Hello!
Garden & you are looking great! For some reason my minis isn't telling me when threads have been updated o_O will have a look into my settings!
Gorgeous weather these last few days- hope you have been enjoying the sunshine :)
Your frozen fruit looked very refreshing- was it really tart? X

Hello! Aww thanks very much that's very nice of you to say! *blushes*
Yes I have the same problem unfortunately I have to trawl through my old threads to find stuff!
Yes it's been lovely but I admit to having a watch mark... (And being lobstered all around it) image.jpeg
I adore tart and bitter foods! Always have so I love it!!! Yes they are extremely so :) I relish it though :) my faves are the morello cherries and the Blackcurrants! How did you do today?

Weighing in tomorrow...if I'm brave enough. Feeling really fat! I like the sound of this Cadburys tiffin...!x

Go for it! You'll be glad you did!! Then you can face it head on- I have faith in you :) good luck!! I bought it off eBay from Ireland.. It's very nice (and for special occasions!)

Wow!!!Well done Ruth, you are doing so well :) x

Thank you :) I really am pleased. I never expected to do this well! Particularly with the medication I'm on etc. Totally overhauled my life from when I did it before though!

I hope you do well tomorrow :)

Completely exhausted last night so didn't manage to post everything
Dinner was chicken marinated in spices, cooked with turmeric, paprika and cumin potatoes, peppers, tomatoes and ginger, with curried baked beans. Might sound a bit weird but it was very yummy! My OH put a squeeze of lemon into the potatoes too which made them so tasty!
image.jpeg
My group is opposite waitrose (next to where I used to work!) and I generally always nip in after group to buy myself some bitter lemon (love it!) but I also bought myself some of the Yeo Valley Frozen Yogurt that I found in the freezer section. Really fancied something cold that wasn't fruit, as I eat so much of it! There's three flavours, Lemon Curd, Salted Caramel and Blackcurrant and they come in 290ml containers so it's just enough. The blackcurrant one is 14 Syns for the pot! Oooo it was lovely :) so refreshing- it's got blackcurrant ripple sauce running through it too so I have definitely found a new treat! I believe that the other flavours are around the same Syn value or ever so slightly higher. It's also Gluten Free, yippee!
image.jpeg
Finally, I bought a countdown (a 12 weeker) at group last week that will take me to 27th August (1 holiday booked for 15th August) I was meant to buy it a few weeks back but the ladies at group kept telling me to wait because if you bought one at a certain point then you got a free journal. So I waited... It's a bit fab..
image.jpeg
It's got really useful information inside to keep you on track so I'm looking forward to using it when I have finished using my current one!
Measurements- did these yesterday as promised. 3" off my hips, 1" off my waist and the rest remains the same! Very pleased with that, and that I haven't lost any up top as I don't really want to unless I have to (if that makes sense) my first set of measurements I didn't do right at the start (I forgot boo!) but did on 24/04 so not too bad...and 2 weeks in.
image.jpeg
One final picture of 24/04 to 06/06 in the same trousers (that I couldn't actually wear at the time as they dug in) will keep taking pics...
image.png
I'm not actually a fan of this pic, but at least I can wear these trousers to the gym now ;) getting there!
Apologies for the essay!

Have a wonderful day!

Hi Ruth I've been reading (lurking!) your diary for a while now and decided to see if starting one will keep me on track, I've only been doing sw 4 weeks so still have a long way to go. You have done amazingly and have given me some great recipes to try.
Hope you have a good day xx

You're doing so well Ruth! Check out those measurements! I lost mine from when I very first started slimming world which is SO annoying- I'd be interested to see if my running is having any effect.
The frozen yoghurt sounds delish! I don't have a Waitrose anywhere near me but will look out for it when I venture to the 'big' shops.
I keep meaning to try freezing some mullers or fat free yoghurt, but need to be around to stir it.
Your tan line made me chuckle too- I'm currently sporting a builders tan after sitting out a bit too long in a tshirt  x

Well done on your stone award Ruth! :D
Your doing fab. I love bitter lemon flavours, loving sound of lemon curb frozen yoghurt, its my mission to find it now.
Have a good day,
Natalie x

Hello and welcome :) I find that keeping a diary is great because after the 4 weeks that your consultant insists you keep a diary, it keeps going on here, and the main thing that people say in group if they're struggling/gained etc is- I wish I'd written it down. I also write mine out in a book too so I have a log of everything :)
I'm glad I've spurred you on with the recipes and I hope that everything is going ok for you, and that you've had a wonderful day too!

