Tanya, your food for today looks so super. How are you doing on it? Are you feeling hungry at all?
 
I feel fine and the only time I feel hungry is during work but that's not unusual :)

Glad to know that you think it's super today :)
 
IT is fab that you don't feel peckish. Personally, it is this aspect of GL that I love. I only feel I am on a diet if I am starving all the time. With GL I rarely lounge around the kitchen wondering what can I possible have next to eat!!
I also think planning meals is a good approach. You are defo the queen at that as you have been fab since refeed at thinking through your weekly menus.
Weekend coming up Tanya, so plan carefully. Make space for a treat or two but don't go mad at it either!
 
I don't really wana make space for a treat or two. I feel like i need to get out of that habit, even if it's just for one weekend. For the past 2 weekends i have been really bad so i do need to pull it back on the weekends and not enter the mind frame of oh its the weekend i'll have a treat ... but we shall see!! :eek:


Went for my 25minute run this morning. Dissapointed. I had to walk!!! I went a different route today as i know from my house to mutly plane and back is 5k. So i thought right lets crack this route and work on this and then when i've done week 9 i can work on that for a few weeks to get there and back within the 30minutes before trying 10k. Well, it's a pretty hilly route. Up down, up down and the final hill before turning around and coming back was a killer!!!! long sweeping hill, ya know the ones! But i didn't stop there. I had to stop on the 2nd to last hill my legs just wouldnt carry me! :(

So, next week, C25k w8 - i will be using the hill route :eek: Am i mad?!!!!!!!!!! :cool:

Friday 20th August

B- 1 slice stoneground wholemeal bread toasted, 2 eggs scrambled with a dash of skimmed milk, ham & dollop of ketchup. 2 english plums.

L- Butter bean salad & elf Mayo.

S- Peach

D- 5 chocolates from the box me bf got me (all gone now except an unopened packet of pralines!) Mullerlight yog.

S- Cucumber sticks & lf hummous. Apple

*2 yog go aheads.
*8 seafood sticks.
*1/2 cadbury bar.
*handful cheddar & sour cream crisps.

*2litre water
*2 black coffee & sweetener

That's o.k. Just don't let it kick off a binge fest. Drink plenty of water. I kept fancying something nice tonight, maybe cos it's the weekend, I don't know. I managed not to cave completely but did have two nature valley bars on the basis that it was better than biscuits!!! Then I had two nectarines for the same reason!! Now I'm on the water to stop me doing any more damage!!
 
At least they're all gone now Tan ;) Ignore the other bag!!! It's only opened packs that it'd be rude to not empty ;)

Just munched 2 yogurt go ahead bars - am so hungry :(

Also I've decided I want to be back into the 11st bracket asap then I wana concentrate on maintaining so am guna use up my shakes starting next week.

2 shakes, 1 meal and 2 bits of fruit a day.

I'm just not happy right now :(

Yer defo, I love the foods and my meal will be low gi I just desperately want to be back into the 11's.

It's just greed and impatience I guess!!

I know what you mean about being impatient. I think that can really be our downfall can't it? In some ways it's a it of a shame to be going back to the shakes - we're going to have 'do it' with food sooner or later but I guess you have to do what you have to do ;) and if it'll make you feel happier .... xx
 
Yeah it is a shame but right now i just think it will be better for me to do that. Much stricter. Less thinking. Quicker weight loss. I know its not the answer though so im guna have to seriously knuckle down when i get back into the 11s. I just feel like i've let myself down. I look at you and mary and see that you maintain within a few lbs and i feel sad that im over a stone up - the scales will tell for defo on monday. Im scared to get on the scales but i know its got to be done. I might even do it sunday.

Just had 8 seafood sticks & 1/2 cadbury bar & handful of cheddar and sourcream walkers.

Mrs blossom hill is in the fridge ready for tonight - just can't resist!

Last weighed on the 1st August. Weighed today and its a +7lbs! (Not as bad as it was on tuesday but still not good).

That leaves me 1st 4lbs to get back to where i was when i finished lt.

I can do this. Defo using up the shakes for the next few weeks - atleast untill i go away on the 5th. 2 shakes & 1 meal a day with 1 or 2 bits of fruit.

Food today:

Saturday 21st August

B- 2 slices stoneground wholemeal with peanut butter.

L/D -Small bowl of Turkey breast & green lentil curry - made with onion, mushrooms, yellow pepper, dash of olive oil, garlic, tinned toms, curry powder. (Got plenty left over for 2 or 3 more meals - providing the little bro & dad don't munch it tomorrow after getting home from their jollies)

*500ml water
*1 black coffee & sweetener

*1 bottle & 1 glass of rose wine ;)
*vodka & dcs.

*(Alcohol munchies :doh:)8 crab sticks, 1 orange kit kat, 1 orange club cake bar & 2 handfulls sweet chilli chicken extra crunchy walkers (new ones on offer at asda & the bf bought them so be rude not too! :giggle:)

I understand your impatience to lose the weight but it is a pity to go back to the shakes.
If you have put back on 18lbs since finishing LT then you will have to spend some time identifying the cause. It may be portion control, certain foods that trigger overeating or emotional or a predisposition to carrying too much weight.
Don't keep beating yourself up either by comparing yourself with others. We all have gained weight for varying reasons. So, you must find a plan for life that works for you and suits your lifestyle.
 
Yar, like i say its a shame to go back to the shakes but at the minute i dont see any other option. Im fed up of food. I'm fed up of thinking about it all the time wondering what i can have what i cant. By using up my shakes im free to have one meal a day which is nothing much to think about. Not only that, things are a little tight right now so i wouldnt need to spend much on the way of food either :) Just a bit of pressure off really.

My downfalls were my holidays. I just go ott. Always have done and i think i always will do. Its hard cuz i know i doubt it will ever change.

Maybe i'm destined to be a fatty all my life!!! :giggle:

Personally I think you need to have a good burst and get yourself down to where you want to be. THEN you can JUST think about maintaining instead of this putting on a stone or so which - in your head you're also adding on to what you still want to lose and feel as though you're making things a whole lot worse instead of it just being those few pounds .... Do you see what I mean??

It IS a pain but the fact is you WILL always have that predisposition to gain weight. You WILL always have to watch what you're doing, but you're young enough for it to become second nature - eventually!

DO NOT let any of this get you down - ya hear????!!!!! ;) Easy said I know but I don't like hearing any negative thoughts creeping in .... however lighthearted I'm supposed to think they are!!! You're only up 7lbs! That's acceptable after everything you've been up to - a pain coz you've gotta get it off again - but acceptable. Just get back on that treadmill girl and put one foot in front of another ... one step at a time ... you WILL get there in the end!! xxx

I dont have much to go to get into the 11st bracket once im there i think in my head i will feel ok about it as i wont be far off where i finished tfr!

Guna start 2 shakes 1 meal from tuesday :) Im thinking on the days i do my running i might take a piece of meat or something extra to work with me as i run when i get home and i think my body would need something more than a salad.

Sunday 22nd August

B- 1.5 quorn cumberland sausages, 2 rashers bacon - all grilled. Baked beans, 2 poached eggs and 2 slices of stoneground wholemeal toasted with a light spread of butter. Hp sauce.

*1 donut.
*1 packet walkers sunbites with some hummous.
*2 packet walkers ready salted with hummous.
*1 packet mini cheddars.
*3 cupcakes (they are small mind - plus the left over mixture ;))
*2 icelollies.

Having some more vodka and diet cherry coke now - well, what else is there to do!!! :rolleyes:

D- 1 slice of good fellas pizza (1/6th) and half garlic baguette.
