Summer's weight loss journey - one day at a time

Ummm FANTA CHICKEN?! Whaaat? :D explain please!

Have been meaning to go to asda, will look out for the yoghurty flakes there then!

fanta chicken is basically a syn free sweet and sour! It's really nice - not like 8.5 syn chinese takeout sweet and sour nice but an alright alternative. Basically fry chicken in frylight and onions, peppers, carrots, mushrooms and a bit of garlic then make the sauce which is just a can of fanta zero, 2 tbsp soy sauce and 5 tbsp passata, I add chinese 5 spice to mine too or you could add a few chilli flakes, heat it all up on the hob for about 25-30 mins. It takes ages to thicken but if you cook on a high heat in a wide pan or a wok it speeds the process up. Add sweetener to taste. I tend to cook my sauce separately from my veg because I find it goes a bit mushy otherwise. Ohh and add chunks of fresh pineapple just before serving!

Yum!! Sounds delish :D defintely going to try Fanta chicken, thanks!
How are you doing today? How's stuff at home? X

Stuff at home is much better than you Hun. I'm ok but can't shake this feeling I'm coming down with something. My throat hurts and I have ear ache :(
Absolutely loved the millers, awesome film!! Fell off the wagon a little at the cinema with 2 scoops of Ben and Jerry's fro yo! It was amazing!! Hopefully won't affect WI too much as I'm not really eating much with feeling crap!

So seriously fed up today. Have turned to chocolate for comfort and even that isn't working. I may not even bother getting on the scales tomorrow as I know that will make me feel worse. Trying to prepare for interviews and nothing is sticking in my head, just feel so negative.

1.5lb off this week. Glad I made myself get on the scales. Not the 2lb I hoped for and missed 2 stone award by half a lb! Hoping for it next week and aiming to lose 2lb to get on track for Xmas mini goal.

Going to try really hard to have a full week 100% on plan. I know it'll make me feel better and a decent loss next week will give me an extra boost before my big interview next Friday.

Well done on 1.5 loss!! Can smell that 2st award! Awesome :D will be nice motivation for a 100% week that you'll be 2st down by next week if you do! :D

Was just playing about with bbc BMI calc site for a bit of fun, according to that 6stone 11lb would be the lower end of "normal" for me! Thats mental!! No plans to get that skinny, trying to get out of the "obese" range is hard enough

Had a not very SW day today. Well that's not strictly true, had a 100% day and only 3 syns up until dinner. Went to mom and dads for dinner as hubby on night shift and sis in law working late. Was so nice having dinner with my parents and brother just the 4 of us!! I think it's probably the first time for like 4 years!!
Mom did a nice roast beef dinner but had Yorkshire pudding, mash with butter and then a home made choc bread and butter pud for dessert. Was fabulous but reminded me why I didn't lose any weight when I lived at home!

Still absolutely full of cold virus, feeling so miserable. Meant to be working an extra shift on Sunday but might have to cancel...

Doesnt sound too bad a dinner, probably only just over synned really!
Sorry that you've been feeling rough... Make a nice soup to aid your cold in this nasty weather, get a couple of superfree filled meals in to get you nearer to that loss you want next week!
Have been too lazy to make soup recently but has been SO cold the past couple of days that I think it's time I do! Next time I stock up in cheap veg at the market anyway... :) x

Major chocolate binge today, think I've had about 35 syns worth and it's all because I'm so frigging stressed!! I'm due star week the end of the week too which probably isn't helping the cravings.

I cannot wait for this week to be over.

Have made a lovely big batch of my absolute favourite soup to last the weeks lunches to try to get back on track tomorrow.

Damn, I had about 40 syns of crap yesterday too!

What's in your fave soup? I need to try following some soup recipes as I just throw stuff into mine and 70% of the time they kinda suck  haha
Hope the stress cools off soon! X
