I felt really rotten with the cold, I still ate, all be it not as much as normal.
Leaving for wi in 15 mins, got a feeling I have had a good week, eaten loads of SS and restricted the majority of my syns to what I have had in food.
Spent the majority of yesterday out and about, lots of walking, paid the price last night, but it was worth it lol
Am hoping for about 5-6lbs loss this week, but I will be happy with anything, really feeling like I have finally found my mojo again, long may it remain!!
Have got a craving for pineapple and melon at the mo, my daughter bought me 2 pineapples last night, they are mahooooosive, I weighed them, they weight 10.5lbs :wow:, gonna really enjoy those 2 lol
Anyways must dash, last few bits to put in my bag and I am off, cya laters xxx:hug99:xxx

OMG, I never really believed I could do it but I have, 6lb off for me this week...I am back !!!!!!!!!!!
Be back after my dinner to update my meal plan xxx
