Syns 'n Stuff - My Daily Food Diary

Flip... have been busy and have forgotten to come back and post! (I used to go onto Minimins on my phone a lot, but my phone is getting more and more rubbisher and rubbisher so am phone shopping, etc) So, yes. Here to catch up. (So glad I wrote them down!)

Saturday:
coffee milk sugar (2 syns)
banana, satsuma
cold potatoes (with s&p)
black coffee
chicken mugshot
Pan-fried Ham-Potato-Sweetcorn (with Frylight of course) and steamed broccoli.
2 small red wines (12 syns)
2 x ryvita, with 3 x light cow cheese
2 fig bars (3.5 flipping syns each! I thought they were more like 1 or 2, so this is where I boobed up Saturday)


Sunday:
coffee milk sugar (2 syns)
satsuma
2 x ryvita topped with quark and smoked salmon and a poached egg
chicken, mash (done with ff yogurt), steamed carrots, pan-fried leeks
mullerlight coconut (1/2 syn)
elderflower sparkle juice

Today:
Coffee Milk Sugar (2 syns)
a few pieces of a satsuma - and that was it, for the whole morning! So by lunchtime I was starving and wolfed down:
a whole can of sainsburys beef ravioli
sparkle juice
Then spent a good chunk of time in the kitchen making SW quiche, spaghetti sauce, and chili.
Around 4pm, went to sample my quiche and ended up eating a great splodge of it, then ate my daughters chili and mash too (she didn't want it) and have helped myslef to a few more mouthfuls of cold chili throughout the evening. :)
Ooh, and had another mullerlight coconut (1/2 syn)


I still have my HexA and B to use up today, so might check my books and see if I might replace my ryvita and cow cheese with something different! I had a grocery order delivered today and there were some interesting looking Mullerlights on there - Coconut with a hint of lime, and After Dinner Mint? Will have to look up the syns for those...

Well moonbeam that all looks soooo healthy and on plan. Even the eating extras of your cooking is sw plan afterall! Well done. Hope the wine didnt call? ;)

Umm... Monday night didn't work out so well after all :(
I stayed up after everyone had gone to bed and all the housework was done, and had... Yep, a big glass of wine!
* sigh *
I ended up wandering into the study where I found the kids lunchbox treats and wolfed down two Kitkats in a row, then went on the prowl thru the kitchen cupboards. Like some sort of animal scavenging in the wild. I could almost hear David Attenborough commentating. So sad. Luckily, I only ended up scoffing half of the SW quiche I had made, so no more syns, but not proud of my pigginess.

Yesterday's foodage was okay, synwise, but not enough superfree;
Coffee milk sugar, 2 syns
Tomato Mugshot
Satsuma, more quiche, raw carrots
Syn free Spanish sausage Jacket potato, chilli, dollop of ff Greek yogurt, steamed carrots
4 x Ryvita, 2 x light cow cheese, marmite

I WILL do this!

Hi Bubs!! Good thanks, busy, but pretty not bad.

Holy, I've been completely rubbish tho, at posting my food and keeping up to date here. New phone tomoz, so hopefully that will make a difference! I have been fine during the day foodwise this week, cooked and snacked on loads of synfree food like lasagna and bacon and butternut squash risotto, but did have a bad night last night and scoffed nearly a whole bag of Bacon Rashers that I had bought for my husband. There were loads of other (SW friendly) things I could have munched on, ryvita and light cow cheese, carrot and pepper sticks with syn free hommous, boiled egg, Sainsburys Beef ravioli, Mullerlights.
It's easy to say now that I was an idiot and should have gone for the SW friendly stuff. But in that moment, Slimming World didn't matter, I just wanted a a taste of something yummy. And once I had a taste, I just kept going.

So, yes, that was that.

Today have had:

Coffee milk sugar (2syns)
water
leftover lasagna
mugshot
cuppa tea
grilled fish and SW chips

Very un-colourful food today, didn't have/take the time to prep fruit and veg. :( Better tomorrow.

