That's right. I'm thinking the wavefront fusion treatment sounds best and least painful. Gonna look into pricing :)

I've had laser eye surgery about 7 years ago and it was def the best thing I ever done. It wasn't painful at all, just a wee bit uncomfy :)

Cool, I've heard some horror stories though about dry eye and such. I really want it though! No glasses when I drive... That'd be awesome!

I'd LOVE to get laser eye surgery.. BUT.. You need to have had regular eye tests for minmum 2 years... And they need to "touch" your eye...(lol) So I can't get it!!
My boss had it done last year.. God it done in the AM and by mid afternoon he was back in the office.. Hasn't looked back since..Said it was brilliant!!
Sarah i can't be 100% as I haven't had it done but I think the "dry eye" comes with being in air conditioned offices etc for long periods.. But as long as you keep eye drops with you, you'll be fine... from what I hear.. As I said I can't say 100% (this is another reason I can't get it.. I'm like Rachel in Friends when it comes to eye drops...)

Why do you need to have had regular eye tests? I thought they tested your eyes "thoroughly" on your consultation? Don't think I've had my eyes tested in a year and a half now!! :(

I'm sure they do that also.. But when I rang up for a consultation the lady asked if i'd had regular eye tests for the last 2 years.. Maybe its based on how quickly/slowly your eyes have got bad?? I know not everyone is eligible to have it done.. That was with Optilaze (I think)...

Oh I see, I see. Well I suppose it's worth checking it out to see if I'm eligible? I don't have any trouble with my eyes (dry eye or anything). I've had glasses since I was a kid (about 9 or 10). I need them for distances (blackboards, tv, driving etc.) But not things up close (monitors, books). Short sighted! B-)

I'm the opposite to you.. I need them for the monitor and reading but not for out n about...
Yea sure check it out.. It was a good while ago I enquired so things might have changed since.. I know the prices have halved since I checked...

I do think my eyes have gotten worse in the last year though as I often walk around wearing them now & never used to. Optilase seems to be the cheapest... But then I wonder why!?

No idea.. But I do know a couple of people who have had them done there and are, as the add says, 100% with the procedure and aftercare.....

Cool cool, I was thinking "is this a dodgy service" or something lol. I'll look into it though. Think it'll cost me probably 3-4k to get my eyes done (no health insurance or anything) cuz I'd want the best treatment. Off to the credit union with me lol. I kinda have to decide whether I want a new car or I want my eyes fixed... Hmm...

I'd get a new car :) Something for you to actually SEE your money has gone on.. Will make you feel great also have a new mo mo.. :)
Any idea what car you'd get? What car do you have?
I wana get something with a diesel engine when I replace this one.. Jonathan gets a months driving from €80... And he does ALL our driving... he has a 1.4lt diesel renault megene hatchback.. its a commercial car tho so I can't have it ha ha.. He gets over 1,000miles for that... €80 does me going to n from work for about 2.5 weeks.. Sux!!

I have a 02 ford fiesta finesse hatchback that's 1.4l diesel. 80EUR certainly doesn't last me a month lol. I put at least 50EUR in the car a week but I have a lot of driving to do I suppose. A new motor would be more expensive than getting my eyes fixed so I need to weigh up my options for a while. Plus I think not needing glasses might help my self esteem. Hmm. I need to win the lotto!!

Is that the Fiesta thats the same frame as a Mazda??? I think they're a great little car, no?
I had a 05 Fiesta (steel) a few years back.. Was semi-bullied into buying it.. Bought it from new.. Was great being the in a BRAND NEW CAR... Til the novelty wore off and I was paying for it.. I was like 'I want my old car back'.. I didn't even want to trade it in.. But my ex made a new car sound so appealing.. And he liked that car so managed to talk me into getting it.. Not that it was hard to get me to spend money I didn't have.. Which is why I am now in this mess!!! lol (Not as much of a mess now as I was, but you get what I mean)
God that's allot you go thru in a week isn't it?? Considering its diesel like...
I do feck all driving.. I drive to n from work.. N maybe to Elaine's or around that area (10 mins away) once r twice a week n that's about it.. For that I pay €20-30 a week.. My car is only 1.2!!!!!

It's like this car here except its not wine coloured & not quite so shiny looking lol. It was my sisters old car and unfortunately she dented it in 2 places (no idea how she did this as I haven't dented it or scratched it all since I got it lol).
My Dad keeps trying to get me to buy a brand new car too and I can't count the amount of times I've told him I _can't_ afford it!! What is with men and cars they can't afford anyway? Sheesh. I might keep me wee car for now (although my brother is hoping he can have it when he turns 17 in november )

It's an hours drive to monaghan. You'd think I'd have saved on fuel being off but I'm more broke with medical bills etc. :(
