Advice for the PrawnchopSuey

I can only really go off last nights and to be honest they all annoyed me !! They are all so keen to do better than the rest, that they don't even understand what teamwork is!
You're so right - to leave their jobs just to look like complete idiots on TV can't be a sensible decision surely? I certainly can't see anyone taking Melissa on anytime soon!

Ha ha naughty PrawnchopSuey getting your word starred out!! :D :D

I have been putting off reading your diary as last week I saw some reference to Apprentice and had sky +’ed it so immediately clicked off until I had caught up! Well now I have and YYAAAAY Melissa has gone! She wasn’t very gracious in defeat though was she?! “The Universe speaks louder than I do!” ha ha love it! :)

I also really like Liz – she’s professional and just gets on with the job at hand – and I would LUUURVE to look like her too ha ha! The girl’s got it all! I did like Stella as well but she seemed to lose it a bit last night for me!

Well done on your losses since I have been AWOL! Sounds like your exercise is really starting to pay off along with your food choices of course! I am loving Bootcamp at the minute – really sets me up for the day and helps me make good choices through the day thinking I don’t want to ruin the good work! Not so good on the other days I have to say!!!

I went and got some Scan Brans on Tuesday as well and tried one on their own! :yuk: Going to look up some recipes to try to incorporate them into because they are horrid (to me anyway!)

Good luck for the rest of the week!

Hellloooo Kat!

“The Universe speaks louder than I do!”

Well, nothing speaks louder than she does quite frankly!

I would LUUURVE to look like her too

Ditto! :)

Stella as well but she seemed to lose it a bit last night for me!

I like her too, she did lose her rag a bit but that whippersnapper Stuart IS pretty annoying. She did really well the week she was in charge of the boys though.

I'm agreeing with you an awful lot, but I also agree that ScanBran is VILE! It's like chewing on thick cardboard. It's meant to be good for weight loss, but so far it's blocking me up more than anything (TMI - sorry). I am smothering it in cottage cheese but it's hard work, hence I'm only having 3 as a HexB!
On the up side, they do fill me up, purely because I lose the will to chew after a bit ;)

I am slacking off a bit this week and really want to get down to 11'7 or 11'10 ish by Christmas so that the festivities don't push me back into the 12 stone range. Don't know where I'm going to find some renewed motivation from though...

I'm the same - I would love to work really hard to lose another 10lb at least by xmas but seem to be veering off track and can't keep myself going a whole week.
And so far it's showing - had a peek on the scales this morning and was 2.5lbs up!!! Hopefully was a blip and some of it shifts by Saturday!

I had another picking session last night. I stay on track all day with no problem and then as soon as I get home on an evening it all goes Pete Tong :(

:) Thursday - green

Breakfast - banana, apple, pear

Lunch - tomato pasta mugshot, 2 scanbran (HexB - almost!) with cottage cheese

Snack - carrot, pear, homemade biscuit (5 syns), Kit Kat (5.5 syns)

Dinner - Italian pasta salad (HexB for oil - I'm sure there's loads of syns in there too but I can't bring myself to find out :( OH keeps buying these ready-made tubs of stuff for work and then doesn't take them to work so they just sit in the fridge until they go out of date and he bins them. It annoys me for 2 reasons. Firstly, I hate wastage, so I feel almost obliged to eat them. Secondly, I like it and it's a really easy, lazy option, so I eat them. Grrr. I don't touch the creamy looking chicken and bacon ones though...
Kit Kat (5.5 syns)
Crisps (4 syns)
Solero (5 syns)

Aaargh, I am such a pig :(
I'm looking at 1lb gain this week so far. Tonight I'm off to Frankie and Benny's for a hen do, so it's not looking good for the rest of the week...

Don't worry about it honey, could have gone a lot worse.
Hope you have a lovely time at Frankie and Bennies - have you had a look at the menu to decide what to have?

I was supposed to go last weekend but didn't as I felt yucky - I had planned to save my HEX's and go green and have mozarella and tom salad (HEXAx2) then pasta arrabiatta (HEXBx2 for oil)
I know you're pretty good when you go out though so I'm sure you'll be fine!
Have a lovely time - and don't drink too many cocktails!!

Well, I'm driving so that will save me the drink syns at least!
Good idea to try and have a squiz at the menu beforehand, I'll see if I can find it on t'internet :)

That is good - they do such lovely cocktails there so very difficult to resist!

Well, Frankie and Benny's was OK, had mozzarella and tomato salad to start, then black and blue pasta (penne with cajun chicken, blue cheese sauce and rocket). It was very rich and very salty tasting though so didn't get close to finishing it.
Saturday made beef kofta curry for my OH and my mum who came to visit.... I fried up some quorn meatballs for me instead of beef, so it was an OK day for syns.

Yesterday went out for a massive Sunday dinner, which was nice but I think I must have eaten too much or something, because at about 6pm last night I started to feel nauseous, which led to vomiting and diarrhea for half the night :(

Still feel quite rough today, probably tiredness from an interrupted night's sleep, but on the upside have managed an STS this morning when I definitely deserved a gain this week!!

Your weekend sounds fab apart from your bad tummy last night,
How was the hen night - did the bride-to-be enjoy and get very drunk?!

I've found that when I've eaten rich or greasy food over the last few weeks I've felt very nauseous - plus my IBS plays up and I always get a yucky tummy then. So I think it might just be the contrast between eating well and then eating something a bit too rich ?? Who know's!

Hope you feel better today and your Monday flies by... x

I feel really ill when I eat unhealthy stuff now. I went for a Chinese buffet with my friend a couple of weekends ago and even though I enjoyed it I felt so crap all night. Hope you're feeling ok today.xx

Hope you're feeling better today x

Thank you ladies, I feel much better today, I guess it was just one of those things...

:) Monday - green

Breakfast - none

Lunch - grape and melon fruit pack

Snack - banana, chocolate muffin (10 syns?)

Dinner - wholemeal pasta with homemade sauce (onion, aubergine, courgette, peppers, sweetcorn, passata, herbs) and grated cheese (HexA)

Well, I didn't do too well on the Hexs so I don't know if it really counts as 100%, but onwards and downwards.

Sausage and BNS mash tonight, tomato and basil risotto tomorrow, jacket potato on Thursday :)
I think I might need to start cooking as soon as I get in from work as that has been my danger zone recently where I've started picking at baaaad things! We also had a grand total of 4 trick-or-treaters so there's a lot of baked goods left!!

Well done on your 100%ish day yesterday!
Glad you're feeling better...

We only had one trick or treater - out with his mum. I'd bought treat size chocs though so don't feel so bad they're left over... as long as I can keep to a max of 2 a day!

:) Tuesday - green

Breakfast - banana, apple, pear

Lunch - leftover pasta and veg sauce
1 Quality Street (2 syns)

Snack - fibre plus bar (HexB), carrot

Dinner - BNS mash (mashed with phili - HexA) and quorn sausages (fried in oil - HexB)
1 Quality Street (2 syns)

Snack - velvet crunch crisps (4 syns)

Total syns: 8

Did Steps DVD and slendertone too, so a good, proper 100% day :)

Woohoo well done on another 100% day!

I've never tried BNS mashed, tend to have it roasted - presume you boil it first? How long does it take?x

Yep, I chop it and boil it - take longer to prep than potato but cooks quicker (about 10mins). And it's really nice and filling :)

It makes me feel like I'm being much healthier than if I had mashed potato but I'm sure there's very little difference! I've become quite partial to quorn sausages though, and meat sausages don't really appeal any more so no temptation there!
