Skulldilocks Food diary

Well, I'm back and as expected guys... I didn't stick to plan :p haha. In my defence I was up against it and I've pulled myself straight back on today, so hoping I can get a maintain out of it. Normally I would've stayed on the naughty stuff today.

So I arrived in Leeds 2 hours later than expected and we didn't do a stop! so I didn't eat anything between by large synfree breakfast and 9.30pm. My bananas got completely crushed and my grapes were gone off so not a great success haha! We ended up going to an authentic BBQ joint and there wasn't really a great choice so I just ordered one of the smaller dishes on the menu haha! Pulled pork and chicken sandwich with chips. Considering how little I ate during the day, I know its not SW but calorie wise I may not have been too bad and I didn't drink.

On Saturday we were off to the venue for midday and didn't leave until 3am. I had an apple and 2 alpen light bars for breakfast but we had no kettle in our room so I couldn't make my mug shots. The entire time I was in the venue I didn't drink as the only foods available were curry, pizza, chips, burgers and pasties. I stuck to rum and diet coke apart from one cider and I didn't drink half as much as last time, I stopped drinking at about 9pm. As you can expect we were famished by the time we got back and my friends were hammered so 24 hour Dominos was ordered. Again, not good for syns but hopefully not too bad D:
Yesterday I was on the coach home most of the day so I didn't eat much at all and grabbed a toastie when home. So yeah, not great but still a step up from last year when I had about 3 dinners on the Saturday and burger king on the way home, as well as double the booze!

So today I'm back on plan. Off to Curves tonight as have started getting lifts to and from work so less walking.

That really doesn't sound too bad at all, Lily! The pulled pork chicken sambo sounds so good! x

I just did some calculating and definitely went over my weekly synned just over the weekend so going to stay synfree til Wednesday and cut out some carbs I think!

Oh my god it was heavenly! We don't have one of these authentic BBQ joints where we live but me and the OH have a massive thing for the stuff you see on Man Vs Food lol! I love homemade pulled pork but the real thing is simply amazing :p

Ooh in New York they have a Texas BBQ restaurant in Times Square and it's amazing! Definitely have to indulge when you're away from home though, I wouldn't worry too much. Well done for not sabotaging the rest of the week, I think that's where most people's problem lies cos we think we've ruined it so might aswell have the full week off but in reality getting back on plan will reverse some of the damage! X

Yup this will be the first time in ages that I've had an indulgent weekend and not had a Monday consisting of upper crust for brekkie, chocolate and all sorts etc. Just knowing I'm back in control means even if I get a gain, I won't be upset because I've already started helping towards the loss next week :)

Going to start going back to Asda I think. We seem to be spending more with Tesco at the mo despite saving on delivery. Also means I can get those HEX B wraps :p

Yeah exactly! Being in control is the best feeling.

I find tesco has the best offers at the min for us so I get my shopping delivered from there. We've just got to go where the offers are don't we x

Fully aware the food is looking boring, waiting for the shopping to be delivered Thursday! Lots of yumminess on the way!

Tuesday EE day

Breakfast:

2x Alpen lights (HEX B)
Banana (SF)
Milk for tea (HEX A)

Lunch:

Mugshot BBQ Beef
Apple (SF/S)
Mullerlight toffee

Dinner:
Bacon
Egg
Tomatoes (SF/S)

I don't know about Tesco in UK but the prices here have gotten ridiculous! €5 for a bag of pink lady apples! Come on!!! x

Its not too bad here, like Rochelle said, when certain deals are on its fine, but I do find their fruit to be more expensive than a lot of places! I tend to try and avoid getting delivery because things can go out of date quicker but I've done a huge shop and its come to like £52 for 50 items. Going to have to make room in the fridge :p
x

Well, Weigh day awaits tomorrow eve but I think as long as the gain is only minimal, I'll be happy regardless. Why? Because I've got back to being in control. I don't feel the need to binge just because I ate badly at the weekend. I've got a nice big shop on the way Thursday and enough to keep me going til then. I've planned my food all the way up to next Friday and all the meals are super yummy. My breakfasts will be samey, as I now have even less time in the morning but I'm sure once I adapt I can get more in.

Seeing as I'm super bored at work, I thought I'd post what my big shop consists of. The majority of this will last us the month as we freeze a lot. We'll have to pick up bits here and there like bread, veg etc but the cupboard stuff will last us a long time. This lot came to £55:

6x wholemeal baps
Dairylea light cheese slices
Vegetable soup mix
3x chopped toms
Quorn meatballs
Asda white choc bubbles
Mini fingers toffee crunch
2x packs of mini choc digestives
Jalapenos
Ketchup
2x Sweetener
2x pack McCains jackets
8x oreo ice creams
Pack potatoes
Mushy peas
Soy sauce
2x red kidney beans
3x baked beans
1.1kg pork shoulder joint
Quark
Rice
Pasta
Frozen chicken fillets
Red onions
Frozen diced onions
Frozen peppers
Mixed salad
Mushrooms
2x Quorn LF sausages
Grapes
6x Granny smith apples
Gluten free wraps

12 extra large eggs

Wow, some list! Seems like you got a good bit for £55!

What way do you shop? Do you plan meals then add the ingredients to your shopping list? I would go through 3 tins of chopped tomatoes in a week easily! xx
I tend to plan then buy. The last couple of months we haven't really done a big shop and just buy as we go but we found ourselves in Tesco nearly everyday and spending far more than necessary as I end up picking up things just because they're on offer!

Our staples that we always have in are things like eggs, mushrooms, onions, chopped toms, milk, cheese, salad yogs, fruit for me and we normally have a large batch of quorn mince or chicken pieces as I stock up when on offer. We already have a couple of tins of chopped toms but this will last us. This week's I fancied the pulled pork and the meatballs, so they slotted in as multiple meals coming up, whereas things like the frozen chicken are good for quick grilling for salads :)

We plan too, I write out a meal plan for the week and work out what we need from that. And extra bits like yogurts, fruit, milk etc. We find it better as we know what we're cooking each day x

After being very very careful with my eating today (hence the lack of post today) its been a waste of time as I can't make weigh in tonight now! GRRR
I have a meeting for work at 6pm and by the time its over and I've got the train back I won't get there in time. So annoying, as I know I wasn't good at the weekend, I wanted to clean the slate and know the truth.
Just going to carry on like tomorrow is a new day and hopefully the lack of Image Therapy won't affect me too much this week. x

Aw babes - Is there another group you can go to tomorrow?x

Unfortunately all the other groups in my area are earlier so I won't get home in time! Plus, I love my group so much that even if I went to weigh, I doubt I'd want to stay with people I didn't know. I am a serious creature of routine! :p Anyway, I had a bit of a last supper situation last night but today is the start of a no damage week. Me and the boyfriend have hardly seen each other (despite living together) lately so we're going to spend the whole weekend at home to save money. We've planned yummy on plan food to accompany lazy days of blankets and films. So no booze or out of town temptations. Hoping for a big loss to make up for 2 weeks worth. Thank god our food shop comes today! Getting sick of mugshots!
