This time I will do it!!...

Got to keep a food diary. Take lactulose twice a day 20ml until I'm going to the loo normally at least once a day and then go back a Dr will take it from there.
Dr is hoping that from the food diaries we'll be able to pinpoint foods that make me constipated and can avoid them.

Worth a go. She said that as I have Endo, all Dr's have presumed it's that and haven't explored other avenues so we need to explore them now x
 
This doc sounds like they're on the ball... Hope you start to feel better soon.... Have you any idea at all what might be causing it? Xx
 
She does seem more clued up. At last!

No idea at the moment. I've had a few naughty days as we've just been so busy and the pain I've been having has been getting worse over the past few days.

Think tomorrow I need to go back to basics, keep a food diary and a 'pain' diary and try to pinpoint foods that trigger it off x
 
Oops! Don't go too far from the toilet. And remember if it feels like wind -RUN as it probably won't be!

If it is IBS, stress triggers it, also dairy products.

Mine is triggered by fried onions, mayonnaise, and sometimes chicken depending on how its cooked x

Sheila - the Dr discussed IBS before but then changed their mind when the meds they gave me didn't make a difference.

The new Dr today said they weren't likely to work for me as I'm more often constipated than the other and the tablets they prescribed were to block you up.

I have been very stressed lately. Hoping that keeping a full food and 'pain' diary will really help to pinpoint things.

Don't be too hard on yourself.. It's difficult when you're not feeling 100%...maybe try and get back on track one meal at a time... Don't stress about it though hun.... You need to concentrate on getting yourself better xxxx
 
I need to eat properly to help me pinpoint what it is in my usual diet that is triggering things.

Just cannot seem to stick to plan at the moment. So angry with myself, it's only me shovelling it in, no one is forcing me.

I thought I had it in me to get to target and maintain. Am seriously doubting that today x
 
Stop doubting yourself. You can do it and you will do it. I have been shovelling it in this week. I feel like a squirrel putting away food for the winter! It's all been on plan, but my scales are showing a gain. Off to WI to find out for certain and am dreading it.

You have done amazingly well hun, one small gain is but a little bump in the road. Your an inspiration and will get over that next week.
