Advice for the PrawnchopSuey

Right, going to post today's planned food diary as I won't get on here later...

:) Friday - green

Breakfast - banana

Lunch - mugshot, apple

Snack - fibre plus bar

Dinner - Mixed bean chilli with pittas (HexB x 2) and cheese (HexA)

House is looking clean, just want to give the kitchen / utility a bit of a sweep and hide some stuff in the garage!! Think it's going to be a fab weekend :)
Hope you all have a good one too :)

Have an amazing weekend honey x

enjoy xx

Wow, well I did have an amazing weekend and fully enjoyed seeing my friends and having a good time.
We went to York races on Saturday (I won £6 more than I placed in bets so that's almost as good as a million ;)) and had a lovely country walk on Sunday before people had to get trains etc.

The bad news is...takeaway and wine on Friday, meal out plus wine plus copious amounts of lager on Saturday, big fat pub roast dinner on Sunday.... unsurprisingly, 1lb on this week.

I am hoping that it is mostly water retention from the alcohol as I have not been drinking much at all since starting SW. Therefore, I am not going to take away by Club 10 sticker as I WILL have it back next Monday...

Trouble is, I have so many things coming up between now and Christmas that I am worried about losing anything at all.... I will be eating out tonight and tomorrow as I am hosting colleagues from France, will be eating out again on Saturday as me and OH are going to Sheffield to see Jason Manford, weekend after have guests staying, weekend after a hen do, week after travelling for work so more restaurants, travelling again the week after that....
I guess I am just going to have to do my best, sticking to free meals the days when I cook at home (which I pretty much always do when I cook anyway), and trying to make sensible eating choices when eating out, which is fine when it's once a week but harder 4 nights in a row... At least I won't have alcohol to contend with when I am working...

I am reducing my short term targets (seeing as I have failed epicly at the ones I set a fortnight ago...) since 1lb a week is unlikely to happen. All I want for Christmas is to be 11 stone something :) :)

Sounds like you had an amazing weekend. I know what you mean about events coming up - I think I've got something going on at least once a week now - including a meal out Saturday and Sunday next weekend.
You've got a plan though - and if you stick to it I'm sure you'll be fine.
Why don't you try a few success express days when you've got nothing on? They definitely helped me last week

Think of it this way...at least 3 big meals a day x 7 days= 21 meals to plan for and 3 of those unexpected meals /unplanned choices.
If you stick to plan for 18 of those meals and make as healthy a choice as you can on 3 you should still get a loss or STS.
You can do it and save a few of your syns for those meals out.

Thanks, that's so true Meli - 18 on plan meals from 21 is a pretty good success rate, and I've generally got SW breakfast and lunch sussed. I can do this :)

Sarah, I have been looking back over your Success Express days last week and am thinking I might have a few days on it later in the week... If you have a Hex as part of a meal does it have to take up some of the space of the 1/3 free food? Or the superfree? Or can you sneak it on top of the perfectly ratio'd meal?!

The HEX is in addition to the 1/3 free / 2/3 superfree
And don't forget, if you go for old-style success express, the superfree includes Quorn, eggs and FF cottage cheese/yoghurt etc (basically anything which is free on both plans)

:) Monday - green

Breakfast - banana, pear, apple, fibre plus bar (HexB)

Lunch - M&S tuna layered salad (HexB for tuna, 4 syns for salad cream?)

Dinner - ASK penne Giardina - pasta with tomato sauce with green beans, courgette, onion, pepper, with parmesan (HexA + 8 syns for oil in sauce?)
Kit kat - 5.5 syns

Total syns: 17.5

Going to do some aerobics now and hopefully do a slendertone session after my shower if I don't fall asleep first... :)

Hiya PCS, sounds like you had a wonderful weekend, 1lb is no biggie, you can loose that really easily, I have faith. Great advice about the 21 meals etc. sounds good to me. xx

Thanks Pammy, I think you have more faith in me than I do in myself right now!
This morning the scales were saying the pound had already gone, so hopefully I can encourage them to keep saying that for the rest of the week :)

:) Tuesday - green

Lunch - tomato, mozzarella (HexA), spinach and pesto (4 syns?) sandwich (HexB x 2 for bread)

Dinner - seafood pie in restaurant - fish (6 syns?), mash, cheese (HexA), creamy sauce (6 syns?), peas

Total syns: 16?

