Much better sleep last night thanks Mo..
..and today is good so far despite getting up to find my heating is not working.
Phoned the emergency services and they should be sending someone today.

Just received a phone call from my DD Carol to say that I am now a great grandma for sixth time! Her oldest son is now the proud father of a little boy... and he's so good with children that I'm sure he'll be a super dad.

This is the border out the front of these flats which I keep hoping to get redone.

As you can see the Elephants Ears (Bergenia) has vastly overgrown the border and will continue to do so unless cut back frequently and my little primroses (the other end of the border) continue to flower no matter what.. and there's those lovely pink flowers that grow on little clumps of corms which I can never remember the name of but are really beautiful. Then there are Iris and roses that need attention too.
Writing this has made me more determined to get someone to do it for me.

Hello .Im so glad you had a better sleep. I hope they get the heating fixed for you. Your border looks super. its a shame there isnt someone local who would tend it for yoiu without all this quible over ownership.

Sorry you are still having pain and hope that it settles without you having to have the operation re-done. They initially said they were going to have to re-do it, (or am I getting mixed up)?

Heating all fixed thanks Mo .. it's a combi boiler and this happens about 2-3 times a year.. apparently due to low surge or something like that.
Not a very super border at the moment methinks! I shall keep trying...

No name as yet..well as far as I know.
and yes they did say that they were going to redo it but as I felt okay he decided not to!
Wish they would and get it over and done with as I feel that it is constantly hanging over my head.

Saturday 8th March 2014

So after having had quite a reasonable nights sleep I woke up about 7am, decided to stay in bed just for a wee while and the next thing I find is that it's 11.55 and I just hear the last couple of minutes of the C&W music!! Anyway the following gardening prog is good as the panel are very witty and funny so it's a real hoot to listen to.
Not done much else altho' I have tried to summon up the energy to make another quiche and got some of the ingredients ready but have just felt too lethargic to get on with it..

.. even after having all that sleep!
Another day tomorrow! ..

Thanks Mel.. not really feeling poorly just a lack of energy..much better today.

Seeing that untidy border every day would annoy me.

Hope the heating gets fixed althou they do say we are in for some lovely weather this week so you may not need it.

Thanks Mary .. Heating was fixed within a couple of hours. Just takes about 5mins flat as all they have to do is switch something back on as it automatically goes off on a low surge.
Lovely day it is indeed but that "breeze" is rather cold.. me sitting at open window.

Sunday 9th March 2014

Woke reasonably early today for a change. Finally got round to making the quiche which turned out great. Not done much else apart from a quick tidy.

I get a sort of claustrophobia now and again and I must go out somewhere tomorrow just to get out of these four walls.. .. trouble is where to go?! My choices are very limited being that I can't walk very far... maybe I'll go for a drive out into the countryside.

Totals good today: Cals 1476 Carbs 140 which includes 116 cals for work done.

Monday 10th March 2014

Looked really nice outside this morning and then I opened the window and the wind was bitterly cold! So did something very exciting and took my "old" duvet to the launderette to wash. Could wash it at home but my drier is too small to finish it off and rather than haul a wet duvet down to the car it's better to do the lot at the launderette. Nice young lady assistant three who practically did it all for me.

Have had a bad stabbing pain all day in my pm site and have wondered whether to go to A&E but am hoping I can put up with it until tomorrow when they are expecting me to report back about it... all very worrying.. :sigh: .. Keeping my fingers crossed things won't get any worse.

Sorry but too fedup and tired to post anymore..going off to have a snooze..

It must be worrying Emm - so I am glad that he put your mind at rest.

I know what you mean about needing to go out - sometimes I could do with a weekend in after a busy week, but end up stir crazy

Hello Emmeline. I hope the snooze has helped. Im so glad it is tomorrow that you have more contact with the hospital. If you think the pain is stronger or more persistent then please either go to A&E or ring an ambulance. Thinking of you.

Didn't get to have a snooze as I just couldn't rest as the stabbing pain continued so took myself off to the A&E. Was seen almost immediately and in no time was hooked up to all the usual equipment in the emergency dept. However, after some time the doctor decided that the pain is due to the pacemaker settling in and is quite normal so gave me some strong painkiller intravenously plus some cocodamol to take as well and I was discharged. Despite that the pain is still on going ... don't know what else I can do about it.
I am going to try not to do anything that will put the least bit of strain on it and see if that helps altho' the fact is bending over to put my slippers on was when this first started this morning. :sigh:

... having a bit of a rant tbh... so annoying to be constantly told that this is just "to be expected" etc... apart from it being so fxxxxing painful!!!... and added to my other pains that I have to contend with!!!
