We have similar homes.
I'm thinking ignore it till you can't get across the floor or you know visitors are due (or mums ) ... then do the panic clean.
Lol I seem to be forever cleaning this house, but it still look exactly the same lol xxxMorning!
I'm a STS this week.
Might have been the party food last night (I did partake ).
Or could it have been the absolutely scrummy lunch that DH took me out for on Saturday when we played hooky?
Then again.... I did whop down an apple pie and a buttered teacake while visiting mum again.
However, a STS is not the end of the world. Its just about right for this week - a maintenance week.
But we can't have many more of those because I've booked my hols and I want to get back in my jeans for them. (I fear for the seams at present )
STS is good hun xx....we'll you into shape for this holiday :8855:
So I've planned my EE food this way:
French cinnamon toast with... ~ B
Banana & crumble yog (poured over) ~ 0.5 syns
Roasted lemon/garlic chicken ~ 5 syns
Roasted onions/parsnip & Potatoes

floret mix

11.5/105 syns
Hope you all had a lovely, relaxing weekend.
Nice to see things going well for Kelly, Lily. Hope her shoulder is doing better.
Think I missed what the decision was at the hospital.
Kelly had an exploratory op last Wednesday or was it Thursday?, won't know the outcome till end of March, they don't rush themselves do they lol xxx
Mum's supposed to be coming up for the day today.
Not sure if she'll make it but shes stir crazy at home and dying to get out.
She's going to be 80 this year but she'll still womble down here with her enormous shopper, full of a zillion calories. She's unstopable.
:wow: 80 and going strong good for her xx
Right, must get my brekkies and then clean my fridge.
Its dire.
A swede is doing something disgusting at the back of it.
And I've got a bad feeling over some cheese in there.
You practically :faint2: when you open it.
Smells like cheesy feet.
Could be the evap.
Someone opened it for some reason and left it there.
Thinking on, might have been DS1 and he's been gone a bit.
Getting the feeling I need to gain control of the house now.
Quite looking forward to continuing the 'great spring clean.'
Catcha later.
Me too got a fridge like that, not at the mo cos was a good girl Sat and cleaned it but give me a month or so and It'll be back to something out of quatermass lol xxOh I'm glad other people have fridges which are like mine, the number of times I've found things (unidentifiable) which died a long time back skulking in the deep dark recesses is scary.
Your attitude to the STS is great, can you teach me how to do it. Hope your Tuesday is good.
Tis easy now. I know when I've 'indulged' a little and don't expect the losses.
Now if you've ever read back when I think I deserve a loss and don't get ...well.... different story.
OOhh I'm pathetic then. Full of the 'not fair,' 'why me's?'
Glad others have fridges less than perfect like mine.
We've also had occasions when we pull something from the back and gather round trying to puzzle what it once was.
Fortunately thats a rarity these days.
Before I get to business, I have another piccy of my new little DGS. He's such a good baby. I babysat yesterday to give them a break as they looked so tired and had errands to do in town. Easier on their own.
Mum loved it. But she can not be trusted.
One minute on her own with him and she had him out the pram and woke him up just as I was dishing dinner!
Guess who's dinner went cold rocking him back to sleep.
He's 2 weeks old now. Time flies.
He properly has started to smile already! Not often but its real smiles, none of that 'is it wind?' nonsense.
DS2 smiled really early, too.
It melts your heart when he does it.
I'm a little uncertain what to eat today.
Don't fancy anything except for tea. Got that sorted.
Tea:
Lemon herb crusted chicken ~ 1/2 A + 3 syns
Herby wedges
mushrooms, tomatoes (grilled)
7 sprays oli oil ~ 0.5 syns
Perhaps I'll have brunch rather than lunch and brekkies.
Bacon, egg, mushrooms, toms and a cumberland sausage ~ 4 syns
slice bread ~ B + 2 syns
150ml 1% milk ~ 1/2 A
Getting bored of all the satsumas and oranges I have in. Might nick DS2's blueberries if he doesn't get a wiggle on eating them.
Must do my bedroom today. I'm tripping over things, its that bad. Tut tut.
We have similar homes.
I'm thinking ignore it till you can't get across the floor or you know visitors are due (or mums ) ... then do the panic clean.
Some are dressed as little adults, aren't they from the off.
I'm glad DIL pops him in lovely little babygros and wooly cardis and shawls.
I just love his gummy little smile and the funny little squeaky noises he makes.
SIL is besotted with him. We elbow each other out the way when he arrives. Its all quite ungainly.
Best get back to tidying this bedroom.
The fact its taking all day gives you some clue as to how bad things got.
Been a mess since we moved here in April.
Finally decided its time to open the boxes and get it organised.
I maybe have a different approach to spring cleaning to most.
1. Pop everything from the floor, surfaces on bed.
2. Shove to one side to set lappy up and boot up.
3. Crank up hard drive on dvd player and pop a movie on.
4. Start binning rubbish while posting on here every 5 mins and keep an eye on whats happening in my film.
5. Realise can't recyle pile of mags until I've checked for recipes, stories, coupons, bits I want to keep etc. So lay back and flip through - while posting on minimins and keeping track of my movie.
No wonder I'm exhausted at the end of the day and couldn't cook tea.... necessitating SIL putting her hand in her pocket and buying F & C's.
Eckk, you already off the blocks with it, are you?
I better get a wiggle on and start tomorrow morning then.
Today I've been good, with the exception of a doughnut but I can allow for those syns.
So tomorrow it is. Decided!
Lily, I've just seen the piccies of Lyla on your diary. Wouldn't they make a handsome couple!
So we're all set for tomorrow.
Arghhh... must get in the right mind set.
Crumble said:arty0011: Well Done Valerie! WW seems to be working for you.
Are you feeling your feet with it more now?
