Surfhunny's Countdown to Florida

Had quite a productive afternoon, went shopping with mum and bro. Even survived a trip to KFC with bro. Could've slapped the woman in front of me at sainsburys though. Mum put her ww soup through with my 6 bottles of water and the woman dared ask me if I was on some kind of crash diet?!?!?!? Cheeky mare! I just said no should I be? She didn't answer and mum whacked me for answering back like that :(

I've bought my 4.5 tog summer duvet, so hopefully thatll keep me cool. I'm also doing an experiment at the moment. I'm allergic to certain antihistamines but don't know which ones so I don't know if it's all or just certain ones. I'm really struggling at the moment with my urticaria so I'm trying to find out if there's an antihistamine I can take that won't make me worse.

I've taken one tablet about 15 minutes ago, and I usually react within half an hour and the tablets are active in 15 minutes so if anything is going to happen it'll be soon......

So far so good with the antihistamine, no rash as yet!! This one could be the one I'm not allergic to hooray!!

I'm just watching supersize vs superskinny and once again I'm stunned by what the big person eats, and manages to stay at 18st I'd be pushing 30st if I had 8000 calories everyday!! And she drinks 6 liters of coke a DAY!!!

LOL, yes - I was just watching that. 8,000 calories?

Makes me feel better about what I term to be a binge though. My ability to put away 2,000 calories in an hour when I'm in 'that place' now seems quite restrained... :D

You've got 6000 cals to spare and that's after a binge! It makes me feel better too!! But it does still worry me a lot that I would not even need to eat 3000 cals a day for week before I gained massive amounts of weight....

I couldn't believe the size of her portions! Totally shocking!

I know, that roast would feed me for a week! Scary stuff!!

I'm gutted, yet another allergic reaction to an antihistamine :( I'm absolutely covered in the rash, I don't really want to go to work because it looks contagious but it's not it's just allergy. The picture on the left is my normal urticaria the other two are my allergic reaction, totally different types. I generally get my normal urticaria on my hands and feet and knees if I get hot, but this is everywhere :( except my face fortunately.

I'm better off just putting up with the normal urticaria because there's less of it than this mad reaction.

On the plus side, no more swollen glands or sore throat yay :D

that's not nice at all. i feel for you. can you not find anything at all that can help?

Oh no, that looks really painful. I'm sorry your not having much luck with sorting it out long term. Is it linked to sweating as you say you get it when hot? I know some people who have had Botox (I think) injections to help with things linked to sweating?

I hope it calms down for you soon

:)

When I got to work I popped into A&E. The dr immediately tried to give me antihistamines lol, but when I explained the situation he pretty much told me all he could do was give me a steroid injection - no ta!!! He also said in future to avoid antihistamines - duh!! I could go to my gp and get referred for allergy tests, but he didn't see the point as it's quite apparent what I'm allergic to. The only thing that could help my normal urticaria is steroids and I don't need any extra help to get fat lol.

So I'm going to put up and shut up cos no ones coming near me with steroids!!!

Probably sensible avoiding the steroids, but still a horrible thing to put up with. I used to suffer with awful eczema/psoriasis on my feet as a kid, literally couldn't walk in the summer as a child due to cracking and bleeding, but luckily ive 'grown out of it'. Will it get better with weight loss? Seems everything else is supposed to!

:)

It's just one of those things, no explanation for why or when it comes on. Weightloss won't help but being in ketosis makes it better. Although one of the busy bodies at work blamed my elephant man appearance this morning on 'that bloody diet' lol. Silly cow didn't believe me when told her it was because of antihistamine allergy, it's partly why I popped round to A&E. I tell you what, if I got ran over by a bus it would be because of 'that diet' stupid ignorant people!!

I can cope with it, it'll pass it always does. I just need to be patient, oh and a pair of scratch mitts lol.

Haha!! My boss seems to think 'that diet' makes me moody and difficult to work with. My colleagues got so fed up with her putting me down they have started dropping hints "don't you think Rhi is happier than we've ever seen her since shes been losing weight" etc!!

I have resisted the urge to tell her it ain't the diet making me grumpy, but the nightmare cases she keeps allocating to me, and her incessant obsession with hitting bloody targets!!

:)

Your boss and mine should meet up, mines barely spoken to me since our meeting last Friday which is great for me lol. He's such a moody princess!! He's trying to get one over on me but I'm a couple of steps ahead of him at the moment because he's so predictable lol.

I think they're trying to hide their own shortcomings by projecting onto us!! My LM certainly is!! With him all day tomorrow, so just going to pretend nothing has happened and kill him with kindness lol, he hates that cos he can't come back from it he he, two can play his game matey, I just have a different approach!

To be fair, my boss is actually lovely, just very straight laced. She follows rules to the T, even to the detriment of the service we provide to offenders sometimes, and is very much up the senior managers arses. She also has low tolerance of any type of diet (as she would being a natural size 8 with a chocolate addiction!!). The combination of he work obsession and hatred for diets means she automatically thinks that anyone waiting lettuce must be letting it affect their work!! She told me when I re-started CD "make sure you don't let it affect your colleagues, its not fair, remember how vile it made you last time". Except I don't remember even being in a bad mood at all lat time, and I've asked colleagues (who would defo tell me the truth!!) and they don't recall anything either. I wonder if shes got mixed up!!

I do feel for you with your LM though, have worked with slopey shouldered snidey people myself before and it's a nightmare!

:)
