Yay drugs! and yay xray, at the very least it can rule things out.

The soup sounds strange. I hate blended soups but I hope its unique taste was a nice one. Haha. Loving how you listed Pepsi max and diet Pepsi separately!
 
I think the doc was basically saying we would be wasting our time doing x rays but would for my peace of mind.

Lol it was ok taste Fran a bit like scotch broth. Lol well the pepsi's are different tastes lol
 
Im thinking of being brave tomorrow and making a feast for 5 lol, I fancy a treat but all SW friendly. Got my eye on the lemon chicken from the taste of Asia book and a couple of the beef dishes. Gonna look through my books tonight
 
You never know the X rays might pick up on something, I had them done years ago and that's when they found out that it's arthritis, not saying that yours is but I'd be happier getting them done for peace of mind. Hope it's not too bad for you today xxx
 
Its quite possible hun as I already have it in my foot and hand. At least it will rule out anything sinister ( which doc reckons there isnt anything) x

Glad you got something from docs and she's sending you for an X-ray. If it still is bad you should push for MRI or something. You can't live on painkillers and be in constant pain x

She wasnt my usual doctor and asked me what painkillers she thought she should give!!!!! whos the fekkin doctor here mrs

I told her I didnt want anything codeine based. So got more Naproxen and the gel to try
 
I went to the docs for something yesterday and didn't come out satisfied, she was really nice but I'll need to go back and see someone else, she just didn't get what I was on about! I was hoping for a referral but stupidly I didn't ask for one. My fault I suppose xx

I find Drs very annoying at times, you know your own body. Just because it doesn't fit the standard diagnosis doesn't mean you're not ill.
 
Some Drs are amazing. some are rotten pieces of work. Mum's really naughty and has been reading the mail our old tenant is still having sent to our house. she moved out 3 months ago and it was from the council so it started with mum worrying it was something to do with the house... it's not, and it is bad, but it really shows what a nasty piece of work she is. The one I saw with Nate on Tuesday must have been knackered and probably had quite a bit of abuse running an hour behind, but she was still so nice and positive and cheery. I'm still pissed off with the "oh that bacteria is found everywhere, don't worry about it" bullplop. and the hospital my mum got taken to after losing 2 pints of blood out of her nose ran no checks, no follow up, just wrote down nosebleed and sent her home! our GPs still worry if she comes in when she hasn't got an appointment.
 
My usual doctor is lovely he has lots of time and patience for you. He actually sits and listens to everything you have to say, not like my old one who used to have your prescription written out before you even sat down in the chair to tell him what was wrong. This is the same doctor who mis diagnosed my mams cancer for tonsillitis. I lost all faith in doctors for a long time
 
Its scary Fran we put our lives in their hands. Were not doctors but we could see the black mass at the back of mams throat and all her lymph glands were swollen . He just kept giving her antibiotics that went on for 6 weeks, then he gave her more cos he said she had adult thrush on top of the tonsillitis, it wasnt until she couldnt even swallow liquids that he sent her to A & E where they whipped her straight in, took her tonsils out and diagnosed lymphatic cancer. She was in remission with that and then secondaries came back 5 years later and she had it everywhere but her breast. Same doc delayed sending her to hospital we just rang an ambulance
