Unfinished diary

Yep thats my two to a T. Couldn't have described it better. DS1 is so impetuous, too. Can't seem to see the long term consequences of his stupidity.

All DS1 antics are starting to wear a bit thin with DS2 now, tho. He's older and can see how tired me and his dad are getting.

Still, as Jackie would say, we're Perfect Parents. We can handle anything they care to throw our way. We're made of sturdier stuff than most. :p

Just had a lovely phone call from a friend and she's coming round tonight at 8 for a coffee and chatter.

Also had an email from SIL (bros wife) and been invited for a cuppa and natter at hers at 6 so I'm Missy Popularity tonight.
(Me thinks words got out that trouble is abrewing and my lovely friends are closing ranks around me. I'm a lucky girl.;))

Okay back to food. You know I said I didn't feel like eating............ :ashamed0005:

Will have to edit my menu. Haven't worked out the damage but its recoverable. 'cept I don't know what the syn costs are for one thing.

Breakfast turned into:

Peas on toast
2x scrambled eggs
6 mushrooms
2 nectarines
3 go ahead apple & cin crispy slices
4 plums

I reached for 1/2 a tin of tuna and then put it back cos I remembered I'm on a green day. ;)

The peas I guess = the beans
Fruit's free.
Don't know about the slices. Bout 8ish?

Well I don't fancy my jacket now so will have that late afternoon and maybe my weetabix in bed. :D

Wouldn't mind but I only had a couple of forks of peas and then thought 'what the heck?' and left them. Hate waste!

Gonna do some wii tennis in a mo because I know that normally makes me feel really happy.
Hate when I get in silly moods.

Might meal plan the next few days too. Do something constructive and positive. :D

Bugger, what's going on here, everyone's having food control problems this week...is there a full moon? Do we turn into gluttons as soon as it rears it's ugly glow (had a vision then of a werewolf salivating heavily over a go ahead apple and cinnamon crispy slice :rotflmao:), at least there is one good thing about all this, no one can say we didn't all go off the rails...personally makes me feel more human lol
Nice to be popular hun, have a great time catching up, really really nice when friends are there for you x
Good guess on the Go Ahead, all varities of the cripsy thins are 3 syns each, used to love them till I found alpen light bars and they were the same amount of syns.
Good luck with you tennis, I am off to put my feet up for a bit, will report back in after WI tonight xx

Hope you've got enough loo roll Lily :D

Your food looks good to me Crumble. A little bit of what you fancy and all that :)

Thankfully hun I had just bought 2 x 24 rolls cos Tesco had them on for £8 till Jan...so I should be ok-ish :8855: thanks for the concern lol xx

Were revolting and Tescos has no sugar in their tinned peas. When did that happen?!

DH won't be pleased his go aheads missing. Ah well, you sleep you weep.

I shall read properly later as must work that dread 'w' word :8855:
I did see peas on toast :8855: and loo roll :8855:

Crumble hunni if you can't offload on friends it woud be a sad world. We are all here for you,and despite us being perfect parents are kids are still being moulded into shape so we need each others help to make sure they eventually turn out perfect too (((hugs)))

I have two boys as well as Charlie, as you know and believe me they are chalk and cheese. Matt's ex was like this. One min loved her next hated her.... at mo shes not on the scene (phew) but just as likely to come back shes like a bad penny :8855:

Chris is still managable and loves him mum most of the time despite being 14 :)

Charlie is Charlie.... I say no more.

We are here, and its your diary so offload. A problem shared is a problem halved and I find writing it down helps unload the burden sometimes, and hearing others say they've had the same etc or i'm doing the right thing helps too.

Last night, you'll laugh, I got it into my head Matt might be smoking weed... so I asked him out right as you do. The reply was 'wtf' so I take that as a no :8855: :8855:

take care sweetie, and hope you enjoyed the peas on toast :confused:

You are doing well sweetie. We can only do our best. ((hugs)) and bless him

Charlie is already worried about school. Genuinally worried... she cries and whitters alot each day. Tried all sorts but nothing works. Today she calmed a little bit at a treat - taxi to ASDA buy a few bits and a craft set for her and taxi home, walk Carla in park in the rain... within 30 mins of being home worried again :( lets hope she loves it when finally gets there lol xxxxx

i was a worrier about school too when I was little but I was fine once there. Always did the Sunday night panic thing tho. Sad for kiddies when they worry like that. Maybe she'll gradually get better as she grows. :)

I love mini cheddars :D

Jackie's done all the wise words - and very good they were too :)

Just remember that when our kids are trying our patience it's cos of their dads genes :D

:8855::8855: absolutely love it! :8855: :8855: I know mine have more of their Dads genes cos they are all skinny :8855:

Oh why did you mention Cheddars....crisps with cheese...is there anything better

They have been sat in the cupboard for ages and I've not given them a second look. Tonight I'm trying to force feed them down DH neck as scared to be in the house alone with them tomorrow.

