♥ ~ Tanya's Maintainence Diary ~ Year 2 ~♥

I'm glad it's not just Ireland that is blooming freezing. I haver never had central heating on in June till this year!!! Eek! It's wet windy and cold today.

*humph* :( tis just not fair is it!!! :giggle: And ya know what - I didn't even have one of the cupcakes I made on friday cuz I was so determined!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Just got to think "holiday. 12s5lb. holiday. 12s5lb. bikini. holiday..." I think you get the picture!!

I'm off to sink a pint of water ...:break_diet:

Come on now!!! Focus on that bikini babe you want to be !! Put away the munchies. Surf the net, paint your nails, take out the hol gear and have a quick pick through it.
No snacking!!!!!!!

Thats a bloody good idea but is 2 weeks too early to pack my case?!!!

Not if it keeps you focussed!! You can pack and unpack a few times!!!

hahaha :giggle:

I got out the bikinis tried them on again - oddly one pair of the bikini bottoms feels loser than when I first bought them about 3months ago!

Have also written my essentials list (toiletries etc).

I'm about to go and start mine & stevies dinner. Its sooooooooooooooo tempting to crack open a bottle of red to have a nice large glass with dinner  :sigh:

Ha! Well done on the loose bikini bottom. All the running has you real toned. Good incentive to stay strong. No wine tonight!!!!

haha Nope, no wine!

I bought beef medallions - won't be buying them again. Thought theyd be lovely & healthy as there was no fat on them but it made them very tough even though I cooked them to medium.

Oooo you must have a lovely toned bum with all your running :D!!

Yeah - red meat with no fat usually ends up a bit tough :(

Well done on the 'no wine' :) xx

Well done on no wine!!! I've got caught with beef medallions too. No idea what cut of meat they are but god they need to be cooked for hours in the oven to make them edible!!! Tough as old boots otherwise !!!

Good for you entering the 10K Tanya, great incentive to keep you at the running! Let us know if you need sponsoring again.

You go on hols 3 days before us. Not long to go now. I'm not packing my case yet either, think I will leave it for another week. Everything's all together, just not packed up yet.

Agree with you about the weather down here yesterday, terrible wasn't it. Felt like winter yet it's the middle of June! We need the water though, don't want a hosepipe ban!

Is it really 2 years since you went to Turkey? I can't believe it's that long. Where has that time gone. It's 2 years since we went away as well so can't wait, just like you!

I went to Turkey in August 2009 so almost 2 years.

Wanted to do a 6mile run today but my thighs were having none of it. Don't think its a good idea to be doing that 30day shred dvd. Its either that or the fact i'm not having my porridge

Either way here is my running plan:

1x 3mile speed run a week
1x 6mile run including hills a week
1x 6mile normal flat run a week

That will give me 15miles per week which is what I was doing whilst training for the 1/2 so hopefully should still keep my fitness and hopefully lose a few lbs.

I am tempted to have a small bowl of porridge on the days I do my 6mile runs though i'm just not sure I can do it on my bars alone.

You must make sure you've got the energy hon or you won't do yourself any favours. Can you get advice frome the runner's forum you're on?

Ooooo 'cited for your hols :D xx

Yup, i've posted a thread on there about my training plan and another about weight loss and the general replies were balanced diet watching the cals.

Waiting for a reply on my training plan though.

Just got back from shopping & munched a jam doughnut & a 200ml glass of pepsi max ... Why I do it I duno!!!!

As usual, super organised Tanya!!! Race plan in place, go you!!! Don't know about food intake. I'd prefer real food to meal bars. Porridge with 50g chopped apricots or other dried fruit would give you that little boost on running days.
Keep away from the blooming donuts!!!!!

Im thinking porridge with some seeds. In our goody bags from the 1/2mara we got given packs of linwoods seeds and I have 4x 15g packets. Got one which is just flaxseeds, one with flaxseed, almonds, brazil nuts, walnuts & q10 (whatever that is!LOL) and 2 with flaxseed & goji berries. Would they be ok ya reckon?

Getting some good replies on my training programme on the runners forum and so i'm going to re-do it and will update ya all soon :) x

Nothing wrong with the pepsi max imho but why did you buy the do-nuts!!!
Glad you're getting the help you need re training/eating :D xx
