Advice for the PrawnchopSuey

Hi hun, just a quick hello glad to see your still doing well

Two tins of chocs?! You should've stayed in York, would've saved a fortune!! Good job there's none left, those big tins are exactly the sort of thing that lead me to munch mindlessly for hours then feel guilty when I see a huge pile of wrappers :(
Nice to hear from you Pammy - how are you getting on with WW?

:) Wednesday - green

Breakfast - melon and grape fruit pack

Lunch - tomato pasta mugshot, 3 scan bran (HexB) with cottage cheese

Snack - 2 pears, fibre plus bar (HexB), Quality Street (2 syns)

Dinner - tomato and basil risotto with feta cheese (HexA x 2)
Quality Street (2 syns)
Solero (5 syns)

Total syns: 9

Steps DVD done, slendertone done, bish bash bosh for second day 100% :)

Oh, and I'm glad Paloma went this evening - I didn't think she'd be fired for a while because she is so calm and collected, but I think Alan Sugar took a disliking to her superiority complex! I love my Wednesday sofa evenings!!! :)

:) Thursday - green

Breakfast - banana, pear, apple

Lunch - tomato pasta mugshot, 3 scan bran (HexB) with cottage cheese
Very mini Mars bar (4 syns?)

Snack - carrot, pear, velvet crunch crisps (4 syns)

Dinner - massive portion of jacket potato with spaghetti hoops with grated cheese (HexA)
Fromage frais, sweetener, mini dairy milk (4 syns), chocolate buttons (4 syns)

Total syns: 16

One syn over, but I had spare from yesterday so it's OK ;)
I do eat huge quantites though, I think reducing my portion size is something I need to work on. I just have a really irrational fear of being hungry, so I think I overcompensate by having massive meals.

Was going to have stuffed squash for dinner but made a BNS soup instead for after the fireworks tomorrow!! Got to pick up some sparklers tomorrow - I love bonfire night :) :)

Oooh we've got sparklers too - but the weather forecast is rubbish for today.
We're really lucky as our local park do a huge firework display on Sunday - but it gets really crowded, but we are able to watch it perfectly and at height from our spare bedroom window - hubby will want hot dogs so I'll have to think of a low syn alternative...
Oh and I must make sure I lock the cat in and put the TV on loud - he is not a fan of the fireworks

Right, gulp, I'm back.

Now it all went wrong at the weekend. OH persuaded me to buy some new scales, as in all honesty I did know that mine were 'generous' as weighing at Boots now and then always added a few pounds.

Stepped on the new scales and it flashed up 173.4lb. So 6.4lbs up on the old ones. ABSOLUTELY GUTTED. Had a bit of a tantrum, crying and everything. Ridiculous I know and OH was stating the obvious that I haven't actually GAINED that much in one trip to Argos, but the numbers really upset me as that's a third of my SW success gone just like that. I guess that psychologically it was a massive blow and made me realise that I am still very close to obesity and have another 2 stone to lose, which even if I am 100% is going to take another 6 months or more because I know that I am not a fast loser and 1lb a week as an average is the best I can do.

Then on Sunday I flew to Belgium for work and proceeded to eat and drink with a vengeance...
To be honest, where I had a choice (evening meals at restaurants) I did stick to SW-ish food, but I drank copious amounts of lager each evening and at lunch time the supplier I was working with provided baguette slices spread with various stuff and I couldn't really get out of that (and it was nice, and I was already drinking thousands of syns, so ***k it...).

Anyhow, last night, I landed at Manchester airport and bought a not-very-healthy dinner to have on the train home. And halfway through a tub of spicy couscous salad, bottle of apple juice and a bag of hula hoops I realised that crisps really aren't that nice, and that I prefer to eat SW-food and home-made salads and meals after all. I don't know if the junk food and overeating is just some messed up self-punishment thing or what but I know I don't need it and don't need to be stuffed full of food all the time to feel OK. I don't know why the urge to do it sneaks up but there's no reason or excuse for it, I just have to be stronger than it.

As a result I am now on a mission to stick to plan 100% until Christmas day and to make an effort to cook new things and be a bit more adventurous. Maybe the fact that I have been eating very same-y lazy stuff for weeks while I have only been cooking for one has been a factor in me cheating so much recently??

Going to erase all my ticker and stuff and start from scratch, as I can't bear the thought of taking 7lb off my progress, and I shouldn't have to either because I HAVE lost 23lbs in 24 weeks, it's just that the start and end mark have shifted slightly now.

And my new goal is to be below the 170lb mark by Christmas - déjà bloody vu!

