Not too sure really, we have no babysitters so once they're in bed we'll see. Just quality time would be nice. Used to have evenings where we dressed up had candles and a nice meal music and a smooch. Those days have long gone but maybe just maybe i can work on it. Hows that song? Morning all. Once again im awake at the crack of dawn.
Been thinking about my 3 horrors!
Ive grounded them from all clubs this week. Its hurt me but need to see it through. I just need a little thanx sometimes and they've really took the p this weekend! Am i wrong? Are they too young to understand? My hubby is a great believer in nipping things in the bud but im a bit of a soft touch when it comes to letting them down.
Its not that they are "naughty" as such because tbh they do us soooo proud when out, in sch etc. Everyone comments how polite, clever, grown up they are. Its their attitude to me at the moment. I wouldn't have dreamt saying half the things they do to my parents!! Im finding it hard because, hubby is old sch, (did i mention he's a lot older than me?) I have this bee in my bonnet of not making my parents mistakes with my kids. Kids lives are hard nowadays and they need a friend in parents not people to be afraid of. So i want to be their friend but i also want a little bit of respect/thanx for what i do for them. Am i wrong?
So the rule this week is being picked up from sch, homework, tea, baths, and bed by 7. Its going to kill me.
Going to then spend evenings with hubby trying to get an 'us' back again, as we both decided yesterday that we feel we are just existing.
Sorry for the rambling on this is weight loss forum not a councelling session! A happy household means making good choices and i just wish i knew if i was. Oh boy not seeing a way out at the moment...

Thanx everyone, been singing happy songs, got myself in a much better frame of mind, having a day off of SW today, just to get binge out my system Ive had kit kat x2 and roast beef hoops and crosses.
I am joining in the salad challange with Kay tomorrow- Pippa I need to check but I believe that one of the main meals in the day have to be a salad, Im sure the girls are adding bits like, pasta, fish etc but its a salad. Im also adding the water challenge to it. I already drink a litre so will up this to 2 litres a day. Im aiming to get this stone award next week.
Going to plan a date night for the end of the week, that way all my totm crap will be gone too. Looking forward now not back the clocks spring forward sunday and so shall I!!!
Oh - as for the kids I won't back down, they know that. It breaks my heart but when I say something I stick to it, so far so good this morning... Time will tell.
Hey Bubbles so happy your in such positive spirits after this morning . So glad to have you on board the Salad Challenge from tomorrow . Just to help you with some ideas, (you can decide what suits you), my daily water intake will be 2L or more but not below, will try and reduce salt where possible, keeping syns low in the week max 10, making sure at least one meal in the day is salad but not as a side with other food, it has to be your main course. Make lots of variety so you don't get bored by day 4 . Some of the salads in my mind are based around the following ingredients (you can add your own choices too) :-
- egg salad
- bean salad
- tofu salad
- tuna salad
- salmon salad
- chicken salad
- lentil salad
Will be bulking these up with lots of leafy veg. For dressing I am using the kraft bottles which are syn free and ff, they have a nice variety, I think I like the French dressing and Italian dressing the most. I'm not going to add bread sticks or croutons, although that's lush, I want to keep carbs to a minimum so plenty of protein and salad, which means red days will work quiet well with the salad challenge.
Again these are just some of my ideas, adapt it to what suits you and you can always change things as you go along in the week. I'm so happy to have you on board, together we're gonna kick some butt !
Let me also introduce you to Von, my friend who has done the soup challenge with me this week and lost an amazing 4 lbs ! She is Ilb away from 100lbs loss . I am giving you the link to her diary, she is a massive inspiration, do pop in and introduce yourself, she will be doing the salad challenge too from tomorrow. This way we can all keep intouch and check on each others progress. Here it is :-
