20 somethings

I had a Red day today.

Breakfast -- Apple and hi-fi light and cuppa

Lunch -- Fruit and SW fry up with cuppa

Dinner -- salad with chicken and ham

Snack -- hi-fi light

Syns -- 4 for light mayo in coleslaw and 1 for 2 LM Italian vegetarian sausages with lunch

Still have 10 syns left, but I'm not hungry!

The thought of doing sleeves, or any real item of clothing terrifies me! I think even a hot-water-bottle cover is too much for me just yet lol It took me a week to get the hang of that patch for my quilt!

Lucky you on the no hunger thing - I decided to have one little pork chop for dinner instead of the usual 2. I've been starving ever since - although I think it's more in my head than my belly ifkwim. Butternut squash coated in tikka spices cooked on the George came to the rescue.
Is there anything you've been unable to give up on SW despite the syns? For me it's the fat on pork chops - it's all the syns I used today but no way could I have thrown it away! (So I don't have pork chops v often - doesn't bother with lamb or beef just pork and rashers!)

No, I've basically changed everything about the way I used to eat... there's nothing now that I haven't substituted. But, if I'm in my mother's and she's doing a roast dinner...I have to have a roastie done in oil. I cannot refuse. Luckily they're only a couple of syns.
There's nothing I haven't been able to give up, but there are certain things I haven't been able to take up. Like fruit. I just don't like anything apart from apples and bananas...and those just barely. I have tried lots of different fruits, but just can't get myself to like them. Good job I like my veg. I still hate salad leaves though, which is why I will make coleslaw to eat with it.

Oh, I am back knitting at the moment, when I have finished the hot water bottle cover I might try a proper crochet project.

Looks like you have had a good food day. I wouldn't worry about not having all your syns if you don't want them. I have had 6, 8 and 9.5 for the past 3 days. you have had over 5 which'll keep you ticking.

Trying to decide what to have for breakfast tomorrow. Don't want eggs again, I had sw pancakes yesterday, going to have a full english on Sunday. I can use hea and/or heb.

I'm not a breakfast person. Never have been. I have to be up at least an hour before I think about food. I will have a cuppa as soon as I'm up, but not food. So I always keep breakfast simple. Fruit and a hi-fi light, poached eggs on toast, maybe a fry up if I get up late -- which is not often lol.

I never used to eat breakfast but I do now. I think it'll be fruit and yogurt tomorrow. Making lentil soup for lunch and salmon for tea. Ooh, then i could have cheese on toast for a snack... Mmm. I'm so obsessed by food! My Grandad is Irish so my mum needs 50 cups of tea a day else she shrivels up. That's what she told me today anyway. She is mad she started goin on about daddy long legs being fairies...

All of us Irish are mad, it's a condition.
I'm obsessed with food too.. don't think SW intended that, but my God how can you not obsess when you have to plan every meal?!

Glad your back star was starting to wonder if everything was ok, glad your feeling a bit better hopefully u will be back to good health soon x

Thanks Fran, Ch and Mandy...I am feeling much better but still don't have a full appitite back yet and I haven't planned for the weekend so I will prob be off plan today but I can make it up in time for WI, I think I'll will go to the peak district and have a walk around one of the towns there today to get myself out and I don't mind walking so I will get body magic without the sweat I think some fresh air will do me good :)

Mandy you have done so well with you crochet project!!

Normally I think about food all the time and think what can I have/want/need to take out of freezer but like has been said, it's hard not to when you have to plan each meal...

Larger my thing that I can't give up is the fat on a steak...I know it's prob gross but on the vary rare occasion (prob once every 2 months as I get it from Marks and though amazing very very expensive) I have rib eye steak and eat the lot. I also have it with their diane sauce...and chips...but I do also have mushroom, peppers, tomato and salad with it...but we'll also get a pudding too....lol!! We don't really go to restaurants any more to eat out because of my IBS and how quickly I have a reaction to something that doesn't agree with me so this is our treat.

