Tipperary will rock 2025

Thanks all, well all the buses came in at once...came home to find an email.for a third interview.
Hair appointment tomorrow to get roots done and blow dry. Will have to try to figure out how to put it up on Thursday. Got eyebrows shaped and tinted. Didn't bother with nails as they are too short, I will just make sure they are clean.
Medium suit fits but it is out of date and trousers very wide so I am going to try to take them in, tailor the legs a bit. Will get sewing machine out in morning and see. I have navy shoes and bought a navy bag with some vouchers. The company also wear a very particular shade of red lipstick so I bought one knowing red never suits my lips. I was rigjt , it makes my lips very thin and my teeth yellow. I am better with plummy shades.
OK, lots to do tomorrow. At least one lot of hair colour will do all three interviews.

WOOHOOOO such brilliant news about the interviews Tipp, and sounds like you've got prep well in hand!

So excited for you love, am going to visualise you getting offered all of them! xxx

Thanks, just on laptop now and have confirmed my attendance at all three. First one is as a checkin agent for an airline. I don't know how realistic it is for me to get it but worth a try. It is minimum wage but then has prospects and wage increments...and I love airports and people.
Second is as an interviewer for a longitudinal economic survey, only part time but well paid.
And third is clerical officer for health board, not brilliant pay but again increments and promotion available and more important permanent and pensionable. Who thought I would be so grown up that I could be planning for retirement.
Off to see what I can do to make my trousers look good.

Wow Tippy, so much happening since I was last on here! All that waiting for an interview offer and along comes 3 in a row, they all sound good and all so very different..good luck 💜

Thanks trying to get ready know.
How much make up.dies to take tiake it look like you are indeed wearing make up but look natural. I'm leaving foundation settle before I start on eyes and lips.
Still look old and fat

Sorry about bad typos, phone screen cracked and not all letters working

Thanks all, back now and wrecked. Have Thai takeaway and wine...yep I know.
Interview was very casual but so glad I made a huge effort with hair makeup nails and clothes. First person i met was young, very glam and wearing the regulation red lipstick. I was asked to fill in some "paperwork" which turned out to be a literacy and numeracy test. Interview then by two.women. They are interviewing 40 people for 12 jobs. They don't have gender quotas to fill but would like more men. Its only 20 hours a week for a 6 month contract at minimum wage...but I think I would love it.
I did feel uncomfortable iny skin and would very much like to be much slimmer to do the job.

Will see

And thanks all for the support, I really think having a job and a purpose will help me. I can feel a bit lost at times right now.

Any idea when you find out about the job Tippy? I bet it's good working in an airport, though I wouldn't be able to keep up the glam groomed look..I start to wilt as the day goes on and my hair is the first thing to un-glam😸
Hugs to you Tip ((X)) and hope you have offers on all the jobs so you can choose the one you really fancy. Private message if you need to offload at any time X

Thanks Tibbs....well a huge amount of hairspray I have discovered can do wonders for mad hair. And three layers of makeup is how much you need to look natural. I am certainly not a glamourous person and that would be the hardest part. I should know by Tuesday but really not banking on this one.

Awake at silly o clock again but not getting up and hoping an hour online with help.me fall back asleep.

Good morning all again. Up now and have decided today is positive Friday. Porridge is cooking and am going to spent an hour watching Matt Brown and then will get dressed and tackle the kitchen. I'm going to make some soup and plan meals for the week. I have some leftover Thai curry from last night and then plan is healthy all the way.

So I've made a pot of Thai green soup. Lots of veg including a full bag of spinach. I've also added a pack of quorn chicken to it, I'm not keen on it so using it up in soup seems to be the best way. I have some pitta dough rising and that and soup will sort out a few meals.
I've just had some soup now, I had porridge at 7 am and as much as I like it I just can't eat enough to fill me.
Sun is out and waiting on washing machine to finish so I can hang out clothes and then go for a walk.

I'm always ravenous a couple of hours after eating porridge too, so i stick to protein brekkies :). The soup sounds lovely - and you've reminded me, I need to pop out and get spinach.

Well done on the wine post interview, completely deserved!

So guess what. ..

I got offered the job in the airport....me a check in person, can you believe it.
Training starts in two weeks so really need to try so hard to get rid of my belly and get a bit fitter.
I'm a bit gobsmacked.
I know it was a long time ago and things have changed a lot but 30 years ago darling husband went for an interview as cabin and ground crew for an airline. You needed a second language or medical training. It was an open call interview and he was there the full day. He was told to bring a photo and he got a black and white one in a booth on the way. I am not exaggerating, some of the people that turned up had brought professional portfolio photos with them and a group of girls (working as models) brought their own make up artist and hairdresser.

I now have to seriously think about it, it is only 4 hours a day on minimum wage and a 1 hour commute each way, that's a lot of diesel. And it is only 6 months, If it was full time or permanent then I would definitely take it as chances then for promotion. Hmmm
(Lately I am having problems making decisions)

FABULOUS!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :bestwishes:

I just shook triumphant fists in the air :D. This is just the start, lovely, and I wouldn't worry too much about starving yourself for the next two weeks - they gave you the job based on how you looked today - which was amazing, I bet! :). Maybe you could do this and another part time role?

Yeehah!!!!!

Thanks Susie and Mary. It is 6 months for the summer travel.season, end March to end September. They deliberately won't do extend the contract as then they have to give you a pay rise, but you will hear first about permanent hobs offers and obviously in the running to get them.
Spent all day yesterday emailing previous employers as I need a very detailed background check. Trouble is I have long summers of not working but not claiming welfare and have to get a character reference for that.
