Jack's much better not 100% yet but better. Naomi's just had some mashed up Rusk, she seemed to enjoy it. I've got some special k bites in the blueberry ones they are amazing 3pp per 2, I could eat the whole pack, or even two boxes. Also I've got chocolate cherry go ahead slices 4pp per 2, rice crispy squares 3pp each. I think you'll get another st off before Christmas x

Im into the rice crispy cereal bars 2pp and there only pound a pk in morrisons, I was looking at those go ahead slices there lovely wiv a cuppa! there are loads snacks around for only 2pp its nice to share ideas. I just gave hollie some baby cereal she had a great big bowl full, I need to get a blender so I can try some pureed vegetables. Whats ur opinon on not giving baby solids till a yr just cos I keep hearing people say it! xx

Im glad Jack's getting better :)

A year? My hv told me I can give Naomi solids at 6 months. She said soft fruits, toast, cooked carrot, broccoli etc, Quavers and such. I really don't believe any child could go to a year old without food, Jack was eating cereal, toast, sandwiches, biscuits, fruit, yogurts everything by a year. He had cake on his first birthday. Honestly though my hv was only here two weeks ago she encouraged solids at 6 months, even though she was telling me just milk until 6 months is what they have to advise now so I'm not sue why people would say 12 months :) xx

Off topic but both my kids ate "adult" food from 6 months, my son has never eaten anything puréed or out of a jar, and was eating curry and rice at about 7 months as he just had bits of what we had, as long as not high in salt etc, I truly believe introducing tastes and textures early enough helps discourage fussy eating

Yeah I agree it wasnt hv that said that, its still 6mths in case anyones reading this, Ive heard a few people say they are not giving solids till a year as they dont need food till then, Maisie and Emily were eating loads of food by then and it be really hard weaning a 1 yr old x

I think where that comes from is the rhyme "food is for fun until one" so basically a babies main source of nutrition is supposed to be milk until they turn one, but line have always just had loads of food and milk as well!

I also think the longer you wait the more they are likely to be fussy eaters x

My mum worked full time from I was a few weeks old, and my grandparents looked after me in the day, and basically puréed everything until Zi was nearly 2, as a result thinks like yoghurt a with lumps in and mashed potato made me gag until I was in my 20's!!

Yeah definitely motivating, also I'm pretty sure smarties are only 5pp I'm going to check in a min cos they take ages to eat I suck the shell and melt the chocolate. I don't know why I thought the aero's were 8 but they're only 6 and I love them. Crunchies are 5pp also and take longer to eat loving WW so far x