It's been a bit too hot for me, bleh!

Thank you my dear! Oh that's rubbish!! I thought I'd lost mine too but remembered that I had actually written them down as I text myself them originally when I did them haha! I bet running will have some effect, I always feel much leaner when I have been to the gym :)
Yes definitely look out for it as it is very yummy indeed, and for what it is I was very pleasantly surprised at the Syn value!
Oh goodness, us and our tans! I'm a bit sick of the weather now, the office was unbearable this afternoon. I need air con in my flat!
Hope that you've had a fab day!!

Hello my dear! Thank you, and well done to you on your club 10 and 1lb off! Eek I'm so pleased for you!
I love bitter and tart/sour foods :) they are the best! I eat a lot of strange tasting foods because they keep your tastebuds interested, like mustard and nam pla, wasabi etc! I even like freshly grated ginger on my salads, just keeps them guessing!
Hope that you're having a fab day, you deserve it!

Crumbs it's a bit warm...
Bleh!

Anyway, I had tapioca orzo (cross between rice and pasta) for lunch with black olives (1), tomatoes, mushrooms, lime juice, quark and basil along with 2 boiled eggs. Om nom nom... Lots of black coffee and Pepsi Max. Got to get on the water, just don't like it!!

Dan is sorting out dinner now... Let's see!

My target is now 31st Jan... So 1 week behind.
There's reasoning! I have booked a week away for us. This year has been pretty tough and I have booked us to go to my most favourite place in the world which is Center Parcs.
What with my job all going wrong and my OH being so incredibly poorly in mid Feb I feel that I just need a bit of something to relax me and sort me out.
We will be going on Monday 6th through to Friday 10th, it's our 3 year anniversary on Wednesday 8th.
We both love it there- my OH has been with my family and me twice, and I have been numerous times (at least 30!) since the age of 2!
I can't relax anywhere else or feel totally comfortable and I am already so excited :) after that, the rest of the money is for the house fund!
We never have holidays like this, these are our first three (Edinburgh, Cotswolds and Center Parcs) since being together! So making the most of it :)

I must add to the posts above that the reason I'm so happy about my holidays etc is that the money for them has come from the company that's messed me around. They gave me a bonus as I managed to recover enough funding to stop them going under, and I had a clause written into my contract so I had no holidays for the first six months, hence no time off since November. Which I didn't think seemed like too much tbh but I will openly admit to being exhausted. Therefore when I left I got all of my holiday paid etc so I'm super chuffed :)
No holidays for the next ten years after though ;) we are on a help to buy scheme but even though I'm aware of costings for a house I still think there's going to be hidden costs! Oh well I can't think about it too much until it is actually there on paper in front of me, particularly given Harrogate's house prices

Anyway, lovely day today!! Made one of my salads again and I'm going to at least try with the water today ;) it's too hot not to!

Hope you all have a good day!

Your holidays sound great, so nice to have something to look forward to!
We're going away at the end of this week and I feel ready for it. Then need to put in some seriously hard at work til end of July when we go to Cornwall!
Sounds like you've got your head screwed on re house buying- I'm sure there are hidden costs or things that you don't think of, so better to have a little stash just in case. Harrogate is an expensive area to live! Fingers crossed you find something within budget when you are ready for the move :)
Have you tried a water infusion bottle? It's got a little compartment in the middle where you can put chopped up fruit/lemon/lime etc- liven the water up a bit, but not actually in the bit you drink so you don't get bits in it! I don't think there's anything wrong with sugar free squash either for what it's worth- still getting the fluids in and it's not diuretic like tea/coffee.
Have a good day! X
