Sunshine's Trip To Pre Baby Weight (start Thurs 13th oct, p 91)

I think Laura could be right. It's hard getting back into something especially when you have so much on aswell.

I am v much considering 1200 at the moment.
I think a higher structure and then moving down gradually could be a better option, or if it works out well then no need to move down. x
 
Hi Sunshine - It's so hard doing the lower plans as a re-start! I've tried starting 810 a couple of times, but never managed so now I'm working on relaxing into a 12-1500 calorie range. Not counting properly, just working it out in my head and will see how I go. Then again I don't have a wedding date to look forward to. If I were you I'd consider doing 1200 as I found 1000 a bit of a nothing step. With 810 you have the benefit of mild ketosis but you lose that on 1000, yet there's not enough food to keep you from feeling hungry. The extra 200 cals on 1200 makes it more manageable and is therefore much easier to stick to.

Just my personal opinion though - I know some people here love the 1000 plan.
 
Thank you thank you thank you for all your advice. I'm gonna have a look at the 1000 and 1200 plans in the yellow book and see what I think. I think I'll look at tomorrow as a fresh start as I'll be trying dresses on and fingers crossed to finding the right one. New day, new dress, new lifestyle. I'll look into exercise too while I'm at it. Gotta get real here.

You're all so lovely and I think I'll make the most of my diary to get me through. I'm dreading my official weighin on Tuesday night! Anyway I can't undo what is done.

I'm currently defrosting the car so we can go get some supplies. Probably safer to drive at night and he's a highly trained driver. I did walk to a store earlier but couldn't carry too much back as it's quite a walk especially with snow. Back soon x

Alli - that's exactly what I was saying on Claire's thread. For me, 1000 was only okay as a step up but when it's more than 1000 calories below my BMR minimum and I'm fairly active (even if I am not exercising), I don't see it as enough food for people to go on. Glad I'm not alone with that!

Oh my god my head is wrecked! Luckily I had some rub on fake tan so I was nicely brown to go bridal shopping. basically I've tried so many styles on and have found what suits me. Just got to find the right dress now. Found a designer who I love so off to London on Monday to go try they're samples. And then if that's a no go I'll check out bridal wear in London for the day. Moving all my work off the day for this so I hope it's really worth it. Failing that I have seen some I lole locally and will try them on Friday.

The snow here is so bad that's it's proving hard getting around so not an ideal time to find a dress. Sorry to be going on but it's heavily on my mind and I'm a bit stressed about it. If I had ages I wouldn't mind but 4 months is nothing for wedding dresses. Ah well got to relax about it.

The good thing is I was pleased with how the dresses are looking even tho I'm heavier. I really am motivated now tho to lose this stone once And for all. I got back so late last night I didn't get time to read up on the higher plans and refresh my memory on 1000. So far today as I've been so busy all I've had is 2 poridges and a tuna salad. For 810 I still need another cd meal so I'll do that today and have a read of the famous yellow book in a min while watching Notting hill lol.

If I can do 810 happily I'd prefer that And I'd get to goal fast, pressure off and llearn the hard bit of maintaining well in advance of my wedding. However I tend to be sick on this plan and fear 1000 or 1200 is going to have to be. Right I'll go read.

g dress shopping would be a sinch! How wrong I was lol. So fingers crossed for Monday.

Off to Bristol tomorrow to help a friend flat hunt. Just what I need but hey ho :)

810 810 810 Reminder

Well I have read through the famous yellow cd booklet....... and it's made me even more determined to stick with 810. We need at least 6 weeks to work up 1000, 1200 and 1500 plans as we really need at least 2 weks on each plan. As i'm getting fed up of being on cd (I'm sorry to say....but we're not meant to be on it for ever :) ) i feel i want to lose the weight asap and get on with moving up the plans properly. I don't do following recipies and ingredients well... i want to follow those plans for as little time as poss.
If I stay on 810 I'll lose that stone in a month. On 1000-1200 it could take 2 months. I'm very impatient. So i'm writing this here as a massive reminder to myself and am going to print it for the fridge door so I can re-read.
At the end of the day every time i go off plan i'm putting the weightloss back and its getting me no-where.

I am very aware that after a blip I always come back with the big 'I'm SO BACK on track and everything is going to be fine speech. This time I'm going to take it day by day and stop panicking. I have the rest of my life to eat the yummy foods on 1000 + plans....whats 4 weeks on 810 if it means i get to goal.
Of course I have to sort out the sickness I feel on 810 but perhaps mottillium would sort that out for the short term.

Up early tomorrow so cd porridge & coffee first thing.
Eating out - aiming for 810 based meal - likely to be salad
Drive home - taking choc mint shake
Home later - cd porridge

Numerous coffees throughout the day to keep me going I'm sure.

