The really slow loss team!

Annya - no they aren't abysinnians. Just gingery tabbies that were strays. Dumped in a bin at a few weeks old and rescued. the Spanish aren't very good at how they treat their animals - especially unwanted ones.

Felicity - you can upload photos in lots of ways.
1. If you want to create your own folder, I think you'll need to be on a POC. Go to your UserCP - and click on the Pictures and Albums link - it's about the 6th down under networking. You can creat an album and then upload pictures to it.
2. If you already have piccies in a photo bucket album online somewhere, you just need to know the url. When you are creating a post, click on the icon that looks like a mountain above the reply box and add the url.
3. If you want to upload them in a post from your PC then look below the reply box and there will be a bit that says Attach Files. Click on the Manage Attachments and you can then upload them from your PC.

Haven't a clue how to do it from a phone!!!

There's a big post in the Tutorials section on Minis but I can't find it at the mo. Have a look here
http://www.minimins.com/#tech-support

I use the Android Minimins app and at the bottom if the post you're creating is an attachment button. Then you can select from gallery or camera.

im sooo jealous of anyone with cats, we had a family cat all my childhood and at 16 i suddenly developed allergies to many things one of them being a severe allergy to cats, if im in the same room as one i cant breathe, my face swells up and its just horrific. im totally gutted, im slightly allergic to dogs but not as bad but i was warned by my allergy specialist that if you have an allergy to something the more you come into contact with it the worse it will get, so i cant really have a dig either, even though i fostered my brother in laws staffy when he split with his partner and she had no where to go, we fostered her for 3 years until he found a suitable place and i fell in love with her, people get staffies all wrong, they are rubbish with other dogs but she was the softest cutest most loving dog i have ever met. she would pine for us if we werent there and always wanted to be sat right next to someone, she gave the best cuddles and never hurt anyone in her life. when we took her for a walk we would try to avoid places with other dogs and would cross the road if we passed anopther dog and kept her on a short lead at all times. i miss her :( i would love another dog, but couldnt cope with a puppy at the minute with having a 2 year old, and a 6 month old to look after lol. but once i get broody again im going to get a dog..even though i shouldnt ha ha. i want a little dog though, like a pug dog haha. my husbands mum always had picanese (sp) way too much hair for my liking!!

We've had both in my childhood. We had a rescue collie cross ***** who was a complete tart. All over the men, never went near women!
Our cat was awesome. Used to stand with her front paws in the sink and drink from the tap.

The fella is allergic to cats so when we get our own place we can't have one. He wants a dog. Specifically, he wants a Beagle so he can call it Jeremy!!

Sorry - it's total madness. Run and hide somewhere Lou and get out some pickeled onions. They always work for me to curb cravings!

Looking forward to the next few weeks!! (this is sad!)

2lbs from 2 stone shiny as well as 3lbs from target.

OH says it feels like having a new woman. (like to see him try to find one!!)

Seriously, I feel so much better than I did 6 months ago. I`ve honestly found posting on minis so much more helpful than group.

You might wonder why I continue to go as I`m still paying, I suppose it`s because I need to have the WI done by someone else. Don`t think I`d entirely trust myself to do it at home and be honest about the results.

Will probably carry on going to group regularly even after I reach target (which should be soon I hope!) just to stay on track. I`ve heard of folks getting to target, dropping out and then putting it back on again. Don`t want to be in the place I was in (both mentally and physically) 6 months ago.

Thanks for taking the time to read this. If I can I`ll fill you in on how bad things were when I get to target.

Right! serious face put away now!!:D:D

Off to have some magic porridge!!:D

i think i am stopping going to classes, if i can find a reliable scale for use (i dont have them at home) i will stop. didnt go last night and didnt cancel, i was very stressed and realised late i had missed class!

pickled onions i love but boy oh boy do they give me heart burn....chronic

Grannieannie well done.

Felicity I have just started having 8 olives (1 syn) mid morning and maybe in the afternoon too.

I know some people hate olives, but I love them and they really fill you up unlike fruit which seems to make me look around for something else to eat.

My weigh in tonight. Will I finally get that half stone award? I do hope so, but if not maybe next week. I will be peed if I don't though.

I think I am adapting to the idea that slow is the way for my body and I feel so much more relaxed about taking the time.

Like Lou, it is posting on this thread which has given me enormous comfort, knowing there are others out there who go through the same frustrations about tortoising.! :)

Felicity it would be good if you can go it alone, especially now you can climb aboard the slow train with us lot.

See that naughty step? I really want to get on it. Despite feeling like I've lost about 3 or 4 lbs this week, I had Wi and clocked in a not surprising for my tortoise pace HALF A POUND!
You're all jealous aren't you? You all wish you were as slow as me!

I totally thought I'd be joining Lou on the step this week and I'm the most disappointed I've been so far. It's so frustrating.

How long do tortoises live for?! Meh.

oh hels :( i totally hate that when youve been sooooo good and you only lose half BUT i was very naughty the week after i had a loss that didnt reflect my effort and only gained half, then this week lost 3. they say weight doesnt catch up on you and that what you lose or gain that day doesnt show days later but with me it does. if im really good one week and it doesnt show its like a bank, its like its sort of saved up for the next week then ill have a better result so next week i bet youll be naughty step queen! my friends mum said she sts for 5 weeks running and almost gave up then the following week lost 7 pound! 7 POUND!!! she said it used to do that regular with her, it was like her body took ages to catch up and shes now a size 8!! from a 16-18. keep going hunni, you can do it.

ive had another good day on plan today, i need to be good as i had 21 syns tuesday and im out on saturday night which will include some sort of takeaway im sure and copious amounts of wine with any luck lol. not bothered if i sts next week as i have nothing planned for a while after this ... so far!!
