♥ ~ Tanya's Maintainence Diary ~ Year 2 ~♥

annnnnnnnnnnnnd i'm home :(
Had a lovely couple of days. Plenty of wine with a couple pints of cider, few whiskys and a couple shots in the mix.

Food, obviously not too good but I wasnt actually that bad main meal wise it was the picking at chocolate and a fry up (actually fried!!!) this morning consisting of 2 eggs, 3 baby sausages, 3 bacon, beans & 2 slices of toast that has been the worst.

Final blow out done, its got to be good from tuesday. Might be heading to Torquay tomorrow for the day so will be having fish & chips so tuesday its d-day - I will get to below 12st before my first holiday :)

Went to Truro on the saturday. I was very spoilt - Stevie bought me a fab new dress, a new pair of shoes aaaaaand earrings too!!!

On a bad note - i noticed on friday that my right knee had a twinge in it again and over the weekend it hasnt eased up. Hoping its ok for tuesdays run.

Oh, i'm also arguing with myself about getting a take away for tea tonight!!!  can i? can't i? lol

Sounds like you had a fab time! Glad Stevie treated you!
Hope the knee eases up- be careful the next few days.
You decided about the takeaway?

Nope! Not sure if I should indulge or not and if so, what?!!!! lol

Well you know you that you are probably going to have a little bit of a gain from holidays so is this going to make that much difference? But then when are you planning to get back on track?

I try not to think like that as its a very dangerous slope to be on.

I did have a takeaway after about an hour looking up cals etc online to no avail lol

I had just under 1/2 a chicken chow mein, 1veg spring roll and 15chips. Oh and some crackers.

Hope you enjoyed it :) Have you got menus planned from Tues?? Hope your knee is okay! xx

OH! So glad you enjoyed your weekend and made up you got spoiled - you deserve it! xx

Hope you had a nice time whatever you did :) xx

You had some bad weather for your weekend didn't you Tanya? What a shame. It wasn't very nice down here at all. Sounds as though your shopping trip to Truro was good. We're off up there weekend after next too. Did you have all that thunder and lightning on Sunday night or were you home by then? It was the loudest thunder and the most lightning I've ever experienced down here. My daughter stayed on at work in the pub for an extra half hour to hope it would pass, it was that bad. Hope you missed that. The rain did come down though didn't it!

How's your knee for your run then? Hope it's OK.

We didn't go to Torquay in the end we went for a stroll on the barbican and up the hoe and went for a scrummy lunch in a pasta bar where I had bruschetta to start and seafood spaghetti (prawns, squid & muscles) for a main. It was delish. It was the lunchtime menu so was 2 courses for £9.95 and the portion sizes were huge - i couldnt eat all of mine but stevie said his filled him up just nicely.

Bev, the weather was ok friday and saturday - had a heavy shower on saturday afternoon for about 30mins that was it. Sunday though, it hammered it down all morning untill about 12ish where it died off but there was still a drizzle in the air. We came back sunday afternoon though and yesterday it was ok here. I loved Truro, its tiny but cute isnt it :)

Guys, I am truely blessed. With still 26days to go till the 1/2marathon i've managed to raise £171 for The Alzheimers Society already. I'm overwhelmed with how much i've got already. So thankyou to you guys that have sponsored me - its a massive boost.

This morning was a struggle to get up. Woke up an hour later than I wanted to, had a runny nose & my eyes were sooo droopy but i thought nah ive got to run. Set out to do my long run of 10.73miles but just couldnt. I'm so tired.

I did today 3.38miles in 37.38mins which gave me a pace of 11m08s a mile.

I've factored in my long run this week for either friday or sunday. Going to run again tomorrow. I'm a little gutted about today cuz i wasted an energy gel :giggle: Nevermind.

Guna catch up on your threads now then heading back to bed. Will post my menus up later on :) Me and Stevie got a stone challenge - we both want to lose a stone before we go on holiday - the race is on ;) lol xx

That's a good incentive him joining in - don't get upset when he drops lbs dead easily though - you know what these men are like! (S*ds ;))

Hope you manage to sleep off whatever you're feeling. 1000mg vitamin cs and 4x400 echinacea capsules usually see me right and worked for my mother before her op when she felt like she was getting a cold!

I'm sure you'll be able to do that run later in the week when you're feeling better - don't let it get to you!! xxx

Feel much better after my nap - probably just needed more sleep which is why its a good idea for me to try and do a 'test run' on sunday with my long run. As i'll have to get up at 7am, have breakfast and get changed etc and be down to the starting area for around 8am for the 8:30am start. Good idea to run this sunday then to see how i fare up (that is, providing i don't get a shift saturday night - either way long run will happen).
