What are we eating today?

Mad few days but have behaved myself :)

B - Leftover cheeseburger pie
L - Chicken and cheese
D - rest of cheeseburger pie with salad & 150g celeriac chips

5lb off this first week

I make them up occasionally from low carb whey protein and water, hun, with a sachet of splenda. Have a massive jar of it and want to clear out the cupboards.
 
B was 5 strips pancetta, 3 small flat mushrooms with 30g melted brie
I'm going to roast a chicken so that + veg will probably do me for the rest of the day + breakfast + late night snack tomorrow. I looove roast chicken but hate it if I haven't cooked it myself for some reason.

Anyway, I made a flax muffin to take to college yesterday, thinking it would be the perfect thing to get me through the day - and it was great, filling enough that I only ate half of it and had the rest later but OMG it made my digestion so NOISY. I sat through lectures so embarrassed with my stomach growling like a bear. Back to the drawing board. I'm taking crispy bacon with me tomorrow, and will probably have a bunless cheeseburger at waterloo as I have a 16hr day and need something warm.
 
Do you think it was the flax moving your tummy about hon? it is embarassing when that happens!
 
I'm sure it must have been the flax, can't think what else, and I know they're full of fibre to get your digestion going. I was just hoping the rest of the class would think a real bear had gotten in and just run away.

Goddammit...I was so happy that there were no more choccies in the office! But it was someone's bday and they brought some cakes and mini choc brownies in...

I was weak. I tried to fill up on Peperami to stop myself but I just couldn't (as pathetic as that sounds!) - So anyway, stopped by H&B tonight and got some Sula low carb sweets for the office to fall back on in the future.
 
Don't worry Michael, it's so hard to resist when you're surrounded by carby stuff and everyone is tucking in - but you're on the right track, planning ahead is the key :)

It's crazy how many carbs, nay sugars, are in foods. 3.7g in this 2x2cm square piece of cake. Eeesh. So many benefits from going low carb.

I got in a mini argument with someone saying low carbs is unhealthy. I asked them why is it unhealthy? They had no answer. Shows what years of a government-sponsored nutritional doctrine gets ya! :D

I know what you mean about hidden sugars. I thought I didn't have much of a sweet tooth but I do!

TG for Atkins bars, I would break out in a big rash of choc eating if I couldn't have them :)

What surprised me today is that I really had to stop myself from going for a third choc - like a stern voice in my head going NO - STOP! Perhaps like a parent would do to a disobedient toddler...

Might have to check those Atkins Bars out at some point after all...I'm a bit wary after reading bits and bobs that they can stall people but rather that than be smashed straight out of Ketosis, eh! :)