I know that feeling very well about having a taste for something nice then not being able to stop. :eek:

How the new phone, it takes a while to get things all set up on them. Think I've got mine sussed now and yes having mins on the phone is so much easier to post from. I only really come on the laptop once and a while to update stats etc.

Yes, new phone is okay so far, but still waiting for sim to activate so I can start using it and getting all my apps on. I was able to transfer loads of stuff, contacts and pics and settings using this Migrate app, so that part was easy!
Busy in the garden over the weekend, and catching up on laundry and cuddling with my kiddoes. Yes, wine still there, as well as midnight munchies this weekend. I'm so much better if I've planned everything out and have set aside my allowed snacks for the evening!! It's only if I've not planned anything for myself, that I ended up wandering for food, like a zombie through the kitchen. Actually, no, I'm not like a zombie at all really. More like a chipmunk. Scurrying from cupboard to cupboard. Stuffing food into my cheeks.

Anyhoo. I'm struggling to create this weeks menu, as need to stretch out the food we've got in the house, and maybe just top up with cheap veggies. I think I can do it though. Ok, cuppa tea, then menu. Will pop back in this evening to catch up on everyone's diaries!

And thanks Bubble for popping in. I got my new phone nearly a week ago and it's taken me this long to put Mins on it! I just freaked myself out thinking I had lost all my favourites, but I found you all in the end!
So, menu, yes! I was so proud of myself (still am! ) for coming up with meals for the family for the whole week without doing a shop.
I was sticking with just my usual coffee in the morning, fruit for breakfast, Sw quiche or poached egg and beans for lunch, Ryvita and light Cow Cheese as an evening snack.
Monday we had smoked cod, rice and mixed veg, Tuesday we had syn free sausages, petrified (anyone know how many signs in a boiled potato and quark perogy? ) with a chopped pepper salad. Tonight we're having enchiladas with chicken and love the veggies will update more later as I have hungry y children crawling on me at the moment

*edit! So, um, yes. I didn't have petrified sausages, I had sausages and perogies. And I meant syns obviously, not signs! Hahaha!

G'morning!
I've been awake for nearly an hour and a half, but still haven't bothered to get up yet - just playing with my new phone.

To answer your question, Bubble, no I haven't weighed in in ages. Am going by how I feel, which TBH has been pretty rubbish lately. Had a big scare this week when I realised I was a week late for my TOTM and spent a few anxious days crying, not eating much and Googling tips for kids having to share a small bedroom. Dang hormones! In the end everything was OK but flip, that scared the bejeezus outta me. My body must still be adjusting after having the implant removed.

Was very emotional and had a rough day at work yesterday (understaffed, system failed, massive Qs of phone calls waiting) so when one of my coworkers brought cakes in for his birthday, I was all over them! Then after TKD theory test and workout last night, had a couple large glasses of celebratory/rewarding vino.

So, have once again fallen off the Syn Wagon, and today, once again, drawing that line and restarting.

Food today will be fruit, plated ham salad for lunch, possible Rice Queer Thing for supper, or might do up some SW chips for myself and send hubby out for fish and chips for them... Need to do a big shop, my fridge is soooo empty at the minute!

We could have been chatting this morning ive been awake since 2. Thunderstorms and i dont like them! :(
Cakes and wine sound like just what you needed yesterday. It was in the air yesterday there was at least 5 miniminners i read strayed including me. But hey. Lets get up and start again.

Not that I've had anything great to post about, mind you. Struggling to keep up with goings-on at the mo. Still off and on plan - mostly off over the past week. Will try again to catch up on diaries and stuff tonight... But must run again, toddler/laundry/school run /supper etc needing my attention!

Breaking news! I've gone three nights straight, with NO toast! Hurrah! Decided Sunday night that I would cut out booze and bread for a week, so will be going without the vino this weekend as well. Hopefully this will get me back into a headspace where I can start syn counting and keeping a food diary again!
Hope everyone is doing well. I am due for a good long catch up on everyone's diaries, as haven't been able to log in on my phone for a while. Hope to do so this evening after TKD :)
