Texty's Back - Plain and Simple

Evening all :D trying to gear myself up to do a big food shop but feeling lazy haha :zz:

Hope things are going ur way Texty - u've done so well to get to target and I'm sure u'll do just as well on ur maintenance journey!

Evening ladies I hope your all fit and well?

Im late tonight - had some bad news last night my uncle passed away, so tonight ive been to see my sis and some of the family as they have asked us to do the catering for the wake.

My food has been hitty missy today due to being busy at work/forgetting my lunch and then not eating until gone 8.30 tonight grrr

you are the fibre queen :king:. I like cereal but on SW it's so highly syned! 35g is not enough lol

You could have weetabix which is filling? or pack it out with lots of fruit or you could have fruit and a yogurt and crumble the weetabix on top for fibre :D

Thanks chick xx

We did the catering when both our parents passed and since then whenever there has been a family member passed or any celebration we have done the lot. Its so much cheaper than getting caterers in and at least we get what we like and always get complimented on how professional it looks xx

How do you make the scan bran cakes? Any pics?
I can't picture them at all!
I don't know whether I'd be brave enough to try them!

Hi hun - ive posted pics of just 1 of the many ive made lol.

5 scan bran placed in a bowl, pour boiled water over to soften (literally for 10 seconds) drain the water off and mash.

Add 2 eggs, the required amount of sweetener -I never measure its about a lid full from my canderel jar, 1 mullerlight yogurt (any flavour) you can also add a little vanilla essence if required. I sometimes also add 2 small boxes of sunmaid raisins .....this makes the cake 9 syns if not using the scanbran as your hex (meaning you need to eat the whole cake in 1 day) or 4 syns for the raisins if using the sb as hex.

whisk all the ingredients together and pour into a plastic tub ( I use the ones from the takeaway that you get chips/kebab meat in) you can buy them 8 for£ in the £ shop.

Place in the microwave for roughly 8.5 - 9 mins and voila a cake!!

For the topping I use 0% Total yogurt add a little sweetener and essence if required and then spread over the top. I use choccy sprinkles sometimes too nom nom

Sorry to hear your sad news Texty :( thinking of you xxx
