Syns 'n Stuff - My Daily Food Diary

Morning! The house is already a mess and the kids are sitting in front of the TV, eating, after being told to keep it at the table (grrr)... But at least I'm having a proper breakfast...

Took the kiddos out for lunch and tortured myself by watching them much on a ham and cheese panini, and onion rings. I must admit, I caved at one point and had a small bite of the melted cheese off the wee dudes sandwich (he loved cheese yesterday, but not today!) and about a tablespoon of the coleslaw that came with my salad (lettuce, carrot, tomatoes, onion, cucumber). I only know that 25g of cheese is 5 syns, and I had nowhere near that much, so am counting 2 syns for the cheese and 1 1/2 for the coleslaw.
If I'm wrong with the syn values, please feel free to correct me! I haven't officially rejoined my SW group yet, so don't have access to all the current information! :)

*edit at 4pm, have just eaten a stuffed vine leaf leftover from New year's... 2 syns as per the 20 calorie rule!

Happy new year Hun x

Happy New Year to you too, Ceri! Love your new coat, you're looking fab!!

Good evening everyone!! Hope everyone is keeping well...

Have been feeling SO terribly peckish this evening - ahhhhhh! :gen147: Have tried to keep myself busy but feel like I need to munch!!

Here's today (so far)

B: black coffee, fruit salad, bacon, egg, beans.
water
L: black coffee, mixed salad with 1 tbsp of coleslaw (1 1/2 syns) and a bit of melted cheese because I AM SO WEAK WHEN IT COMES TO CHEESE (2 syns)
S: SW quiche nibbled, and a leftover stuffed vine leaf (2 syns)
D: Spinach salad with sliced ham and SW quiche (while hubby and the kiddos had pizza!) and Choc Hazelnut Options (1 1/2 syns) with fatfree yoghurt/quark combo
S: Mugshot (Minestrone)

I still have my Hex A&Bs to use, so I think I will have ryvita with cow cheese and salsa... here I go....Oooooooooweeeooooo, entering the danger zone - the kitchen after 10pm!!! If I'm not back in ten minutes, send out a search party! ;)

*edit, 20 minutes later: I did it, I'm okay! Snacked, done, back out of the kitchen. And I tell ya, that was SO good. Day 2 and I'm already appreciating food so much more than I was - it's a shame how much I ate just for the sake of eating, knowing I was eating something tasty, but not really appreciating it. Y'know?

Anyhoo, totals:

Exercise - walked all over town running errands (Pushing a grocery-filled pushchair uphill, while also weighed down with a giant napping 2 1/2 year old does count as exercise, don't let anybody tell you any different.)
Water - only about 500-750 mls
HexA & Bs - three dark rye ryvitas, four light cow cheese (Should I have had the fourth ryvita and fifth light cow cheese just to meet the HEx quota?)
Syns - 7

Hey Moonbeam

Happy new year hun! I love the baby exercises! How today been? Hoping to join you officially from Monday. i'm on a countdown to get rid of all the crap in the house. Well actually that's not achievable there is sooooo much chocolate in this house it will see kids through til easter (if I don't help them eat it ofcorse)
xx

Bubbly-one!! Happy New Year hon!
Yep I decided to start from January 1st, as I'm doing the January Dryathlon for Cancer Research, so I pigged out until midnight on New Years Eve, then that was it! So far so good, but early days yet, isn't it? I really need to do this tho. But you enjoy the chocolate while you can, and we will be back on it together from next week!

Weird day today - couldn't get to sleep last night, so slept in - didn't get up til 11 and then rushed around like mad to get us all to a birthday party on time. So didn't really have a lot of time to focus on and prep food, not enough fruit and veg today... but still on track, so that's better than nuttin!

B: uh, slept thru it.
S: erm... yeah.
L: square of SW quiche and black coffee
S: black coffee and NO birthday cake whatsoever. Smelled lovely tho. Slice of smoked ham while prepping supper.
D: Speedy curry with tikka chicken and chickpeas, boiled rice, steamed froz veggies. Meringue nest (3 syns) with chopped fruit, mullerlight strawberry cheesecake yogurt (1 syn) and pomegranate seeds sprinkled on top, this was LUSH, should have taken a pic but was too lazy to go get my phone, soz!
S: Strawberry and vanilla sparkling water, lasagne noodle crisps with BBQ Frylight (some people syn these but I'm not going to, with my former SW consultants blessing)

Totals:
Exercise - chased my kids around giant indoor play park
Water - about 500 ml - boooooo
HexA&B - glass of milk and Benefit bar before bed
Syns - 4

Spoke to one of my SW buddies today at birthday party, who started to explain briefly about the new-fangled Slimming World SP plan that you do for a week - eating only superfree foods and proteins - then we got cut off by hyperactive screaming children that needed our attention. Anyone know what this is, or is anyone trying it?