Food will also alway be a thing for us so I am happy to have something like this when I go off plan as it's amazing and I love it but it feels a bit of a waste of syns if I have a take away as they are never as nice as this so I now try to avoid them. Some things are just worth the syns!

It's my birthday in a month and this will be the first year I won't be having a cake and I feel sad about that but hopefully I still have lots of birthdays left so I can have cake/celebrations then...well maybe not next year as I'll still be doing this but the year after I will celebrate with a big party to make up for it!! :)

Oh hun you could still have cake! I never get a birthday cake. I had one when I was 5 and it was awesome. But a birthday 3 days after christmas means if you want cake you have to have Christmas cake. I made a big chocolate one for my son this year and it was yummy. And I still got a good loss. Dont be depriving yourself.

I know what you mean about steak fat... We had steak from darts farm last week... Incredible but it would have been better with fat.

Ladies I completely feel the same about being obsessive about food. I think about it now much more than what I did than when I was 'fat'. It's ridiculous. Before I go to bed at night I'm thinking about breakfast, after breakfast I think about lunch etc. It's INSANE!
As for birthday cake, that's one treat I won't be able to give up! Nothing like a slab of hot choc fudge cake to celebrate getting old lol!

For sure jenna! Can't wait for Nate's second birthday... Cake times!

Fruit and yogurt this morning, half a syn for a cup of tea. Lentil and veg soup for lunch (although I want to eat the entire batch) and I have made the meat sauce for lasagne tomorrow because it is always better if matured for a day. So far day 4 of no chocolate is going well. Yay.

How's everyone else's weekends going? Any fun plans?

Just made a MAHOOSIVE Sunday dinner (seeing as I can't have one tomorrow because of my scan on Monday!) so feel soooo stuffed!! It was gorgeous though :) had all my syns in with it, 2 Yorkshire puddings, bit of pork crackling and some gravy :) yum! Had my mum round for dinner with us so jack got lots of nutty Nanna cuddles :)

Other than that me and jack went and met an old friend for a cuppa and he got lots of cuddles from her too! :)

Hope everyones having a great weekend! Xx

Well girls, I've been very quiet today cos I've been crocheting all day lol. I made a scarf for my 3 year old girl.. I'll post a pic from my phone in a minute.

Had a good day, foodwise, although I STILL haven't gotten around to my SE day. Had an EE day today. So that makes EE, Green, EE, Red, EE, so far lol

Breakfast -- apple and hi-fi light and cuppa using hea milk

Lunch -- SW fry up with cuppa

Dinner -- home made burgers in a wholemeal roll, with chips and mixed veg

Syns -- Hi-fi light (3 syns), 2 LM sausages (1 syn) and 2 eggs fried in oil (1 syn)

Think I might have a treat later in the form of a Galaxy Ripple (9 syns)... we'll see!

Had a power walk to the shop a few minutes ago... done the 2km trip in about 20 mins.

Wow that's gorgeous! Hope I can do something like that soon! :) really want to make a blanket or something for jack so he has something that I actually made him, would be good if I could make scarves for people for Christmas too, save some pennies! :) xx

Aww Sammy what a lucky boy getting all those cuddles! I love roast pork.. Yum! Might have to put it on the menu for next week. Sounds like you have had a nice social day :)

That scarf is so cute. I am sure she will love it. I've not done any knitting yet today. Working on the hot water bottle, the pattern coming up is lovely, hope to get a good bit done tonight.

Day 4 no chocolate has gone well. I just had cheese on toast. Lovely! Only used 1 syn so far today. So going to have quavers, syn some milk to have tea with a malted milk biscuits.

Do you do crochet, Sammy?

Fran you've had a great day, enjoy those biscuits! I'm still undecided as to what to spend my syns on.. if I spend them at all.. but I don't like having too many low syn days, because then I have no cushion when I get near target... don't want my body to get used to having so little fat/sugar until I need it to.

Can't wait until I'm able to make proper clothes. There are some really lovely patterns in the magazines I have. And there's a lovely nest of crocheted boxes that would be perfect for the bathroom or the bedroom for shelves. I might even eventually make enough boxes to store my unGodly amount of shoes lol
