No parents r helping u, me n hubby paid for quite a few bits in his daughter's n his son's n I did most of prep with them cos I love it, I am shocked no one wants to help u. Very bad babs x
Ur dads bein a tad mean, it wud cause friction so u hav to do wots best, I am the step mum n the real mum wasn't invited to either weddings cos she left the kids n.moved to Tenerife wen they were young, but if she'd hav cum no one wud have enjoyed it so I bin there done that, got the t-shirt ;-) I sympathise xx
Abroad is the easiest cos it's all about u, but the UK version will b amazing once it's all sorted x

It's made you into such a good person through and through dealing with all this family stuff. You're gonna be an amazing mum and wife! I'm just in the process of sorting out my sisters hen do myself actually - never done anything like this before so hope it isn't a complete disaster lol!

That's awful.. I know my Dad's family were all on my Mam's side when he done what he did.. Every last one of them.. Except my granny.. But she never liked my Mam.. Stopped them getting married twice and they eventually ran away telling no-1 what they were doing and get married on Paddy's Day.. ha ha.. Sounds romantic but when I say "ran away" they were gone into Dublin City for a few hours.. Organised a babysitter (my brothers n sister were born outside marriage)
But none of them want anything to do with yer one he's "with" She's not welcome at any of their houses or if there's any family event his invite is specific to him only... He has 2 lives.. the one with us.. N the one with her..
My biggest fear is that he'll move her into our house when I'm gone.. That's my Ma's house.. I swear to God I will never so much as look at him if he brings her near it.. Even if she just crosses the door.. That'll be the end of anything between me n him...
Claire.. you are not going getting the silly bits.. Text ur bridesmaid n tell her to sort that out.. Don't even ask.. TELL HER!!! Its ridiculous you have to do any of it at all never mind that!!
I wasn't even cheif Bridesmaid for my friend and I sorted hers out!! Biggest pain in the face tryna keep everyone happy.. and believe me (Sarah u listen up too
) Its not possible!! Organise what the bride will enjoy.. and feck everyone else.. its about THE BRIDE, no-one else.. If they wana join in they will, and if they don't, feck them!! Its not about them n what they want...
