Yup! i'm guessing, if i'm being selfish, it might mean more roles etc for us specials but its bad news for us specials who want full time!

I swear, the next regular that moans about dealing with the same old 'crap' and how 'bored' he is i'll tell em straight, do one then then let me have your job! :giggle: (no I wont, but thats what i'll be thinking!!)
 
picked at a slice of garlic baguette and a slice of soreen.

Total cals on 809 feel like i should eat something else, i've another eat natural bar here or some sessamee (sp?) snaps but im not hungry but yet 809 total cals is a little low :confused:

I know what you mean about what you'll feel like saying to the next regular who moans. I bet if he/she was one of those 16,000 getting cut they'd soon realise how much they want their job!! Can't believe we're going to be losing over 10% of the force - sounds crazy to me like I said! xx
 
I dont think you have completely settled back down since you came back from your holidays, then to hear the news about the Police is just another body blow. Hope your mood brightens soon chick - nothing worse as feeling peed off.
 
That is bad news about the police cuts, they're undermanned anyway in my opinion.

Hope you feel a bit brighter today, hate feeling down!
 
Sorry to hear your feeling a bit pants- I had a day like that the other day and couldn't snap out of it :( well done on your class too- sounds fab :)
 
Hope you feel brighter for the weekend. The news on the cuts is a bummer. Look at the positive side though. At least, rather than waiting for an opening, you got off your butt and applied for the specials. Now you are one and will be getting loads of good experience which will make you a better officer when you finally get there.
So just row with the flow hon and enjoy life.
 
No, I really havent been myself since getting back from my holiday, im not sure whether im just unhappy at the minute, wether its holiday blues or wether im just being stupid.

Todays weigh in +0.75lbs ... expected after the weekend.

This weekend i'm not working saturday now so im going to chill out when stevie goes out with A glass of wine and watch Glee ... got to see what the fuss is about. Then up early for overtime sunday morning. Maybe finish off the wine on sunday but wil count the cals.

Today was weird. I got up at 09:55 to get some tickets to see Michael McIntyre next August !!! LOL got some after 1hr30mins of trying .. good seats too, within the first 13rows find out tomo which row when i pick up the tickets :) Then went back to bed 2.5hrs more sleep then up and got a shift this evening :D :D :D :D

Well done on getting such good tickets - never really been bothered about comedians, but I did like him in BGT.

You can lose that small gain chick just by a couple of good days.

Better mood, only because I bought tickets and i've had a shift. Now its almost time to go to work :(

Good food except the walkers i just ate :eek:

I have had a suggestion put to me that I should work out how many calories I need over the week, so my 1,289 daily and the calories i burn added together and then divide that by 7 .... that might make it easier to eat a decent amount of cals on the days I exercise.

Does that make sense to you guys?

As like yesterday for eg I knew I was well under and 809 was not enough for the body yet I didn't want to eat anything more just for the sake of it.

I hope you know what I mean lol
 
I may be being thick but actually that doesn't make sense to me. It makes more sense to me to eat more on the days you exercise for (I think) obvious reasons.
I also think noone should eat for the sake of it (HaHa - yes it's ME saying that ;)) I know I'll say - 'that's not enough' to people but if you're someone just as capable of going overboard now and again (like you and me Tan ;)) then the odd very low cal day isn't going to hurt I don't think. I get more concerned about people who eat at that level and believe it's enough all the time.

As I said though, I may be being thick ..... ? xx
 
Yeah took me a while to get my head around it. On days I exercise and burn around 500cals I struggle to eat the 'right' foods and get back up to 1,289 calories so someone said ok ....

1,289 calories a day x 7 days a week = 9023

exercise cals burnt in a week roughly 1000

total cals for week 9023 + 1000 burnt cals = 10,023

then 10,023 / 7days a week = 1431 calories a day.

hahaha ive just given you a maths lesson, sorry lol

I'm not sure about it though. Like you say 2/3days a week with a low cal intake because we go overboard sometimes might be ok. But then I think really, i'm creating a 1,000 calorie defecit as it is do I really need to go below the 1,289??

I might give it a try see how it pans out ....

Also just read on the runnersforum why dont I just stick to 1,500calories a day (which would be a 700cal defecit to me) and have the exercise as a bonus ........ that makes a little more sense and would take me to around 1000ish on days I exercise :hmm:

Oh why can't I just go back to LT !!!! :(
 
That does make sense as you say ... I KNOW what you mean about LT. I think that's why I've been doing the 2 products & a meal since April - it's just so easy! One of the friends I saw last week said that there must be easier ways (when I got weighed in her house and said it looked like I might have lost a little) - that doesn't make sense to me. What can be easier than not having to think about meals, nutritional content etc etc??!!

Mind you! 'It's paid for so I'm having it' is bound to kick in again next week when I'm B&B-ing with Mum. I'd like to think I'll have poached eggs on a piece of toast or something but I somehow doubt I'll be that good :eek:. I'll try to stick to a bar at lunchtime though. It'll be difficult with Mum, she's a terrible influence on me. Guess that's how I ended up with the problem in the first place! :eek: xx
 
Tanya, I'd stick with the runners forum suggestion of 1400 a day. It makes more sense than doing the weeks cals by 7. On a day that you burn a lot, your body will take what it needs from its fat storage. On days that you don't exercise, calories taken in in excess of what the body needs will convert to fat storage.
IMO if you stick to 1400 cals per the RF and use them for healthier foods, cutting back on high sugars( this includes White carbs) and processed foods you will see results.
 
If I didn't want to keep at my running then I would have defo been back on LT by now to shift these 17lbs! Desperatly want to be under 12st7 before my next holiday which is just over 5weeks away - which means i've got to lose 6lbs :confused:

Molly I avoid white carbs anyhow, occassionally i'll have a slice of white bread and white potatoes but other than that its wholemeal/grain all the time.

I think I might make my calories 1,200-1,400 but making sure on days I do exercise i'm not going below 1,000 calories even if it means making a bigger portion for lunch and making it 2meals iykwim! Or maybe i'll get some nuts monday at shopping for a snack, theyre good & high in cals :hmm:

I'm very tired today and cold. Which is making me think my totm is due (whether I get it or not is a different question) but thats defo it and that explains my mood this week.

I also agree with the latter and sticking to your 1400 calories, the first one was a little harder to understand.

Hopefully it is the TOTM that has been causing you to feel down, and you start to feel more like your usual self soon hun.

I am sure you can shift those few lbs before your holiday, just tell that Stevie to cut out the McCoys haha.