We're going early so I can have a wonder around highstreet bridalwear just to compare before meeting our friend.

Thanks again to all of you for your posts yesterday. I have to agree with what you were all saying....i've never tried 1200 but i see what you're all saying.

Sunshine!! I can't believe it!! You mentioning the Faraway Tree books!! I loved them and it was when I discovered them at aged 7 that I started to become the avid reader that I am now. (So much for the educational establishment sneering at Enid Blyton!)
Moonface, Silky and the pop biscuits....there were some other ones ....what were they called?.....
I kept them all and read them to my children too.

The wedding dress shopping sounds fun and 4 months is ages, we got married 8 weeks after my OH asked me, had the dress made, still like it. But I have to say that none of my slim daughters can fit into it! ......I was very skinny. Ho hum!

I'm thinking of going back to SS+, like you, I want the fast weight loss. Not quite sure yet though....

Hi bess. I loved those books too. I mentioed them on here when someone wanted telling off. Dame slap lol. Moonface, silky, washer woman etc. Oohhh great books. Really magical. I bought them last year to gave the set as mine were given away. I'll def read them to my kids when I have them.

On my way to Bristol now. Finding it hard getting up these days with being so tired. I have the mint shake as planned. Haven't had a shake as a shake in months. I'm hardly drinking water which is silly but I'm not wanting it which is strange for me. Better start.

Great to have Mini's and Internet on my travels. I can check in at any time. Bonus.

Ahhhhhhhhhh I have have picked my dress. It's very different to my original thoughts but I'm gonna be in 35 degrees in Mexico so have to go light weight. I tried so many big gowns on And even tho some were beautiful I was swamped in them being 5 ft 1 in. So no piccies I'm afraid but it's a very simple pronovious gown in tuille and loads of it. It's a soft strapless sweetheart neckline, empire- ish with inward rouching on the bust. It's lovely And it's scared me into dieting lol. Seeing my CDC tomorrow night so I'll have a chat with her. It's ordered in a size 12, same as sample. I'm a size 11 now and hope to be a size 10 on 3 months for my fitting. Very excited and very relieved. It's going to set the relaxed atmosphere got my wedding and it's just so comfortable. Better go catch up with my sister.

Back tomorrow. Got to walk 45 mins to work in the snow tomorrow where there is no heating in the building. Joy. Zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz in nod

What a day! Started with the 40 min walk to work on ice. I slid all the way up and down hills. Slipped and hurt my shoulder ( on the gritted bit lol). Anyway that put me in a right mood. Taught from 9-5 30. I laughed at how grouchy I was being resenting being in work. Think I woke up on the wrong side of the bed hehe.

We made our way to my CDC. Got my supplies for 2 weeks. She and I decided long term I'm better on 1000 for a while and with this cold weather it's more doable with the odd 810 day if I wish. I'm so exhausted that I need the extra calories so I'm doing my best to stick with it and make 1000 a lifestyle choice for the time being. I'm still keeping my 810 post on the fridge tho as it's all for the same goal. We got stuck in the ice after at cdcs and I had to push the car up hill!!!!!!!! Whatever next lol.

Lots of stress coming from other halves family over our wedding which I'm trying to ignore.

Anyway I was awake for hours last night thinking about my dress lol which is a good sign. It must be 'the' one haha. Stuck to 1000 today.

Gonna brave driving in the ice providing the conditions haven't changed overnight. Working 9- 7 30 tomorrow which is a long day so better get to bed. All I do now is think of my dress, which hides nothing!!!!!!, and it stops me reaching for those snacks. Otherhalf had Chinese tonight which didn't bother me so I'm happy about that.

Sorry if I sound low, I'm just warn out for no reason at all. I'm still a happy girl.

I missed your dress update. It sounds gorgeous.

Good luck with 1000. I know a few people on here have struggled with 1000 just as a diet ie not when they weren't moving up the plans because it's such a very low calorie step (more than 1000 below BMR normally) where you aren't in ketosis but from memory, you've done well with it so really hope it works well for you again.

Good luck with 1000. I'm on it now at the moment and love it; I'm going to move up to 1200 too and don't want to leave it all behind. Sorry to hear about all the stress and I hope your shoulder is better xx

I think 1000 is a great step........ and I think your right to stick with that at the moment as we do need those extra calories at the moment whilst its so cold.. Also you can have fruit which is great for a little treat..

Hi girlies and diary,

Much better day today :) walked to work but so much easier as it was fresh snow over the ice. 1000 going well so far. Feel better after some better sleep last night.

Suppose this snow walking is a great way to start off my exercise fir the new year. No choice really!

Okay more work to do x
