Tipperary will rock 2025

Morning Tipp

Well done on the weight loss...good to see the scales moving down again so soon after Christmas.

Congratulations on the baby news:)

Sounds like you're off to a good start, goals sound sensible and achievable :)

I usually end up with a couple of diaries so I didn't buy myself one this year. Guess what didn't get one.

Will be interesting to see how you sleep without the night time chocolate.:)

Well I started off well yesterday and then shamefully lost the plot at in the afternoon.
Here is a copy of my food diary from my diary post
Friday 29th

8:30 am porridge with cacoa, flaxseed and grated pear

11am stir fry konjac noodles and veg with cashew nuts

2:30pm 2 potato farls with curried borlotti beans and a fried egg

And then from 5pm to 10 pm
4 glasses red wine
1 pack crisps
2 galaxy chocolate bars
2 slices toast with butter
4 crackers with butter and cheddar
About 6 pringles

Herbal tea 5 cups
Water 1lt

So you can see it went bad

Anyway, had a good morning and took Oscar and dog Zara out to the playground for a short walk. It was the first proper walking I have done in over a week and while my back held out for the walk i had to lie down when I got back.
I woke up during the night flat on my back which is a good thing as before this I couldn't turn over. I have porridge cooking now and after breakfast I'm going to go for a short walk ony own, no buggy to push or pulling dog and see how it feels.

I cleared out the fridge of all the xmas leftovers, the cats and hens had a good meal. I made a turkey curry and we have a few slices of ham left. We still have about 5 mince pies, cheeses, crisps and some chocolate left. I packed up many of the goodies and gave them to daughter one. I would say by Jan 2nd all treats will be gone and normal service resumed here.
I have all of next week to sort out the house, tidy through the freezers and get myself into a proper meal and exercise routine as on Jan 15th our first 2 Wwoofers arrive to live with us and I want to be sorted by then.
Hoping to go to town today and get some bargain Xmas decorations. Darling husband is French and some of his family were affected by the too many terrorism attacks in France....so I had bought an Eiffel tower charm and a peace dove charm for my bracelet as a symbol. Anyway as you know bthe bracelet has disappeared. So this year our local supermarket had these amazing Eiffel tower decorationsn and I bought one, wrapped it and gave it to him on Xmas eve...he was very touched by it and and now my daughters want some too. So off to search for some. It won't replace my bracelet but will replace some of the symbolism.

Morning Tipp

Well done on the loss - don't worry about the wobble yesterday, you've nearly got the fridge sorted and then all will be fine. Out of sight, out of mind! :)

Good luck on the charms for the girls.

Went for a walk earlier, 3km so a short walk for me at 5.2kph (I'm normally 5.6). It was uncomfortable particularly going uphill but glad I got out. I felt like my body was crooked.
Settling down now to watch Von Ryans Express

Hey tipp, don't worry about a few extras yesterday - as you said all the Christmas food will be gone soon and it will be easier to manage. The Christmas decorations sound lovely and with a special meaning, I hope you got what you wanted. Walking sounds really good, sorry to hear your back is so sore you are doing well to get out and about.

Morning all just having breakfast (porridge with pear blueberries and cacoa powder) and then need to sort out the day.
Weighed in and am slightly up from Friday but still down from Thursday....I won't worry about loses or gains until the end of next week, for the moment just trying to get back into a routine including weigh ins

Oops, clicked post instead of the remote control, I wasn't finished writing.

So, plan on having takeaway and bubbles tonight and family lunch with cake and wine tomorrow and then all ready for a new clean me. Though we did plan on a few days away together but doesn't look like that will happen.

Sounds lovely, enjoy!

So.....maybe we are going away after all.
Things can change so quickly in our house its mad.

My thread title is I want to he fabulous at 50....well I won't be fabulous but I also won't be as fat as I was when I turned 49. I know I said my birthday was in January but don't think I said when...well its tomorrow... New Years Day. That's why I have been so unsure what we have been doing. In April I told Darling husband I wanted to go away, in September we planned on all going back to France for new year. By October he was looking at a sun holiday.....and he eventually organised effing nothing. Men. (Well mine anyway). So tonight is a takeaway and some wine (but I'm making me a cocktail) and tomorrow he is cooking a roast chicken and seeing if daughter one will come for lunch. (Not exactly party central)

Eventually yesterday I cracked and told him that he had spent 8 months planning a holiday and had done nothing. They hadn't even a present sorted and went out yesterday to buy something. So he stayed up all night obviously on the internet. When he got up about an hour ago I was filling in our new calendar, interview dates I have and dates our volunteers are staying. Now he has a habit of getting up at 2am and saying goodbye to me and heading off to UK or France to go to car auctions with a friend claiming he "forgot to tell me". So I showed him the calendar and said he can't forget now as he just has to write it in the calendar. So he marked off 5 days next week saying he would be away and I can come too. But he won't tell me where. You might have gathered that I'm a control freak and need to be well told in advance of what I'm doing so now I'm going mad. If its a hotel in Ireland I'm happy, as its only 5 days there is no way I'm going on a ferry or flying to the sun...too sick or not enough time to adapt. Other option is a city break...not sure how I feel about that. Will find out tomorrow. Fingers crossed its something nice but also easy (I get extremely travel sick and need time to prepare for travel).

Anyway, he's gone shopping and I'm off for another short walk then back for s shower and find something pretty (or comfortable) to wear.

See you next year (when I'm old).

Happy birthday! What a fabulous day to have your birthday - always the beginning of something new :).

And how exciting about the holiday - albeit unknown and after prodding the OH!

Have a lovely day Tipp xxx
