Evening hun. The girls are right dont be so hard on yourself.

What is it your shovelling? Is it stuff you buy in ... just incase? or just because you can? or just because you want? If its rubbish do you have to buy it in? if its not there you cant eat it.

Last week you had some really good food days and you were feeling positive, you can do it again and will get to target. Make sure you write every little thing on your diary, it could be the smallest thing triggering it. Look back over the last couple of weeks food on here, see if theres a pattern, maybe the days you had the same foods were the days you didnt feel so good. I never ever suffered constipation with my IBS it was always the other way. No amount of medication helped apart from immodium.

Have you tried Fybogel? thats good for constipation.

Where in particular do you get the pain? Does it come on all of a sudden, do you break into a sweat with the pain?

These are all the things that used to happen to me

No, I appreciate the help.
I've been stuffing anything and everything. I haven't bought anything in but have been sat here and fancied crisps for example and sent OH to the shop for them.
Took SW food into work to eat for lunch today, was intending to be 100%, popped out for lunch and ended up with a caramel shortcake. Don't even recall the decision to buy one, before I knew it I was just eating it. Same as I used to be pre-SW. Need to be strict and try to control myself before all control goes out the window.

I've never tried Fybrogel, am back on the Lactulose at the mo, 20ml twice a day.

Pain is lower left abdomen. Pretty constant at the moment and am extremely bloated, so much so that some of my trousers are uncomfortable to wear.
The pain then peaks to almost a stabbing feeling, making me feel physically sick, dizzy and clammy.

I am honestly open to trying anything at the moment, the pain is awful. Xx
 
Another long shot could be this hun - both my parents had it and although it affects mainly older people it can affect younger

Symptoms of diverticulitis are:

  • Severe, cramping abdominal pain that is usually worse on the left side
  • Nausea
  • Chills or fever
  • Constipation, thin stools, or diarrhoea
  • Pain in the lower left quadrant of the abdomen that increases when the area is touched

Worth a mention hun.

Ok so you had crisps and caramel shortcake, your probably talking about 25 syns ish, its one day it wont ruin your week if you reign it in now. You can do it you just need to get a grip again. Remember how bad you felt when you were overweight, how you got there and I know you dont want to go back.

Get back on it, tomorrow is a new day.
 
That sounds exactly what I have! Going to mention that when I go on Monday.

Would rather have a baby than have this.

I'll defo try to get an appointment tomorrow evening after work. I almost feel guilty for going though, like the Dr is getting sick of me lol x
 
Noooo! Don't feel guilty! Like Sheila said, it's what they're there for! You can't go on like that till Monday! Any chance you could have the day off work today to rest?? Xx

Morning all. Sorry didn't respond last night, tried to have an early night.

No chance of some time off unfortunately.

Poor you! How did you cope today? I put 1.5 last night. Feel fine about it now. Have already planned a week of going back to basics - 1/3 super free on a plate every meal time and try to snack on super free not free foods where I can. Lets see what next week brings.
 
That's not too bad a gain hun, you have that off next week no problem.

Couldn't get an appointment this evening. Was stuck on the phone in work at 2 when i had to call the Drs and by the time I got through to them at 2:17 all the appointments had gone.
Don't know whether I'm getting used to the pain but think it's eased slightly throughout the day.
Will still try to get an appointment tomorrow.

Okay, starting tomorrow I too am doing a back to basics week to try to shift this weight.
I am off out to Cardiff on Saturday night so that will involve lots of alcohol but will reduce my syns to 5 for the rest of the week to try to counteract that.
Hoping that a strict week will kick-start me back to plan.

So, today's food:
HExA = 49g Reduced Fat Cheddar
HExB = Weetabix Oatey Bar

BREAKFAST;
Weetabix Oatey Bar

LUNCH:
Jacket Potato with Baked Beans and Cheese

DINNER:
Batchelors Mac Cheese (1.5 syns) made with water

SNACKS:
Banana
Few Pineapple chunks

TOTAL SYNS = 1.5 syns
 
Good for you. I am picturing a "rainbow plate" whenever I eat anything. I usually mix everything up, like if I have pasta I put the veg in with the pasta, now I am plating it separately just to be certain I am getting it right.
Perhaps pain-wise it is easing or the pain killers are working?
