2015 and It's Now or Never!

Yay for Murray win and yay for you Emm :) x...

Thanks so much.. you're making me blush!

I wish Murray would stop giving me heart attacks though. The quarter final was really stressful and the semi not much better.
Let's hope he plays well in the final - otherwise I can see Djokovic totally blasting him.

Hope you're enjoying the sunshine that seems to have finally got to the UK. Let's hope it stays for a few days.

I agree totally..and as for that stupid fella kept on about closing the roof..obviously a ploy to get a break and to put Murray off, not that it worked anyway!

Been too hot for me but it's nice to have for a while..if that makes sense!

Saturday 6th July 2013

Needed to go out today.. started to get that closed in feeling so went to Morrisons for lunch. Had my usual chicken dish which was great. As I stood in the queue waiting to pay, the man in front of me only had a small plate with a cake on it which he proceeded to start to eat. As we got nearer the till he gobbled the last mouth full and turned round and left..cheeky s*d! In so doing he had left the plate on the tray ledge which I had to remove which made it look as if it was me.

Called in at Argos and bought a little hand held vacuum cleaner so I can keep my lovely new carpet clean in between my home help calling.

Menu went well but then I started to get twinges in my kidney which often is a sign that I will have some bladder probs so had to add a drink of cranberry juice which is excellent for clearing that but it did mean my carbs are up a bit. Hope that won't have any bad effect as this morning I was 188.6 which is where I was an 17th June.

Breakfast - Oats 35g + Honey 1 Tablspn
Lunch - Morrisons Chicken with carrots, peas and mash
Snack - Brazil Nuts 30g + Cranberry Juice 120ml
Evening - Cheese 40g + Salad + S.Cream 15g
Extra - Milk 120ml

Yay for it coming off again. You and I should both be called Yoyo! Hope you have a lovely weekend and that the cranberry juice does the trick.

Deffo hope the cranberry juice does the trick. Bladder/water problems are NOT nice.

Still Plodding On!

Cheeky man in Morrisons ...Definitely have as much cranberry as you need. Did you know you can get cranberry tablets that do the job for urinary probs? good because you don't need to sink gallons of juice!

So what time is the final?

Enjoy the day Emm. Weather glorious :) x

Morning Emm - hope all is well with you and that the sun is shining down your way.

Have a lovely Sunday

So what time is the final?
2pm UK time. Or at least that's when they come on court to warm up.

Enjoy your sunday Emm - and enjoy the tennis. I'll be glued to the tv.
Just off to finish the cleaning, then pack an overnight bag - and then I can rest.
Heading back to the UK tomorrow to collect my mum and bring her back with me.
Visit could well be a challenge as her carer has said she is even more immobile than she eas just 8 weeks ago.

Good idea about the tabs thanks Bubbly!... now why didn't I think of that! :D
Just using up a carton of it at the mo' but it was bought before I took to low carbing properly.
Weather lovely but a bit too much for me so I tend to stay indoors.

Yes!!!! - well done you - that's GOT to feel great :)

Certainly does Caroline..been on cloud nine all day!

Took a couple of parcels to the P.O. one was another sale on Amazon, a book which was quite weighty. I had put it in one of those padded envelopes. The cost would have been £8 which I was very shocked at so the man at the desk rewrapped it for me so it would cost less... wasn't that kind of him?! Saved me £2.40.
Called in at Lloyds bank to lodge a cheque and complained yet again about their lack of concern for the disabled. I have asked them so many times to put a chair near the cash desks so we don't have to stand in the queue without any result. This time I shall be writing to them...it's not as if there is no room for it.
Then went and had my car washed and as usual when they move it they pull the hand brake on so hard I can never get it off. Yanked on it really hard and now my shoulder is aching like mad..

Of course finished off by a visit to Tesco for a few more veg etc.

Made a chicken and veg pasta for this evening. .. very delish altho' again I used too much pasta.

Breakfast - Allbran 30g + Milk 90ml
Lunch - Scan Bran 3 + Butter 10g + Cheese 50g
Evening - Chicken and Pasta (incl. Pepper, carrots, peas, cheese sauce)
Supper - Brazil Nuts 40g

Morning Emm - John does that with the handbrake all the time to the point where I keep threatening not to let him drive my car.

Absolutely brilliant on the weight loss - no wonder you are so pleased with yourself :)

Have a good Tuesday

That's something that Sandra has to contend with as well..makes her hopping mad too.

Tuesday 9th July 2013

Another hot day and went for a swim this afternoon. Had some really lovely chats with several people.. makes all the difference being able to have a chat now and again. That's the one thing that can be very hard when living alone. Sometimes it can be a week or more that I only get to say thankyou to a cashier in a super market.
Finished off with the usual Jacuzzi and steam which I really enjoy too.

Have an attack of hives which are proving to be a right pain! Had a shower the minute I got home plus used aloe vera moisturiser on my arm and am trying to drink as much as poss... just hope it doesn't keep me awake again tonight.

Diet went well in fact cals are well down but I don't feel like eating anything else especially as it will mean the carbs going up.

Breakfast - Banana
Lunch - Ham 76g + Eggs hard boiled 2
Evening - Chicken & Veg. Pasta
Supper - WW Fromage Fraise Blackberry 100g
Extra - Milk 120ml + Cran. Juice 150ml

Well done for swimming Emm, I'm impressed! Do you walk in the pool as well as swim? It's pretty difficult to do! X

Thursday 11th July 2013

Yesterday was a very bad day. I had such a bad attack of hives the night before which kept me awake all night. Just dropped off for a couple of hours about 6am. Woke feeling quite poorly and unable to do very much at all. Home help came in to do my cleaning and so had a nice chat with her which livened me up somewhat. Managed to get out to chemist and bought some antihistamine tabs and they helped immensely last night. Needless to say diet went well down the drain but today have got back to about 50%...Tomorrow I shall be back on track..all being well!
Had a phone call from my sister after a very long silence because of her taking the hump over my not wanting to discuss the "amazing" events of old coins which I consider a lot of tosh and said so at the time.. :D
Also phone call from my D which was lovely. She and her sister are getting on really well these days after many a year of being at loggerheads over various things. Seems at last they have been able to get to a point of live and let live..
Only thing about that is when I hear of them making visits to each other etc. I do get very overwhelmed with sort of sad feelings of being left out all the time but I know that's just a fact of life, after all staying or being with me is such a trying situation with me not being able for moving around and out and about.
Had my diabetic eye screening test this afternoon... bloomin' things! Hate those drops that are put in the eyes first... swear I won't go next year!! ..and then I forgot (again!) and went straight out into the brilliant sunshine. Not a good thing to do.

Not recording any diet info today but will tomorrow when back on track.

Hope you all had a good day.

Morning Emm - the eye drops are a nightmare, aren't they? I am such a coward when it comes to anything to do with anyone touching mine (or my teeth come to that).

Hope you are enjoying the weather. We had a lovely drive in the Trossachs with my car roof down yesterday - and think we will "do" the Clyde Valley today after I've attacked some of the housework.

Have a good weekend