Despite eating out and going over the syn limit I don't feel too bad about today since the overall quantity of food eaten was not massive and I don't think I ate more than 1200 calories in total (I know SW isn't about that, but still...)
Going to whang the slendertone on before bed.

Tomorrow = back on plan, no more eating out until Saturday thank goodness!

There you go, nice big wee and a trump in the morning and away it goes :giggle:. Seriously I find when I've had an "off plan" time the weight does go when you get back on track 'cos the majority is water and bloat, its the getting back on I'm stuggling with
Is the slendertone toning? I have a powerplate and keep meaning to get on it again... Not sure where my willpower is at the moment, you've not seen it have you, its looks like me but is 2 stone slimmer, 2 inches taller, figure like Angelina and face like Nigella, infact looks nowt like me :p

Thanks Pammy, you do make me chuckle!!
I do think the slendertone is toning the muscles. However, it can't burn fat as it isn't calorie-burning or anything, so I am a long way from a nice flat washboard stomach! It is hard underneath though if I poke it ;)

:) Wednesday - green WOOHOO BACK ON PLAN!! :)

Breakfast - banana, pear and apple

Lunch - tomato pasta mugshot, apple

Snack - fibre plus bar (HexB)

Dinner - jacket potato with baked beans and cheese (HexA)
Solero (5 syns)
fat free fromage frais with sweetener

Total syns: 5

Did my Steps DVD this evening and am sitting with my slendertone on as I type!

Well done for your day back on plan!! Now we just need to last until Saturday...
Hmm... think I need to pinch some of your exercise enthusiasm!! I will start back on my EA Active Wii 30day challenge on the weekend... then maybe my tummy will be hard if I poke it rather than wobbling around like jelly lol!!

Oh, there's plenty of jelly wobbling on top I can assure you!
Going to shoot over to your diary now to see how your 100% went - GO US, WE CAN DO IT, only two more days 'til Saturday! :)

Well in that case I'd better update it quickly!!

:) Thursday - green

Breakfast - banana, pear and apple

Lunch - tomato pasta mugshot, apple

Snack - fibre plus bar (HexB), pear
ryvitas with philidelphia (HexB + HexA)

Dinner - quorn sausages, peas, sweet and normal potato mash
fat free fromage frais, sweetener and kit kat (5.5 syns)

Total syns: 5.5

Done Slendertone and going to do gym ball later.
I'm watching this Sky 3 documentary about Size Zero. Interesting stuff, but IMO it's equally if not more unattractive than excess weight. I find it a bit creepy hearing a man say that he would prefer his girlfriend thinner when she already has a 26 inch waist! Surely that's as bad as those men that feed their girlfriends until they can't leave the house?!
Well, there's definitely no danger of me ending up that thin!! Size 12-14 and I would be over the moon! :)

That was on the other day i belive....the girlfreind was blonde with a bad haircutt and a red top?
I found it interesting and felt very sorry for the other guy whos gf was obsessed with magazines. He looked so sad to have lost the woman he loved yet she was still there.
I love watching anything like that!

Don't know if I could have watched that - sounds creepy. It is so sad that people feel that's what they need to aspire to.
I'm with you on the 12-14 target - I have no desire whatsoever to be a size 10 even... I want to keep my curves!!

That's the one, Katie! It was creepy indeed. I was thinking 'surely you'd rather have a girlfriend with a pretty smile and a nice personality than a girlfriend you can fit one arm around??'
Seriously, he put one arm around her and was all proud to the camera at how thin she is and that's how a woman should be. And he was hardly a stunner himself!

And the girlf who had a lovely boyfriend but became obsessed with size 0 after they got engaged and was now bullimic, really made me want to give her a good slap. I know it's a psychological disorder not necessarily a choice, but she clearly loved the attention of people trying to make her eat and telling her how thin she was. And her poor (not bad looking) boyfriend was so sad and she didn't really seem to care that much...

Oh I watch all sorts of freak show documentaries; monkey babies, animal people, feral children, baby beauty pageants, gypsy weddings... Guilty pleasures eh?!
