I missed the Murray match (at bridge) but managed to see some of the Djokovic game and also the Berdytch/Tomic one too.
Now there's a name for the future.
Sad about Laura Robson - but she's still young so lets hope she goes away and improves her serve (far too dodgy) and does well next year.

Morning Emm

If you make a batter with oil, flour, brown sugar, spices etc and dip the chicken liver and then deep fry - it is good (apparently). I have never tasted this (as a veggie, but J loves it).

There is a very young dove sitting on the tree just outside my window having a feast on the leaves. It keeps stopping eating, cocking it's head to the side and looking in at me. I tried to get a picture, but not coming out very clear :(

Hope you have a lovely Tuesday.

As much as I love to follow Murray's progress I do find myself dozing off sometimes as there is not the joy and hilarity in the matches these days unlike the McEnroe games...Agree with you on Robson, bless her, she put up a gallant effort. Certainly think she's a name for the future.

Thanks for the recipe and I may well try it one day but it's just the thought of chicken livers. I often want to be veggie but then bacon and eggs beckon..
How sweet the dove ... as for pic.. takes me ages to post those.
Looks like you're on top of things Emm. Well done you. I like liver but rarely have it, no idea why.

Am very pleased that my efforts have shown some good results even thus far..now 191lbs so only 0.2 of a pound off the 24th June WI.
Everything coming up roses! :party0049:

Talking of McEnroe - did you catch the match tonight in the Senior Invitational Doubles?
MCENROE, John (USA) and MCENROE, Patrick (USA) versus MCNAMARA, Peter (AUS) and MCNAMEE, Paul (AUS).
It was just coming on TV as we had to go out.
The Macs won!

I got the fright of my life when I flicked over to BBC2 and saw grey/white haired guys playing tennis. Thought Murray had aged a bit!!!

Have a good day Emm and everyone :) x

Wednesday 3rd July 2013

Did a lot of odds and ends type jobs and remembered that my bro and his wife's birthdays are on the 9th so got their cards ready.
Was filling in a form for a leisure card for when I go swimming and had to find up a photo for it. The one I managed to find had me laughing my head off..talk about a miserable looking old booger!!

Murray thro' to next round YAY!! Started off a bit dicey as it seemed he didn't have much energy or feeling a bit off.. but he got into his stride in the end.

Evening meal was a surprise package.. one of those things that you put in the freezer and forget to put a label on..:giggle: .. turned out to be a chicken korma that I had made and was very delish.

Breakfast - Rakussen's Crackers 4 + L.C.Cheese 1 + Egg hard boiled 1
Lunch - Brazil Nuts 40g + Raspberries 75g
Evening - Chicken Korma home made + Rice 75g
Supper - Digestive Biscuits 2
Extra - Milk 180ml

Thursday 4th July 2013

Lovely day here, very warm but a nice cool breeze which made it super!
Massage this afternoon as it was cancelled from Monday. She did a lot of work on my arm and shoulder area as it has been terrible the last few days... now feeling much easier.

Phone call from my brother to say my cousins wife has died.. not that we knew them much but good to be able to send our condolences plus we are putting money together for some flowers. Did ask my Br if he was going and could I go with them but was met with a very uncomfortable and awkward lot of mumbling... anyway turns out they are the only ones going so it's not as if I will be the only one that is missing.
Received my new bus pass today and as I had put that they would use my old photo had a right laugh when I saw it...looks like I had been pulled thro' a hedge backwards and grumpy at that!

Bought a chicken today that was "buttered and in a roasting bag". Trouble is I didn't realise that the packaging had to be removed first and stuck the whole thing in the oven. At least it didn't affect the taste and was absolutely delish.

Menu very good today.

Breakfast - Scan Bran 2 + Egg hard boiled 1 + S.Cream 20g
Lunch - Cheese 45g + Salad + S.Cream 20g
Snack - Brazil Nuts 30g
Evening - Chicken 110g + Peas 100g + Mash instant 20g + Tom. Ketchup 25g
Supper - Digestive Biscuits 2
Extra - Milk 180ml

Friday 5th July 2013

At last some really good weather!
And.. my window cleaner came.. not getting them done very often now since he hurt his back but he's a nice fella.
Handy Andy..actually his name is Adrian.. came today. Put up my curtain track and pelmet rail in the bedroom, new shower head, put a stabiliser on my cabinet in the bathroom and then tidied up the front garden..unfortunately another one who doesn't know which are weeds or plants so he cleared even the lovely plants that were in there!!! Very annoying!
Got some of these Scan bran crackers that I keep reading about. Ordered them online and mistook the packet size and now I have enough to feed the five thousand.. another little faux pas..:giggle:
Had 3 at lunch time and they are so filling I could hardly finish the last one.

Murray in the middle or should I say ..near the end of his game and they have to shut the roof.. very disappointing for him..

Back soon..
