I showed my family the photo, none of them recognised it as me. They said I looked like a very cross head mistress. Told them.about the job and my two sisters almost fell.off their chairs laughing. Especially my youngest sister ( has studied beauty and hairdressing, is teeny and looks very young but always with perfect hair and make up) who asked am I.sure it was me they gave the job to....have they actually seen me, honestly who needs mirrors when they have sisters.
Had a long day yesterday. Took daughter and Oscar to Dublin to see my aunt dad and mam. Oscar got confused cos he thought he was seeing his Nana not his mammy's Nana. Sister two arrived with her toddler, 5 months older than Oscar... Yes my parents have a grand child and a great grand child the same age. Then sister one arrived and later daughter 2 arrived. Left after 7pm and Oscar cried for 2 1/2 hours of the 3 hour journey home. Food not the worst but could have been better. Dad gave us bread rolls with butter, ham, cheese, coleslaw and tomato and I had a nakd bar while everyone had apple pastries. I had nothing until I got home at 10pm and I had chicken sushi, 2 digestive biscuits, pack hunky dory crisps and 3 glasses wine....I'm surprised I didn't have a vineyard of wine after being with my Mam for the day. She can be so frustrating. She hasn't been well at all and has a carer for an hour each morning but she won't actually let the carer do anything. She has been offered a week of respite in a home and won't take it saying she is fine. She can't grasp the fact its to give my dad a break from looking after her. He is going away for a week ( a regular yearly golf trip with his friends, doing it 40 years now) and it means my sister will have to look after her...mam just can't see this and thinks she is fine. Two weeks ago she was in hospital and she was disorientated and incoherent..turns out she was dehydrated and dad seriously got an earful for "allowing" it.
Anyway, lots of paperwork to send in today for job and then out for dinner tonight.
Happy Friday everyone.