Showed DS2 the piccy of Jackies chocolate 'lime' snicker earlier. Honest truth he looked stricken. :8855:'it was even a duo,' he said looking totally in shock.
He's a born chocoholic. :p

My hubby too, he went shopping with DD2 yesterday to Tesco, when he got back I was doing my exercise and he had to wait to get past me to his computer desk.
As he went past I noticed he was hiding something, the greedy beggar had 2 x Mcvities Digestives, the big packs, 3 x 6 double bars of twix and 2 x 4 double bars of twirls and he leaves them there in full view ...mind you I'd only have to have them if he hid them, keep them in full view and they are safe lol

Morning all. Feeling full of beans today and raring to go. :greenapple::D

Woken up starving and dying for a black tea. I've been sat in bed working out my plan today and DETERMINED that I will get my Carrot & Coriandar soup!:drool:

Got to plough through a mass of washing today while its sunny (my life is so exciting!) so will get to business with the my food today.

So today will be: RED SE

Egg
mushrooms/cherry tomatoes, grilled
slice whm toast ~ HXB

melon
iced coffee ~ HXA
1 tsp sugar ~ 1 syn

1/4 tin tuna in oil (drained) ~ 4 syns
lett/cue/grated carrot/
toms/gherkins/chopped apple
balsamic

Carrot & coriandar soup ~ 7 syns
melon/strawberries

2x ryvita ~ HXB
posh cottage cheese ~ 2.5 syns
tomato/cue/gherkin

iced coffee ~ HXA
1 tsp sugar ~ 1 syn

= 2x HXA, 2x HXB + 15.5 syns

43/95 syns

Well, I'd better get that washing in, get my brekkies and then I think I'll have a go at my wii tennis. Giving it another day before I try the boxing to make sure the back is completely better.

See you all later. ;)

How do you make your carrot and coriander soup with cream or milk?

Just done a load of washing myself with the help of my 4yr old granddaughter who is staying with us and had me up all night, plus got me up at 6, so made her work by helping me peg the washing out, taking her to the penny arcade and the beech later on today, hope its stays nice.

Jane x

Morning all,
Menu looks great hun, spent all night working out an SE menu think I've worked it out properly, but will have to see as I go along, Just had my breakfast and am totally stuffed, all that extra SF doesn't leave much room for anything else lol
Jackie it could be that high because Crumble is doing SE and on that you have to take the highest syn value even if you are doing a Red day and the highest is on a Green day...if that makes sense
Anyway off to see what you've all been up to, speak soon xx

Morning Crumble

It's nice to see the nice happy organised Cumble back. Glad you're feeling good again :)

Thank you Tilly, and I must say I'm really pleased, too. Not having any more of those days. No likey! :(

Jackie - Lilys exactly right. I have to syn everything at the higher level on SE which has just reminded me that I didn't the tuna. See why I need this diary?

So in order to stay within my syn allowance I will be having 1/4 tin of tuna.
Rubbish memory I've got.

Jane - I'm not sure if my links to the recipe will work as some don't have membership to SW online so I'll write up the recipe. ;)

Carrot & Coriander thick soup
serves 4 , free on Green, 7 on Red

8 carrots
1 lrg onion
1/2 tsp garlic salt (didn't use)
1 tsp ground coriander
85g split peas (I used yellow lentils)
85g pearl barley (missed out)
2pts stock
s/pepper

Chop veg and place all the ingredients into a saucepan. Stir.
Bring to the boil and then simmer for 1-1.5hrs. (took me 45mins:confused:)
Keep checking and adding water if necessary. (good tip )
Blend to thicken more.
Tuck in!

I love lentil or split pea soups so this is right up my alley.
It made the house smell really homely.:D

As it happens I'm about to make mine now. :D:D
Just going to have a quick read up while I have my cuppa and then I'll be chopping inbetween reading. ;)

Just a thought about the ground coriander. Seemed a bit mean to me so we had 1 tbsp of coriander. Much better. :)
