Tipperary will rock 2025

Wow Tippy...happy birthday and sorry I was AWOL and missed the actual day..wowza how lovely to celebrate it in Paris, fantastic!
Oh and I nearly had tears as I imaged up Oscar giving you your wonderful news..such brilliant news, had a big smile at you ordering a pink one with blonde hair:) will be watching this space carefully for baby news updates..especially names (which fascinate me..geek)
So happy for you X

Thanks Tibbs. Went shopping today and got teeny baby clothes. Also got Oscar a book based on Monet's garden in Giverny....it has illustrations of the paintings and in each one you have to find the hidden frog. I need to get him a little toy frog to go with it, he loves animals.

Another day walking and went to the Musee d'Orangerie today to see Monet's water-lilies...they really are HUGE. Darling husband has really surprised himself by liking art and seeing the development of it. He has now decided he likes Monet and Pissarro...who he describes as "the dotty fella". Then went to Fauchon and had amazing cake, and to Galerie Lafayette where he bought a great coat at 40% discount and to the food hall where I got avocado oil and pistachio oil for salads.

Oh, yesterday I bought a book perfect for me. Recipes from Monet's home in Giverny, stories about the artist, paintings and related recipes. It was €40 but I am much happier with that as a memento of the trip than with new clothes or anything else really.

Feet very sore now, we were to go to Versailles and/or the flea market but both involve train trips and lots of walking so not sure now. I think I'd love to find a cafe and have a long boozey lunch outdoors just people watching.

Had a giant breakfast today, no lunch, cake at 3pm and off now for dinner...main course only and something simple and some red wine. While here I am having two meals a day and a fair bit of walking
Talk tomorrow.

Oh wow you just described my perfect day! And reminded me it has been ages since I've been to Paris, that might have to be a 2/3 stone milestone treat for myself. I just loved Giverny, and Galerie Lafayette is one of my favourite department stores ever, I could buy the entire furniture floor (if I won the lottery) :).

Well make sure you get a loyalty card as many of the sale prices applied to card holders only.
Wrecked again, planned on a gentle walk through the Tuileries garden and on to Notre Dame if we were up to it. But found lots of vintage cars at the Place de Concorde so he had to stop. We spent a good hour looking at them and chatting sondarling husband happy. Eventually went to the left bank for late lunch and then to the cathedral and walked back through the shopping streets...a surprising total of 8.5km.
Leaving tomorrow evening.

Ahh Tipp Paris sounds fantastic! Glad you have enjoyed it :)

Just packing now and am physically tired, digestive system stuffed, liver about to complain and skin very dry from air conditioning and cold air. Stopped at a pharmacy to get detox shots and got 3 boxes for the price of 2 so even darling husband said he'd give it a go. Detox starting tomorrow. Might have a final late night glass of wine tonight....not home until.about 11pm

Last meal with butter and cheese in the airport now.

Tippy, your birthday trip sounds like a perfect break, glad you've had a wonderful time X

OMG...dropping head in shame
I am up to 76.3 or a frightening BMI of 33.46
My target for this Friday was 73kg which had me on track tonreach 68kg by Easter. I'm not going to change my Easter goal and will see if I can put in a massive 3 weeks to get back on track.
No more cake...which I don't normally have anyway.
No more butter or cheese.
Lots of veg soups and smoothies.
Exercise every day.

OK....starting now.

It may take you a week or two extra Tipp, but come on! It was worth it wasn't it?

You know what, life is for living - you had a great break in Paris with your husband and ate some delicious food. Yes your weight has gone up a bit but as unconcerned said - wasn't it worth it? That first WI after a break the scales are always way high due to water retention, you will probably have some of that off even by tomorrow or certainly over the next few days.

You sounds focused, your plan is good. You know what you need to do - just do it!

Just been shopping and bought only fruit and veg, 1 sliced pan for son, salmon for husband and a bag of oven chips. Everything else was fresh fruit and veg.
Completely exhausted now and having homemade soup, it tastes so good after restaurant food which is nice only in short doses.
I going sort of vegan again, mostly vegan but will eat eggs (our own) and may have chicken once a week if we eat out or with someone else. Cheese and butter need to knocked on the head
Took an artichoke shot this morning and some milk thistle so that should kick start a detox. I must remember my other supplements.
I also bought a nice selection of green teas away so can sip all day long (I drink cold tea anyway)

I finally have a laptop fixed. It is a case of the cobblers shoes going barefoot, darling husband is an IT technician and I have been waiting since Easter for it to be fixed. Son sorted it out while we were away. Nice to have it back. I was using my phone but this didn't show tickers and goals and also was very prone to fat finger typos.
Up for a meeting this morning and wrecked now, no motivation to do anything. I did make soup but haven't even put the shopping away. Soup and salad for dinner again and Ill get up in the morning and tackle the kitchen and dining room. Same problem as before Christmas but in reverse, 12 foot Christmas tree to dismantle and very short women.
Food doing well today but much too tired to exercise.

Yaye to son fixing the laptop! And good luck with the tree, all fingers crossed it comes down smoothly (and not on anyone's head!).

I agree with the others re weight loss and holidays - it's the pendulum principle - take some off, put a bit on while you're enjoying yourself and then back to it - and the overall trend is down, don't forget! xx

Thanks, just had the soup for dinner and feeling stuffed. Much to much bread yesterday and I feel like my abdomen is stretched to its limit. Very tired too so settled down to TV for the evening

You're up there in the list of being the most motivated..and I remember too why you're doing it, you said in a post a while back. Lovely trip away, couple of extra lbs
part of the joy of being away and relaxing, plus on top of it it's just been Christmas. You've now drawn the line and are back to healthy eating and I have no doubt you'll reach your Easter target.
BTW, when is your new grand baby due? X

Not until August...she told us early as we usually have a cocktail making session on Christmas eve. Funny thing is 23rd DEC I went to collect her and she was standing outside waiting on me and I said out loud to myself that she looked pregnant...I deliberately didn't say it to her as she is heavy anyway and at times touchy about it.
(She really can't see how big she is).
Anyway, no exercise yesterday but very good food wise, 3 meals homemade meals all vegan and lunch was the biggest. A liver cleansing smoothie and no snacking at all. (Full menus in my food diary Tipperary is Shrinking).https://www.minimins.com/threads/tipperary-is-shrinking.357508/
Plan for today I'd weighin, breakfast, and a walk before tackling the kitchen and then Xmas tree.
Its either stir fry veg with konjac noodles for lunch or quorn bolognese with buckwheat pancakes

Scales was good, 0.6kg down since yesterday and i must say a lot of wind released, abdomen doesn't seem so stretched now.
