Syns 'n Stuff - My Daily Food Diary

Okay, so I didn't manage the whole week... Had half a bagel on Friday morning... And then a glass of wine at a Halloween party that night! Stupidly, i gave up after that and had more wine and bread over the weekend. And Halloween candy. :(
Will try to get myself back on track - I don't want to bother weighing in until I know I can stay focused.

Really Bubble? Me too, I'm right back to where I started, boooo! Tis really great to hear from you though, let's keep in touch and spur each other on!
Erm, that said, I'm going easy on myself today coz I've got a pretty heavy duty head cold at the mo. When I feel like eating, i think I'll want something comforting!
So far today I've had;
Coffee, coffee, mugshot, leftover chicken spaghetti (syn free) and a light Babybel

Could do with some fruit and veg I know, but it all just takes so much preparation! :p
 
Oh moonbeam, its such a nightmare. Ive lost 1 whole lb in a year! What a yoyo that was??
Boo to not feeling well hope you perk up soon. Think we could do with spurring eachother on, i can do with a miracle weightloss regime!
 
I still have this nasty cold.. So I'm not counting anything and being all splurgey and comforty... If those are actual words! On my way to bed... This is the latest I've stayed up in the past week at least! x
 
Love the actifry wouldn't be without it now. Hope your feeling a little better soon. Enjoy your weekend. x

Hello BCP! Thanks for popping in!

Okay folks, this is it, I can't do this to myself anymore. Although I had to squeeze myself into my 'fat trousers' yesterday morning, I was fine food wise all day - but then evening time happened.
I finished laundry, etc. sat down to watch The Apprentice with a glass of wine, and by 10:30 I was in the kitchen, mowing down FOUR slices of toast with marg and various other toppings. Kids lunch snacks then followed. :(

Must get to bed early!

Today's food plan;

Apple, satsuma, ff cottage cheese

Tuna salad and JP

Not sure what I will do for supper, maybe poached egg and tinned spaghetti with some sort of veg on the side.

Have already had a coffee with milk and sugar (2 syns).

Will sort out snacks using my healthy extras later...
 
Okay, checking in again. Have only varied slightly from my plan today. Had apple and cottage cheese for brekkie, black coffee on break, now having a watercress/rocket/ham/pasta salad with ff dressing for lunch. Will have my jacket potato this evening for supper instead.

Still only at 2 syns!
 
Right - I was too hungry when I got home from work so scoffed 1/2 can spaghetti and a poached egg. Off to TKD now!
 
Hello lovely peeps, hope everybody is having a lovely evening!
I'm feeling a bit smug myself as I've managed to fend off biscuits, cheese and crisps today, yay me, lol!
Haven't stuck to my original plan from this morning, but I think it definitely helped to have made the plan anyway. Even though I had my spaghetti and egg snack (gosh, that sounds gross) after work, I was more than a little peckish by about 9 tonight. I went past the open bag of crisps on the counter, and grabbed a leftover potato from the kids supper, warmed it up and had it with ff Greek yoghurt. Was still hungry, so had another little potato with leftover beans.
So, not an ideal or balanced diet today, but I'm definitely within syns, and still have my healthy extra cow cheeses and Ryvitas to munch before bed.

Holy crazy day at work! An soooo ready for the weekend. I tried to post this morning but couldn't, so fingers crossed for this one... Have hardly eaten a thing today. One coffee, and a ham salad at lunch. Will update more later!

Right. Crazy day. Was so busy the day flew by, which is nice sometimes - but today made my head spin!

Breakfast: coffee milk sugar (2 syns)
Lunch: Plated ham salad with boiled egg, peppers and sweetcorn, curried rice salad (guesstimating 1 syn), 1/2 satsuma
1/2 cup of cold, black tea at 3pm! :(
Got home, starving, took out a package of precooked sliced chicken breast for a nibble whilst getting supper ready... ended up eating the whole pack. Boooo to lack of control... syn free tho.
Supper: 2 Linda McC Red Onion & Rosemary Sausages (are these still free? They're lovely and taste like yummy stuffing), plain mash, beans, raw peppers and carrots, and 3 veggie fingers that the kids had leftover (6 syns)
Evening: Sparkle Juice (asda apple & mango), 1 large red wine (8.5 syns)

Just about to crack the cheese and ryvita again, then hit the sack with my cup of Sleepytime Tea!

Over on syns today, but not by much - and could've been SO much worse if I wasn't trying to keep track :)

Right. Dropped the ball again... Have been doing okay, busy tho. Started to slip again on Sunday evening, and then last night ended up on the toast again. So over syns yesterday. Posting my food seems to help so will try harder to keep in touch.
 
You can do it moonbeam! I really can't at the mo but am keeping my eye on you. Its true post post post. It makes you stop and think.
Downward spiral for me at the mo but when i come back it will be with a vengance!

Bubble, there you are! Is everything okay? I've been spiraling as well - posting on here is my attempt at getting myself back on track. Weighing in on Thursday for the first time in yonks - not sure if I've mentioned that or not.

Today's food;

Coffee milk sugar 2 syns
Satsuma
Chicken mugshot
Apple mango sparkle juice
Bite of SW quiche
3 fish fingers and 2 chips - will look up the syns...
Steak and SW chips for supper with another spinach rocket and cress salad.

Flippin'eck, looks like I've spent 8 syns just nibbling while the kids had their tea! Hrmph!
 
Oh bless ya. Im ok mate just have taken on too much on I think! I thought being busy would keep me sane but think its flipping me the other direction at times. Im not a quitter tho so i have had to prioritise what needs doing and at the moment its not diet. Although i know being healthy gives you energy i just cant do both. You wouldnt believe what ive taken on and i now know why no one else wanted the job and why my ex boss resigned! As i say ive worked too hard to walk out but.... me and hubby have set a realistic deadline and if it dont pay off then i won't be working this time year.
Ive got to say people don't normally mess with me as im known to win my battles i just wish i could win the fat battle too. It all takes commitment i guess and i commit to food too easily.
Sorry to moan on your diary, I won't write on mine cos its so negative! Grrrr.... now ive ate a double pack of jaffa cakes to myself! :banghead:
