Susiewoosies numb

Sorry I didn't give an update yesterday feeling quite rough when I got back from hospital asmy IBS was playing up.

They're giving him more tablets to bring the heart rate down. I can't spell it but it sounds like Dijoxin. His kidneys seem to be coping better and the breathlessness comes and goes. They are still treating the pneumonia coz thats taking its time. Today (tuesday) they are going to start him on warfarin and they are also going to take him for a scan if he's stronger.

He did manage to eat some soup yesterday which is good as well.

morning susie
just wanted to say keep your chin up and look after YOU too !! I have IBS too due to stress its no wonder yours is playing up with so much worry....
thinking of you and hope dad is better soon
love and hugs gilly xxxx

Well they have taken him for his ct scan and they are going to get him sitting in the chair for a bit so that is good. Just feeling guilty about not visiting. The nurses say he's okay about it but.........
The doctor has also decided to keep his medication thw same

dont feel guilty, he'll understand, oh and good news bout them getting him sitting up, look after yourself too xxxx

Hi hun, glad to hear he's had something to eat and is sat up. How are you? Has the IBS calmed down yet? xxx

Thanks guys. I went back to bed about 12 and have just got back up again (5pm) Just having some veg soup. IBS is still leaving me achy and my stomach keeps making awful noises but it seems better than yesterday and earlier

Update on dad and Jessie.
Dad is looking a lot stronger. He is mostly off the oxygen and the cathater has been taken out so thats good. The ct scan shows that part of hislung has collapsed but they think that has happened gradually with the lung cancer. His heart rate has reduced but the rhythm is still out of wack.

Can't remember if Ive mentioned Jessie or not. She's my Jack Russell and she's 13 1/2 years old. On Monday she was having stomach spasms and I took her to the vet. I picked her up yesterday morning and they were happy with her. This morning she woke me having difficulty breathing and her whole body was going into spasms. I took her straight o the vet and her mild heart murmur has turned major very quickly. There was a lot of fluid building up on her lungs. They are doing some tests to see if any of her other organs are damaged and they have given her an injection to release some fluid. I'm going to pick her up on Saturday as the vet said with the next 2 days being BH's and me not being able to drive I would have difficulty getting her in quick if needed.

So I think I've had enough now.

lets hope 2009 is the year for you susie xxx

Aww hun, you're having a rough time of it lately, hope everything starts to look more positive, do you know when your Dad can come home yet? x

Thanks Rainbow and Lou. Not sure when he's coming home yet, they said it would be a few more days which could be anything. My IBS has just gone haywire and I've not helped by having fish chips and curry sauce for tea. Then I had 2 curry pies that were in the fridge. Why do I still do it. I get upset and the first thing I want to do is eat.

It's only natural to reach for food hun, don't beat yourself up over it, after all (I dunno about you but).. I've been reaching for food for years when I want comfort, therefore you can't break the addiction over night.

Concentrate on your Dad and dog and try and fit in a shop so you can have lots of SW friendly things in the fridge xxx

Thanks Lou

Just popping in to put my food down

B: had 2 sachets porridge
D: wedges, baked beans and quorn crispy fillets (6 syns)
Snacks : batchelors low fat noodles and I'm just gonna have some chocoloate

Feeling very drained today

That is great news hun, hope he's feeling better now. How is your IBS? Remember to look after yourself too x
