I had a bad night yesterday too, we had a death in the family so the family met, talked about things, and ate comfort food together, myself included. :(

We'll both draw a line and start fresh yes? :)

I'm sorry for your loss x

Oh I'm sorry to hear that. I think in those circumstances that your diet isn't important. My fall off the wagon was just greediness. Today I have had a Tesco bar and some chicken with an avocado and tuna for tonight so have managed to rein it in. Don't beat yourself up and take care xx

Chicken with avocado and tuna sounds like a good choice. So well done you. :)

Chicken with avocado and tuna sound positively virtuous....... and only 2lb to go woooohooooo :)

Thanks guys - obviously I didn't have chicken with tuna - that would just be wrong!! I simply adore avocados and I have a couple left so that's good :). Best with prawns, mmmm...

Just back from a weekend at my mum's, greeted at home by the stench of cat pee everywhere *sigh*. Mum loved Taco, she says he's her grandson!! He was fussed over by so many people at Regatta yesterday and he was an angel with all of them :). Only problem we have discovered is that he refuses point blank to go in the garden if it's raining so ends up going to toilet on the carpet, or rather my mum's carpet!

As for diet, I am determined to sabotage it as I reach target, as is tradition. Not that I had loads of really, really bad stuff (apart from the chicken pastry bake today which wasn't even very nice but I so wanted something warm on this crappy day). I had venison steak and veggies with new potatoes last night and potato rosti with chicken as well and some toast and bacon today. Managed to avoid the dirty burgers and sweeties at the fair but had a couple of Pimms and lemonade, a few glasses of wine and two strawberry and lime ciders. Oh, and half a Nestle Crunch . None of that is very low carb is it?? Hmmm, nevermind. I may regret it on Thursday but nowt I can do now other than have a Tesco bar for dinner and get on it again...

Hope everyone's had a good weekend :D xx

I could kill my cats some days! One of mine stands in his cat tray and pisses out of it! It bloody stinks! Love them to bits but some days....... :-(

this has beem a brilliant read, wow im on day 3 was bad yesterday though so ketosis might take a little longer, i see all these people have managed so why did i give in to a temptation i didnt enjoy, ahhh well here goes 100% to saturday first wi, im sure i will have lost though here goes.....and well done for your losses even from before they are brilliant.

Well if it isn't cat pee round here, it's dog poo! What with that and the uninvited cat(s?) that keep breaking and entering and the cat with cystitis and the dog's toys lying around everywhere, I feel like it's some sort of badly run zoo here sometimes....! xx

Hey thanks AmZie :) *waves*. Day 3 is the pits but it gets better. For what it's worth, I think people get way too hung up about ketosis and weeing on sticks. We pretty much ALL give into temptation at some point, whether that's a couple of days in or, as you can see from mine, almost every day once you're reaching target (and yes, it usually isn't worth it). That's life I'm afraid but so long as you get back on it and don't let it demoralise you...

You are bound to have lost on Saturday. I was astounded by my first week's loss on Exante as I had poor losses on Cambridge for the first week as you will have seen. Good luck xx

ketosis

i wont know when im there, i aint buying any sticks, i dont see the point, i think from what people say the stinky breath :sigh: and the new found energy may tell me im there :D tbh as long as i loose each week i dont care haha

i feel really shakey, and starving at min but i know it will be worth it and i know that it is bettering my life! i feel other than the shakes n stuff a whole load better, i dont feel bloated im sleeping better etc etc :flirt2:

Don't bother with the sticks - they don't really add any benefit IMO. I know I'm in ketosis when I get freezing cold. I personally am lucky and don't get the stinky breath (unless everyone's just being very polite!!). xx

Good :D. I have bleached the bathroom and kitchen floors today to try and strip all the cat wee smell out and any areas where the dog has wee'd too. Hopefully none of them can smell the patches or any other animals now. Then I got all over-enthusiastic and bleached the sink and toilet as well and moved some stuff around on the units!! Tomorrow - shake and vac the carpets. Sadly I don't think anything is going to get the wee smell out of the sofa however despite me liberally spraying NoVac pet odour remover all over it.

Went to Dedham, had a prawn mayo baguette with a handful of nachos and a few of my friend's chips with half a pint of shandy. Oh dear. Even if I'm good tomorrow and Wednesday then I will have been "naughty" more days than virtuous this week on WI :(. How am I gonna get back on it??? Grrr....xx

Awww hun so what if it is a bad week you are almost there ;) as long as you enjoy yourself x

Not you as well Jubbly......pastry???? Oh no!!!!!! Hope you are doing OK and keeping on track now. Sending big hugs your way xxx

Our **** carpet will forever smell of dog (pug) pee. OH even rented a professional steam cleaner and cleaned it all up before we got married. The problem is that the pee has been soaked into the padding beneath the carpet. So not only is our carpet ugly, it stinks!!! I use "Odoban" to spray on the carpet about once a week and it helps a lot, but you have to spray regularly. :( We can't afford to replace the carpet just yet unfortunately. I want tile or wood! Stupid dogs... anyway, sorry about my rant, it's my long way of saying "omg i understand!"
