The really slow loss team!

Evening chicas. Got back late last night after a long weekend away of fun and debauchery! :D
And this is the first real chance I've had to get on here!

Well the scales were VERY kind to me this morning. Yet another STS for me. Flukey again methinks!
I'm maintaining really well - it just seems to be at 3 lbs over target!

Mind you, considering everything I've eaten since last Thursday I am actually very happy with a STS. Not only did we have 3 meals out on Friday, Saturday and Sunday nights - we went out for a 3 course lunch on Monday.

Hey ho - I'll get back there eventually, although technically I am still maintaining !!!!

Welcome to all you newbies. As we are all slow losers, we tend to lose a pound or less a week.
Whilst this is ideal for you and your body to keep it off for ever, it can get frustrating.
Occasionally though something goes wrong and you actually do lose more than a pound in a week.
This is apt to annoy the club members so some rules were devised.

However, there are only 3 rules in the tortoise club and they are easy to remember.

1. Lose more than a pound in a week and you have to head off to the naughty step and join in the party. :D
2. Lose more than a pound in 2 consecutive weeks and not only do you have to go to the naughty step but you are given lines to do as well. :eek:
3. Lose more than a pound in 3 consecutive weeks and . . . well I've never worked out the penalty as noone has done it yet! :cry:

Occasionally you will also have to buy a round of drinks on the naughty step.
This punishment is inflicted for massive weight losses (i.e. more than 2 lbs in a week) or if you are lucky enough to actually get to target.
It cost me a fortune last November as everyone came over to join in even though they weren't supposed to be there! :8855:

Lou - hope the hangover's gone now and well done on a flukey STS by the sound of it!

Well done all you losers especially Shelster with a whopping 3lb loss. Deffo go and party on the naughty step and get your purse out to buy Annya a drink - she's been there on her own since last Friday!

I lost 2.5lb today which is great but I gained 4lb last week....so not quite lost enough to keep up. I'm dead focused though & I've exercised everyday since Friday. Ooh get me :D
As I lost more than 2lb I'll get today's drinks. Cocktails all round? :drool:

Latte - ahh I'm sorry. I hope if you're C is back next week she'll be able to pinpoint what's going on. Nothing worse than giving 100% & not coming out on top, it's not fair. Hope you get to the bottom of it. Hugs x

Thanks pom, defo flukey but very very happy with it. I had a little dance on the scales lol. I WAS on the naughty step with annya as I lost 1.5 last week but I've been suitably kicked off. We have a gainers step, a losers step, we need a flukey step too methink :D x

Well on plan today. I didn't go mad last night but I did have chocolate, I've picked a bad week to be premenstrual with it bein Easter. Our c was saying Easter eggs, the large ones especially, are more than a choc bar of the same weight cos the moulds are coated in oil so the choc doesn't stick- shocking!!!!! Themalteser egg with 4 bunnys in is 92 syns for the egg and bunnies, the bunnies are 8 each and the egg is 60!!! I could easy eat an egg and not think about it. So be careful ladies xx

My boss is in so will update my diary when I can but the stand in said eat more free however she had no tips for me how to as I cant eat unlimited carbs and I don't eat meat so no idea what she meant as she didn't really justify it.

I eat mainly super free my hexs and syns with eggs potatoes rice pasta etc for one meal in the day.

Wow that is a lot!! I never knew chocolate could be so high in syns, it's not like a large egg is even a huge amount of chocolate either.

I'm the same as you Latte. I'm veggie so no meat & I eat just like you. Do you always choose superfree first, before any other food? Do you have at least 1/3 superfree with your meal?

This week I've tried particularly hard & most meals actually had at least 50% superfree. I've roasted things like BNS & swede which are also Superspeed & they really did keep me fuller for longer!! Maybe try throwing in more S & SS foods?

It's so unfair when you give you best & don't lose :(

I always have fruit for breakfast. I mainly snack on fruit. During the week always salad bits with lunch and dinner always has either at least one veg usually more or beans .

She is on at me increasing the food on pages 14 and 15 and having 7 from there which is impossible
 
Latte- my friend is on certain mess that can cause weight gain and since they were increased her weight loss has slowed down. She really does follow it to the letter, she wont eat anything unless it's been written Down and worked out first so c suggested no food diary this week to help her relax and she gained :( are you still eating out a lot latte?? I know previous when we looked at you'd food diary there were hidden suns you'd not realised about and the next week you were really conscious about what you were eating and counted every last thing and lost 2 pound. Is it possible that this is tripping you up again??

Nope Lou I havent eaten out all bar the John Lewis cafe when I had an omlette and shared wedges two or three weeks ago I cant remember when I posted

I haven't got my book on me so not sure what foods are on those pages. Personally, I think she should have suggested more Superfree rather than Free. What about substituting potatoe for sweet potato or bns? I bet little things like that can make a difference. I would have thought that if she tells you to eat more Free (rather than suggesting Superfree) she may be saying you're not eating enough...is that possible?? I've had it told to me before.

I'm working on eating less syns. around 8 a day rather than my full 15. I think it helps sometimes, what about trying that?