Ive signed up to sw for new plan details and im planning to give it a go but not in my first week. Theres a thread on here ill see if i can paste it for you.
very interested in ur lasagne noidle crisps and bbq frylight tell me more....

Just walked past loads of chocolate and fended off my killer sweet tooth with a mullerlight banoffee and a banana. Hurrah!

Yay, what an accomplishment, bet your dead chuffed! I hope to be able to do that too. How's your Sunday been? Mines been cleaning and tidying, actually feel quite refreshed doing it all. Deco's are all down too. One more day off work for me, yay. xx

Evening, all!!

Today was okay, thanks Bubble, but I didn't get the decs down as planned! Hubby was out at the football so i was trying just get general cooking and cleaning done while dealing with two clingy kids... not sure what's up with them lately, but they just seem to be needing a little extra love and attention!

Right, I've been seriously wanting one of my special saved Lindt Chocolate Balls today, but I don't know how many syns they are or how many syns I have left for the day, so here goes...

B: black coffee, poached egg, 2 x crackerbreads, spag hoops and satsuma
S: 6 wafer thin ham slices
L: speedy curry and rice
S: 1 crackerbread and light cow cheese
D: small plate of beef stew (with loads of carrot, onion, garlic and b'nut squash) and boiled tates (Will say 2 syns as made this for hubby and the kids so used about 1 tbsp of olive oil and 2 tsp of flour)
S: 3 crackerbreads and 2 x light cow cheese, sparkling strawberry and vanilla

Totals:

Exercise: housework
Water: less than 1 l
Hex A & B: crackerbreads and light cow cheese (still have 2 cheeses to go)
Syns: 2

That's it. I know I haven't had enough fruit and veg today to deserve it, but I've had enough clinginess, tears and backchat to deserve it!! I'm under syns, so I'm going for the chocolate ball.

BRB.

Flipping flip.

4 syns for the Lindt chocolate ball. Was divine. But still up, paying bills, etc... Just went into the kitchen for a chunk of syn free SW quiche and my hand accidently slipped and I had a tablespoon of peanut butter as well. So that's a total of 10 syns for the day. Am going up to bed NOW.

Ten syns is great I think you did very well sweet x x

Thank you, AB! It was a real struggle last night. I think after a day like yesterday with the kids, I've been used to rewarding myself with a glass of wine or two, and the fact that I didn't have any wine at all was probably what helped me bite the bullet and get my butt up to bed instead of staying in the kitchen!
Checked the scales this morning, and not sure how accurate they are, but said down a pound, so hopefully it's right - going in the right direction anyway :)

That's great Hun a very good start to 2015 and great motivation x

Okey dokies... feeling headachey so I won't be on too long - just having a quick boo thru peoples diaries and will then be heading to bed.

B: coffee, egg, bacon, beans, satsuma, grapes and a few apple slices
S: zip
L: chickpea curry and air-fried chips, carrot sticks, f/f yog & quark mixed with choc-coconut options (2 syns) and a black coffee
S: zilch
D: mediterranean mugshot with poached egg and broccoli, lemon cheesecake mullerlight (1 syn) - this didn't kill my sweet craving so I grabbed a meringue nest (3 syns) out of the cupboard and just munched it down. I know. I have no shame.
S: 4 x dark rye ryvita (HexB) and 5 x light cow cheese (HexA) with syn free salsa.

Exercise: housework shopping playing with kids
Water: Um, I had lots of "black" coffee flavoured water!
HexA&Bs: ryvita and cow cheese
Syns: 6

Cool day again well done you. Hope ur head clears could be the alcohol detox

Yes, that's what hubby said too! And I suppose it has been a while since my body has gone more than five days without a glass of vino! But it might also be that I haven't had enough water today. Will try and up my intake tomorrow. G'night Bubbly one, and the rest of MiniMinLand... sweet dreams, all x
