Hey! We ended up going out for food but I was still full from lunch. Had few chunks of chicken tikka, pakora and very little curry and rice. Was a waste of a buffet pass to be honest lol. Been back to behaving today. Been out enjoying the sunshine with little one, running around a lot. Then went to subway and I had a yummy salad. Think dinner will just be something light again cos quite full. Your sausages look delish! And those apples, yum. Do you feel the exercise helps your weight loss? I used to do Charlotte crosbys dvd (brutal lol) but gave up. Might restart it see if it helps boost the losses.

Enjoy rest of your Sunday.

Well the curry sounds lovely and not too synful either :) Indian food is so difficult (I think) to do SW friendly, not when you're at home but when you go out to eat!
Aww today sounds lush! Glad you enjoyed the salad at Subway too! The sausages were very nice indeed as were the apples yum yum :)

To be honest I don't do much exercise, I had quite a bad accident about two years ago which resulted in six months of crutches and internal bone bruising after I fell in the middle of a main road after stepping wrongly in a pothole and falling knees and face first into the Tarmac! I had done 15 night shifts in a row due to difficulties with staffing at work and had rushed back to Harrogate from Scarbrough (where I was living) to see my OH and parents and I was exhausted, not looking and went flying.
I've been at the gym since the start of March this year as I only completed my physio at Christmas last year! I do 20 minutes on the treadmill on the 'Rolling Hill' setting so I get some kind of incline, and I do 10 minutes on the bike on the lowest level possible. Can't manage anymore as it just hurts unfortunately :/ I walk as much as I can though. I spoke to one of the trainers (I go to Pure Gym) and she has suggested starting on the Spinning bikes and working my way up, so I think I may give it a go, very slowly though or I am in total agony!
I spend the rest of the time stretching (about 30/40 minutes) as I'm fairly pliable in every part of my body except my knees... I must admit that yesterday I managed to do 1 minute on an incline of 10 on the treadmill and it felt good!!!!
I used to do the DVDs/boxercise/Zumba etc so would hopefully love to get back into those eventually!

I also feel so much better in myself and relaxed when I have been to the gym :) was the DVD really brutal? someone I know is just about to start her DVD! A few years back I did the 30 day shred and loved it :)

Your accident sounds terrible. Glad your on the mend. I wouldn't stress regarding the exercise as walking is great to stay fit.

How are you with the toning type exercises like weights and resistance training? Or does that make it worse?

Not the same level of injury at all, but I broke my foot 5 years ago and I couldn't run for a year. The foot injury seems to trigger something with my back. It became frustrating. Especially when people suggest things and don't get it.

Been a fair weekend! Worked yesterday but had a nice day pottering today. It's been good weather here so been out in the garden!
Dinner looks good & nice to see you've got your syns in today. When is weigh in? X

It has been a lovely day today, I sat in the garden with my OH also and managed to mow the lawn so can't complain!
Thank you it was very filling and scrummy- I try and eat over 10 Syns if I can or I'm starving  weigh in is tomorrow... At 5:30... *worrying music* when do you weigh in??

Thank you for the kind words, I was in a right mess afterwards, although through that I never actually returned to Scarborough, so all things happen for a reason and I moved in with my OH not long after I came off my crutches! :D I do a few bits here and there and to be honest, without sounding totally horrendous (I hope I don't) my OH can be quite intense sometimes due to his medication and brain injury so I often see the gym as a bit of respite and relaxation! Take it easy and chill... Although I'm sure that's not how it's supposed to be ;)

Oh goodness that sounds awful regarding your foot! I agree with the whole thing regarding people not understanding. I used the local hospital gym for a while and my body used to shake when I used the weights as I was totally weak, but still I was pushed (to my limit) and it got a bit much. I can do a small amount of weights and resistance but I only use like 4kg weights which aren't much or I just wobble. I often feel like the small one when I go down to the weights and mats next to all of the muscly people with the 20+!

Considering getting a couple of PT sessions as a treat when I go below 12.13 as there is one that I have found in Harrogate that is specifically trained for accident rehabilitation, then at least I know he won't push me too far!

How are you? Have you had a good week?

Well I was going travelling to Canada, broke my foot, cancelled the trip. Got back with my boyfriend. Now we are married with a 21monthh old. So the broken foot wasn't a bad thing. I still went to Canada too, but only for a month and he joined me.

Yea I see the gym as respite from my daughter haha! Gives me a good reason to leave her with her daddy and go to gym. It's pure gym in the middle of town, so sometimes I just go for 45mins and then get a coffee and relax and pretend I've been there 90mins. Don't get me wrong I love her lots but we all need some time to ourself and I don't want to spend it all in a gym. Up until 2 months ago we were caring for my father in law and it was intense. He's in a care home now, so I have all this extra time.

I've had a good weekend. Really tired. Nice sunshine today. You?

Hope your weigh in was ok? I'm Melissa I've been doing SW for around 6 years I started in 2010 at 15 stone 9 and got to 9 stone 1 I've recently moved house and job and have put on over a stone I'm 10 stone 10, so want to get back to 9 stone 5. Have been back on it for around 3 days. I was lucky enough to be in the Aug/sept 2012 magazine and that has given me inspiration

Hope you are feeling better?

Morning! Happy weigh in day ;)

Your accident sounds awful. I was a nightmare doing my 4 nights but 15??! Surely thats not legal? Defo not healthy or safe (as proven). You've obviously done great at rehab and worked really hard so the fact you still do more exercise than me is making me want to buck up my ideas! Like you said though, every cloud has its silver lining and it helped speed things up with you and OH moving it :) me and my OH moved in together after like 2 months cos I fell out with my flatmate and rather than move back home I stayed at his most nights and before he knew it I was a perm fixture:p sneaky me! That was over 7 years ago though so he obviously didn't mind (mostly because I do everything house related and treat him same as our daughter lol!)

Mine was a resounding STS. But I can take that. Its better than a gain and all things considered its a fair outcome. Can't eat big cakes and a take away and expect a loss. Esp with my surprise visit from another period. Normally that makes me gain so not too bad at all.

Good luck!

ps thats rice looks delish!

I had a maintain today, but I believe my totm (that only finished yesterday) may have caught up with me! Must keep plodding on! First day at new job today too so have been all over the place!
Determined to have a loss for next week though and totally overwhelmed by how far I have already come.
Considering doing measurements a week early (if I dare!) although was saving them for two weeks time...
Managed to get into a beautiful knee length debenhams dress this morning that I couldn't do the zip up on 1 month ago!!
Pictures to follow later :D

Couple of things.
Got this from my new job (could have cried, given the last company that I worked for!) it's signed by my team too!
My mum put the third picture together. The first pic was taken on the 2nd April, the second on the 30th April, the 3rd on 13th may and the final pictures are from this morning (wearing the debenhams dress I talked about above)

I'm shrinking *said in the style of "I'm melting" from the Wizard of Oz*

Aww I love the story of Canada and the little one, it's great :) these things happen for a reason!

Yes I believe that lots of people do see the gym as a bit of respite :) as long as we feel relaxed and we get some time to ourselves that's what's important!

Totally exhausted tonight so having a good old veg out! Hope you're having a lovely evening :)

Hello there :) and welcome!!
I maintained, which is my first one but I will get that sorted for next week and my medication can mess me around a bit so I'm alright with that, thank you for asking :)
Wow, you're an inspiration! I'm sure that you will get back to what you want to be, a new job and home causes major upheaval, but being settled will sort you out I'm sure :)

I am feeling better thank you although totally pooped after a long day in unfamiliar surroundings :) hope you've had a good one!!

When's your weigh in?
