Surfhunny's Countdown to Florida

Plus I'm having the TOTM from hell and having a real tough time at work with a junior colleague who is having issues with authority figures (ie me) who are younger than him & female. Not sure how to tackle that one.

Also had meeting yesterday with management about my hours when our shift system comes in. They couldn't answer any of my questions so I'm still none the wiser!!!

I'm so stressed, my life is sh!t right now

did the audi driver phone you? i'm back to struggling after having a good'ish week. going to do damage limitation. then go hardcore from sunday.... sunday is a good day to start. thought i'd broken my little toe earlier. it hurts and has swollen up. can hardly move it without feeling pain. no bruise as yet. teaching zumba tonight though.

p.s just started doing weights again. did a bit of a pump class today but had to leave early to get kids from the creche. manage a squat track, chest track and a power lift track before having to leave. did this after zumba too.

well done Nikki ive just rang my personal trainer again... he worked me dam hard and noticed such a difference in my shape..!

I did body pump yesterday, keep at it Nikki :)

hey Sal hope u have had a better day today?x

Better day today, couldn't really have been worse. Was a victim of a practical joke at work, because people wanted to cheer me up, and my friends have rallied round me, so while my life is still a bit sh!tty I have great friends.

Growing quite concerned because Audi woman still hasn't called me back, I'm a bit scared she's rang her insurance and told them I wouldn't give her my details..... That's probably my paranoia. I've attached a pic of the damage to my car, the black on grey bit will come off with a scrubbing brush and the small black stripe on the silver will t-cut out, the other black bits at the front are flys, easily fixed...... Unlike the paper-doored Audi!

did you take her reg? do they have cameras at work? ask security for an image if you can. at least if you can get her reg you can contact the police or your insurance.

I did take her reg but not going to call the police because I'm the one in the wrong not her, ive done all I can it's down to her to ring me for my insurance policy number, I did offer to ring her but she wouldn't give me her number. At the time I figured it was because she didn't trust me to ring her back with my details, which was fair enough. If the damage to my car was more I'd call the police but it'll wash off so I'm not going to claim.

Do you reckon she wasnt insured?

The thought has crossed my mind. It's poss it could be here hubby's car and she's not been properly insured... I don't know, I think she's prob just getting a quote to see if it's worth not going through insurance, if that's the case it would've been nice to let me know.

I've emailed my uncle who's a magistrate to see if there's anything she can do to me legally, because I'm scared she'll try and say I hit and ran. So glad I rang security to report it!

How're you doing Kez have you got your car sorted?

Still no call from Audi owner, it's making me anxious. Everyone says forget about it, but I can't relax I hate having it hanging over me like this. I keep thinking about all the things she could be doing about it to get me into trouble. I've done all I can reasonably do, she didn't want to give me her number so it's up to her now.....

As a result of all my anxiety my diet is appalling, but I'm calling a halt to the emotional eating. It's mums belated birthday meal tomorrow night so after that I'll knuckle down again.

You said you reported it to the hospital security didnt you? So you have got proof you didnt do a runner.

If she hasnt contacted you by now, my betting is she wasnt insured or shouldnt have been driving.

If you are really that worried you could always call your company and report it? Give them the regustration and then it shows you've been proactive? But I would worry they would increase my premium even without a claim.

Yep reported it to security and they ran her reg through their database, it wasn't there but that at least means they'll have a record. Also should have cctv of me writing my details down and handing them to her. My Dad said not to contact my insurance until a claim is actually being made cos like you say they use the slightest excuse to put premiums up regardless of my protected no claims. I just hate not knowing what's going on. My friends hubby is one of our security guards so I'm going to ask him if he knows if she's been in touch with them. I was fine until one of the lads from work said she's probably going through her solicitor..... That scares me, cos I've done all I can and can't afford a solicitor. I hate this!!!

Why would she go through a solicitor for a bumped door! Its more likely that she shouldnt have been driving and thats why she was caged about giving you here details.

I would try not to worry, you did your part and the ball is in their court.

Ha ha that's what I said, it was just Ric trying to wind me up, I didn't rise to it at the time but thought too much about it after. This is my problem I over think EVERYTHING!!!! I'll keep you informed....

God - I know exactly what you're going through - a few years back I was totally fully comp and all covered and I reversed into someone in a petrol station in a dodgy bit of Bristol late at night. Totally my fault - but no worries cos I was covered to the nines, yeah. The guy said 'Just give me 200 quid' and I said, no - here's my policy number and contact info, I'm fully comp and I'm happy for you to make a claim. He never called my insurers or my mobile number. In that area of Bristol it was unlikely the car was even his...but still it preyed on my mind for months and months.

If she goes through her solicitor you just pass the letter to your insurer saying, 'This is her first contact with me following the event'

I'm insured to the 9s too, I can't imagine taking the risk. I think I'm just finding it hard to believe that someone would drive an Audi 4x4 without insurance  bug Dad, ever the sensible one said imagine how much insurance costs on that thing.... They might be able to afford the car but can they afford to insure it? Glad I'm not her if she's not insured

I have just had a massive revelation a few seconds ago!!! I'M AN EXCUSE EATER!!! I can find any excuse to eat, I've had a bad day, I've had a good day, I've exercised, I haven't exercised, I'm nights..... The list of excuses is endless and I can literally justify anything I put in my mouth!! I came to this realization watching Australia's Biggest Loser!
