Unfinished diary

Tis Lily's fault. She's not here! Galivanting when we need her.

You see Lily sent me the bluh a bit ago, online membership mentions zilch about SE  and I'm getting the impression that 'free foods' are only those that are free on both plans (green and red) like eggs, some dairy, veg protein.

But then it gives you a sample menu and it speaks of tuna and jacket potato.
It doesn't explain if they're HXBing the potato and the tuna.:confused:

Lily will know. ;)

I can't eat all whats on my menu.
I've had the brekkies and a banana with crumble yogurt and didn't want the readybrek later.

Think I'm going to have a shifty round as I fancy jacket with sausage casserole. I'll work the syns out and see if it will 'fit.' :D

Be back when I've number crunched.:p

Do you still have what Lily sent you?

Super free are those F & V that are free on both plans so out goes as my C says 4 P's, Pots parsnips pulses & Sweetcorn. I guess she has issues with spelling. But I thought the other 1/3rd had to be free on R or G too. I'll check and let you know for sure tomorrow.:D

The one advantage of a less than tidy house is I still have a book from 5 years ago when it was launched.

I've been really struggling to eat all I had planned too and syns have been silly things like brown sauce or chutney. Feel too full to eat any "real" syns. Must be doing me some good. :D

Yep thats the way I'm reading it, too.

So potatoes, parsnips, peas and corn on cob could be eaten then as free foods within that 1/3 on the plate.

I'm definitely having to include a lot of snacking of raw veg. Love celery and raw carrots.
Been popping cherry tomatoes, too.

DH just offered me his jam doughnut but I resisted. :D

Just got to work out what to have tomorrow now. Need to restock on salady bits at the Tesco tomorrow.
Roll on when the garden starts producing again.
Least my tomato seeds have popped up today. :D:D

I think we've sussed it. But I need to fess up to being a bit lax with tea tonight think my ratios were off. Still 100% for normal plans and maybe if I counted my superfree grazing as part of tea it would all be OK.

Don't want to con myself as it's not really in the spirit of SE.

We can compare notes again tomorrow. :D

I've stuck to the 1/3 plate of free foods still but sometimes the SF foods I have won't go with the 1/3 on my plate.
ie.. sausage casserole with celery, cherry toms and blueberries.

An interesting combo certainly :D

Although there was plenty of veg in the casserole I just wanted some to eat fresh so had the toms and celery half hour later, but still staying within the ratio on my plate. If you're with me.

Yep completely clear, me too, not quite the letter of the law but defo keeping in the spirit.:D

I'm trying not to get too pedantic about it, as has been my way in the past  but just 'do my best.' Otherwise I may crash and burn.
Its certainly a very healthy way to eat when you don't add the doughnuts. :p

obsessive to get too hung up on it and just sets you up for a fall, The jam dogs were before you started SE anyway :D

Be back soon with my menu - once I've made it up!

I'll look forward to nicking your ideas later then. :D

Have a good one,

Morning Crumble How are you today? I think you'll be OK from the Chow Mein I would have though that the syns measure would have been for an average serving, so the usual box full it is.

Don't know if you read my diary yesterday but I was encouraging you to check out Sharpes finer points. Well I just spotted that one of the later stories is on telly today and repeated tomorrow PMT CH 12 3pm amd 11 am on Sunday. Just thought I'd let you know.

I'm thinking of giving SE a swerve for the w/end too but then again I don't think I've been managing to do the full program anyway. Not been able to eat 3 meals and night meal not always fully per plan. Would still be 100% on normal plans though. So thats much better than I was a couple of weeks back. :D

Looking forward to checking out your menus later on.

Hey sweetie, firstly I must correct you, the average portion of Chicken Chow Mein from takeaway is 7 syns...it's the beef chow mein that's 8.5..and unless your takeaway does excessively big portions (mine comes in either a large flattish plastic sealable pot or a foil pot with lid ) then it will be just 7 syns...I personally think that's well worth 7 of anyones syns lol.
I have been rereading the SE leaflet, was doing it from memory over the last few days and I have noticed a few mistakes I have made such as snacking only on fruit etc, but I am happy with the way I have done this week, I have eaten a lot less carp and loads more superfree, done lots more exercise and drunk loads more water, so I am happy....I am naughty and did just have a sneaky peak at the scales which even after a huge brunch and dinner are showing a 3lb loss, I can't be unhappy about that now can I? :woohoo:
Hope you have a lovely evening and a great time with family tomorrow :hug99: xxxxxxxxxxxxx

I'm slowly catching up with everyone. Problem is it's taking forever

Have fun with the babysitting :D
