Day 49: 8/7/11 - double birthday day

OH and brothers birthday, cue the chaos!

Skipped breakfast

Gammon steak
Tomato
Onions
Chips - 7, OH ate some for me

1/2 Roast chicken. I hate about 1/2 of it, it really wasn't very nice
Jacket potato

Birthday cake. 7.5" double cake, I had a 14th. It was made with full sugar, full butter, double cream filling, strawberries and chocolate drizzled on top. I'm gonna calculate the whole cake - hahahaha!

175g Caster = 35
175g Butter = 65
175g SR flour = 28
Cream = 30
Chocolate = 8

Total: 166!!!!!!!!

My slice, which was one of the smaller slices I did, but I'm gonna over estimate - 12 syns.

19 syns, 1.5 syns left for 3 days! Eeeekers

Day 50: 9/7/11

Bran flakes - HE
Milk - HE

Sw wedges
Leeks
Dairylea triangle - 1.5

Strawberries
Blueberries

I did want to make jambalaya, but dunno if I can be bothered. Might make it tomorrow. Not sure what to do for tea though. I was thinking of the jambalaya as it would be minimal syns, then tomorrow night doing toad in the hole, which yeah, has syns, but I know OH likes it. But I haven't defrosted the turkey, or prepped anything for tonight. Guess I better look in the freezer for inspiration!

Toad in the hole - 5 for batter, 1 for 2x sausages
Mashed potato
Baked beans

Not exactly a wonderful tea, but it could have been worse. Not having a very good time of it at the moment emotionally.

I've just had a look over - that was a pretty impressive rant!

Sadly, I don't deserve a treat as I was naughty yesterday, but I don't mind - not cooking is enough of a treat :D

That's my problem at the moment too - I don't have the energy or the inclination to peel, chop or do anything!
Impressive but deserved rant I do feel!!

I am secretly impressed with my rant too :D

Aye, opening a fray bentos pie is far easier than cooking a hot pot. I'm just glad of easy things like WW sausages, as I REALLY wouldn't be bothered making my own sausages!

I really want to get a chest freezer so I can start cooking in batches to make things easier. As it stands my fridge freezer freezer bit is totally frozen up and needs desperately defrosting. My solution? Buy a new chest freezer!! x

Ahhh, defrosting a freezer. One of lifes more boring tasks, and wet!

We have two freezers

One shelf is dedicated to OHs icecream lolly type thingies, another has ready meals which we will NEVER eat, and one is full of frozen veg. There is no way on this earth I could go back to one freezer on SW - where would I put my 9p Morrison bargains!?!?

The 9p bargains are a rarity, but when they crop up, BOY do I abuse them! 8 boxes of 9p blueberries anyone? :D

Just back from taking Hugo to his last doggy school lesson. Bless him, he really is very obedient (when it suits him), he is just scared and lashes out. We've decided not to take him again as, although I'm sure the guy knows what he is on about, it isn't the right place really. He is already obedient, so taking him to obedience lessons is kinda pointless. Yes, it got him around other dogs, but in a church hall, not allowed off the lead. Not exactly an every day situation, is it?

I think him and his behaviour is something we are just going to have to live with. When he has his ball, he is totally focused on the ball, and is fine. If we take him out without the ball, he isn't allowed off the lead. Simples. Yes he barks at the postman. So what? When people come round he makes a fuss, but he is no danger to them (unless they are burglars!).

Him and dude were on the sofa together earlier. Granted, I was on the sofa too, but is was progress. Hugo means no harm to Dude, he just wants to chase him and play! Alas, Dude doesn't want to play, so bats him on the nose!

Much better mood today. But hungry, so making SW chips in a mo with leeks, then cake baking, dog walking, picking him indoors up, then having a nice relaxing evening in.

Well, I did good, but I also did bad!

Thursday evening takeaway was fish and chips :( not my choice, but I did have a very small portion
Friday lunch was gammon - good choice. The chips with it - bad choice
Friday tea was roast chicken and a jacket potato - good choice. The cake that followed? - bad choice.

I lay in bed this morning worrying about it. How silly is that? I got up, and gave myself a good talking to about being silly. Back on the plan today, Sunday and Monday, and you never know, I might manage to eeeek a STS.

I know what OH has got me for my birthday, and I'm a bit bummed out. The main bit that has bummed me is he has got me some kinda fitness thing for the Xbox. I really should have told him that I don't *do* gadgets or electronics or anything like that. DVDs, games, ipods and the like just do not impress me, or make me excited or interested. Bless him, he got it as he spotted my 30 day shred DVD, and has heard my friends asking me to go to the gym, and my mother to get me to go swimming. But I'm still a bit bummed out, and a bit kinda upset really. Which is silly. Its all part of getting old I guess, but to get fitness games, a spare tyre (from dad) and a velux blind (from mum) for your birthday isn't exactly exciting! But I'm trying not to seem too disappointed as I know he is really worried he got me the wrong thing.
I always get upset on my birthday. I think its because I'm getting old, and I miss the surprises. Will be away this year, stopping in Glasgow Travelodge the night before, and then driving up to John O'Groats on my birthday, which isn't ideal, but it was my choice to not be at home for it. Maybe it's because I put a lot of effort into other peoples birthdays, and feel I should get it back, but then that isn't why I do it. I like to make people feel special on their birthdays, whether they be 26 or 76. So I always make a cake, get banners, get them silly presents and the like.
I'm sure it will be nowhere near as much of a bummer as I think it will be, but fitness games?!?! Oh well eh!

Had a re-think.

The fitness games are a sign of the support he is giving me. What if he had bought me a big box of chocolates? I can use them, and get to where I want to be. And I can make him do them too, and provide myself with hours worth of entertainment watching him.

Ciao!

Is it a kinect he's got you? They look fab! You'll have a fab time playing on it.
Good you're going away - will give you a break from all your family woes!!
When's your actual birthday?

Ps - well done for sticking to the chicken and jacket potato!!

I know, I was impressed sticking to it, but man, it was not nice. The jacket potato was kinda raw on the bottom, the chicken was dry as anything. Everyone else enjoyed theirs, so I kept schtum as it can put a downer on things if someone doesn't like theirs. But the cake was yum. I was considering having another slice today, even though I don't have the syns, but OH took the rest to work! I was a bit miffed, but also rather glad, no temptation! And it was his and my brothers cake after all, only right they eat the most!

Aye, the time away will be great. Dad is still grating on me, so some time without them will be smashing! He is already nagging me about the air filter and the spark plugs.

The impending day is the 18th July. And I don't think it's a kinetic, as he pointed out some games and said he was gonna get them, but didn't as it wasn't a kinetic. So lord knows! Whatever it is, I will give it a good shot, and put better ideas in his head for Christmas :D

I always get upset on my birthday. I always feel super sorry for myself. Every year I say I'm not having another birthday but inevitably....

Maybe you just need to go out and have a bit of a spend on yourself and get some nice girly things and treat yourself to what you want. Best way. xx

I know, how silly is it, to get upset!

I think I'm gonna be super stubborn on the day, and insist I do what I like :D I'm hopeless at spending money on myself, I get a proper guilt trip, and end up buying things for other people :)
