Late night

What did you think of the risotto Ali? We found it bland and DH didn't like it as there was no meat in it-lol

Yeahh, very bland! :( Shame really. My brother made it, he's tried out three recipes from the mags now and I'm glad! There is definitely going to be a lot more variety in the cooking in my house now that he has started to realise SW food isn't as boring and crappy as he claimed it was when I started!

I agree with your DH, lol, hence the lamb and green pepper curry I whipped up on Sunday ;) And then yesterday I stirred a whole load of meaty goodness into it, and today, even though I wanted to be meat free, I HAD to have it with the lamb and cauliflower curry! xxx

This is what happens when you don't write down what you're eating as you eat it! The count in my head was 12 syns before I left home, should have been 14! Oopsie daisy, won't be making that mistake again.

Walked 4km.

Thursday 09/09 - Don't know yet...

Closing fast
- 2 Weetabix (HExB) with 200ml skimmed milk (4/7 HExA) and 2 tsp sugar (2 syns)
- Water

Walked 4.6km, lost 1lb at WI. Glad it wasn't 0.5lb as that would have pissed me off! Obviously still a bit gutted that it wasn't more, but happy considering I definitely went way over syns this week.

Another 3km walked :)

Terrible breaking fast, honestly. [STRIKE]I will work out the syns I had later and share them here to kick myself up the bottom.[/STRIKE] Don't know what's for eating tomorrow, other than the tiramisu we made earlier...

Er, yeah, scratch that.

Friday

Going to get the mags right now as I have procrastinated WAY too much.

Anne/Ali: i did think the recipe looked a bit bland when i saw it glad i didn't make it, i made chicken, bacon risotto (with leak and mushroom) it was lovely but wasn't so good reheated the next day

Ali the curry and brownies look heavenly!

I don't think we'll be making the risotto again! Maybe in a much smaller quantity (we doubled the recipe for 9 of us, but still had leftovers for three days... Mum chucked the bit I was going to have last night to stop me from eating it as I have been quite constipated recently, otherwise I would have been within syns yesterday!) and definitely with some meat in there... Otherwise, no. Lol.

Oh believe me, they were heavenly! Still got some brownies left over in the fridge - don't know why! Offered my uncle some yesterday and he said 'oh no don't do that, I'm trying to lose weight!' and I said 'well they're only 30 calories each!' and his face lit up, haha :p xxx

For why_d:

Patatas bravas
Serves 4

Preheat your oven to 220C/425F/Gas Mark 7. Peel and cut 1lb 12oz/794g potatoes into bite-size cubes. Season and roast in your oven for 15-20 minutes, or unitl browned. Put a 400g can of chopped tomatoes, 1 chopped onion and 2 crushed garlic cloves in a pan and place over a medium heat. Cook for 10-15 minutes. Add 3 tsp sweet smoked paprika and 1 bay leaf and continue to cook for 5-10 minutes. Remove the potatoes from the oven and put in a warmed serving dish. Pour the sauce over the potatoes. Mix well and serve garnished with a handful of finely chopped fresh parsley.
