Silvermanes food diary - Extra easy plan

I'M BACK!!!! :)

Well what a silly girl I have been. I have put all my weight back on, that I lost, minus 3Ib's. How bad is that?

I have no excuse, my willpower went out the window, and I have just stuffed my face for 6 months. I have to say, while I am not happy I have put all this weight on, I did enjoy stuffing my face, but the problem is, that I cant just eat in moderation. I have to eat way more than I need to. I cant just eat one big cookie, I have to eat the whole pack, and its this mentality, that keeps getting me in trouble!!

I well and trully fell off the wagon. I need to stay on the wagon, and well and trully handcuff myself to it! :)

I so could have written that - I am either "on a diet or not on a diet" one extreme to the other, like me, you've found your way home, I've been away for 3 months and thankfully only gained 10lbs, 8 days in and I already remember why I love Slimming World so much.

Would you like boring old Police Issue handcuffs or something a bit more girlie?

Good luck and great to have another restarter on board!

aint just me then.what you said is so true .im either on a diet or not on a diet....so hqrd, but feel guilty if im not :(

well, hello stranger.were all human and it is soooo hard i know how you feel, but nice to see you back.good luck with your new journey x are you gonna do sw again?

Hello hunny!! Nice to see familair faces, Allie and Brit mum chatted to me on PM.

Yup I am doing SW :) Started today, as went and did the weeks shop. I ummed and arrred about the timing, as in, 'is this the right time for me' and tbh no time is ever going to be the right time for me.

I refuse to have to buy new clothes, and right now I can barely fit in some of my jeans

You know its bad when your jeans are so blimming tight, that you have to tear them off as soon as you get in the door, and put your PJ bottoms on :p *whispers* which is what I have been doing lol

I am starting to bulge over my bra's.

So a massive big slap in the chops has been given!

I just re-read my diary to remind myself of how well I was doing, and to give myself idea's. I love to cook, so fingers crossed!

Lovely to see you *hugs*

Hi there!!

Fluffy pink handcuffs would be good, and throw the bloody key away *laughs* :D

Whats stupid is I know SW works as have used it before and lost lots of weight, I just need to get my head in the 'in moderation' zone. I just like food, but it doesnt like me hips lol

I am 40 this year and I really DO NOT want to be a fat blob.

So I have got to stay focussed this time!!

Nice to meet ya :D

Yay, glad you have come out of hiding :) Only a gentle little kick up the bum was needed! ;)

Get on your thai green curry and you'll be fine!!

xx

Yes your dainty feet helped with that :D

Were having that tomorrow :p

we had the Philadelphia carbonara with wholewheat spaghetti today, I forgot how much I loved that recipe NOMMY!

I was talking about this on a thread today.

Diets are hard, its certainly, much easier to stay focussed if you have lots of people who understand where your coming from, supporting each other in our goals. I like food, it doesnt like my hips lol

I always struggle after the 6 month mark, because I have a lot to lose (6 stone), and get a little fed up. I guess we could call it our 'Mid Diet Crisis' I know I am not the only one who has this problem. It was only last year I gave in to it *sigh*.

So how can we stop ourselves going through the 'Mid Diet Crisis'?

How do we stop ourselves giving in to it?

Hello,

Just saw you post on the 'whats for dinner' thread and thought how lovely it was to see you back posting!!

Re the mid diet crisis. Im sort of going through and 'end diet crisis' although it'll never truely be the end! Im 6lbs away from target and have flutuated around this mark for about 4 months!

I am just giving it my all to get the last bit off although it seems the longer I've been on SW the more i crave the takeaways, etc. Which is fine in moderation but im not a very moderate person when it comes to food!!!

Anyway, like i said, glad to see you back and good luck getting back into it :) xx

Hey Pesty LOVELY to see you!

I really do know what you mean about not being a 'in moderation' girl. I really dont know how to stop myself going the whole hog. I really DO need to get a handle on it. I know I need to sort this out, and make it stick. I hate how I look in the mirror, I loathe it, so I have to do it this time.

I am also realistic though, and know that I do struggle, because I love food so much, I really do. Its like a drug for me. So I have to try and find a way of dealing with that addiction, that is truly effective. I have tried the reward system, as in rewarding myself for each stone, before. I still ended up in MDC, so I am not sure how to deal with it this time.

I am really annoyed with myself that I have had to start all over again, after I was doing so well before, I could slap myself! *slaps self* lol

I could slap myself! *slaps self* lol

ROFL!

I think you cant look at it as you did well then ruined it, as there's no way of going back now. I think you have to look at it as, you did so well before that you know you CAN do it.

My motivation changes weekly. One week its I've had a gain and am motivated to get it off, next week its messages on here, then it could be a certificate i want or the next stone or a range of bmi i want to get into.

My staple things are putting my certificates on show so that i know how far I've come and that i dont want to take them away from myself! lol

Maybe for you it might be a picture of you now, how your not happy with yourself to motivate yourself to keep going to change it?

I know you can do it hun, your posts were always such an inspiration to me

xx

Todays lunch.

recipe001.jpg

Cous cous stirfry.

I used Ainsley Harriet wild mushroom which I made up just with water only and put to one side until I was ready for it.

2 handfuls of frozen sliced peppers
4 large mushrooms sliced.
1/2 onion (cos was only making for 2 people)
2 small gloves garlic
pepper tp taste
80ml of vegetable stock (made with half a stock cube) or whatever you have.
frylite
Splash Worcestershire sauce.

You can add loads more veg if you want to.

Fry onion and garlic in frylite, then add peppers and mushrooms with the stock, and worcestershore sauce, and fry until most of the stock has been absorbed. Then add the cous cous you made earlier and stir through until the last of the fluid is absorbed.

Serve :)

I really enjoyed this!

I count a syn per portion.

Hey hunny, lovely yo see you back. No beating yourself up, think alot of us struggle and prob will always continue to ..... food is my demon and always trying to defeat it lol

I'm at WW now but will be keeping my beady eye on you
xx

Hello Lovey *big squeeze* Its so lush to see all of you, its like coming home!

My OH thinks its cool, cos I keep having a big grin, everytime one of you pops by. :D:D

I agree about the demon thing, I havent stopped thinking about food all afternoon, it spurred me to organise my food cupboard and make a list of extra condiments and things I have ran out of that I need :) Took my mind of it for 45 minutes lol

Tried a recipe from Britmums site 'Slimming Eats'

She did this recipe, which I saw earlier today, and filed away in my head to try, and me and the OH felt really hungry this evening, so I thought i'd do a small portion, to give it a whirl. I used Paprika where as BM used BBQ seasoning :D

So this is what I did.

Crunchy Paprika Wedges

Stick three potatoes in the microwave and cook for about 6 mins (dont skip this step).

Then slice the potatoes (skinned) into wedge shapes.

Spray frylite onto a non stick flat tray and place the wedges onto the tray, taking care to leave a small gap in between (so they dont steam BM said).

Then spray the wedges with frylite and sprinkle Paprika onto the wedge's, and season with salt, if you wish.

Bake at 180 for 30 minute, turning at 15 mins, respray and season again if necessary.

Voila!

Very very crunchy and seriously yummy potatoe wedges. :)

Britmum should get an award for her recipes, because I have done SW chips and wedges before but they were never this nice!!! I served with VLF cottage cheese.