(Not off to a good start though as a post-Belgium WI this morning said 176.2... hoping it's all the alcohol and flying which have caused water retention, but we'll see come Monday :) )

Week 21: -4lb
Week 22: -1lb
Weeds 23 and 24: STS

Weeks 1-4: -3lb :D
Week 5-8: -7lb :D
Week 9-12: -3lb :D
Week 13-16: -4lb :D
Week 17-20: -1lb :D
Week 21-24: -5lb :D

We all deserve a treat every now and then and the important thing is to get back on plan and keep going until the next cock up and the cycle repeats itself. We will get there in the end :)
Welcome back- we are both on a mission to lose those 2 stones!

just keep in mind that you're right! you HAVE lost 23lb! just a shifting of the posts. you can do it! (annoying as hell tho)

I'd been wondering where you'd got to...
I really feel for you hun, it's so horrible that there was such a difference on the scales but it's true - you HAVE lost all that weight, and I think starting from scratch is a good idea - and doesn't dismiss all that hard work you've been doing.
Anyway you've had your blow out, so once you start being 100% again hopefully it'll shake your body into losing again.

Good idea to try some new things - I've really enjoyed cooking new recipes the last couple of weeks. So have a look on here, make up a recipe folder and look through recipe books and list some new things you want to try. Might be worth you throwing in some EE or Red days to give yourself a change too.

Either way - you have done amazingly well, and you can continue to do the same.

((HUGE HUGS))

Minimins isn't even letting me thank any of you or rep you now.... I must've been REALLY bad ;)

Today's plan - green:

Already eaten:

Breakfast - banana, apple

Lunch - 5 scan bran (HexB) with cottage cheese, tomato pasta mugshot, grapes and melon

Snack - apple, alpen light bar (half of HexB)

Plan to eat this evening:

Cheesy chips (HexA), fried egg and baked beans
Alpen light bar (other half of HexB)
fromage frais and chocolate buttons (4 syns)

Which will be a total of 4 syns.... Don't plan to do any exercise tonight though as it's TV night and also I have OH home until 8.30 as his ridiculous hours of overtime have stopped for the moment. :( for him but :) for me!!!

I need you following me with a big stick!

Well last night went OK, amended my diary because I had a few more syns but feel back in control. Scales down to 175 so hope some of the Belgian lager is leaving the system! :)

OK, can't edit at work, they've got some blocker that means I don't see any pics and apparently from now on can't thank or rep or edit or see my sig pics.... Oh well, maybe that's a hint that I should be working ;)

Last night I had just one alpen light bar (3 syns) and as my second Hexb had a wholemeal pitta with peanut butter (5 syns).
No fromage frais or chocolate - I don't trust myself with the chocolate at the min...

So total syns for Wednesday: 8

Plan for today - green:

Breakfast: apple and banana

Lunch - 5 scan bran with philidelphia (HexA), tomato pasta mugshot, apple

Snack - apple, alpen light bar (half HexB)

Dinner - pasta with passata, onion, peppers and sweetcorn and grated cheese (HexA)
Alpen light bar (half HexB)
Chocolate buttons (4 syns)

Might well spend a few more syns on cheese than just the 2 HexAs, but still think today will be a good 100% day :)

Definitely keep that stick on standby! Thank you :)

Well today went exactly to plan - day 2 100%.

No exercise though so am not doing great on that this week but am planning badminton tomorrow and squash at some point over the weekend. I am counting Monday and Tuesday as a body magic session too as I was walking round warehouses all day and clambering up ladders which is much more than I usually do in my sedentary office job.

It's so windy and rainy up tonight! The wind is making the letterbox rattle and it's really scary, like there's someone knocking constantly at the door... The cat pulled off some of the foam padding / lining stuff last year so I blame him. Although he seems to be sleeping through it no problem! No doubt he will come up in a few minutes and join me on the bed :)

Night folks x

Food looking good... don't forget to aim to try some different recipes too...

Well, it's a lovely day here today.
Yesterday was another 100% day - feeling so much more in to it now, and quite like how precise the new scales are (even if 6lbs less would be good ;) ).

:) Friday - green

Brunch - baked beans, wholemeal pitta (HexB) and philidelphia cheese (HexA)

Snack - banana

Dinner - Ainley Harriot lentil dhal, rice, mini naan (7 syns I think) and onion bhajee (5 syns?)
fromage frais, sweetener and frozen blackberries blitzed to make SW sorbet - YUM.

Total syns: 12

Played 1 hour of squash AND 1 hour of badminton too. Pretty knackered by the end of it, hence we popped into the supermarket and got pre-prepared curry - well, I got AH dhal, but still dead easy. Have now joined the local squash club + gym (eek) so there's an incentive to get myself onto the cardio equipment at least once a week!

Well done on the gym , sounds like you're right back into it. Will have to get me some ah Dahl

DO get some - it's much nicer than the dhal-in-a-tin. I added prawns too and it was sooo good :)

:) Saturday - green

Brunch - scrambled eggs on toast (HexB x 2) with onion relish (1.5 syns)

Snack - apple, velvet crunch crisps (4 syns)

Dinner - mixed bean chilli with grated cheese (HexA)
fromage frais with sweetener and honey (4 syns)

Total syns: 9.5

Played squash again for an hour but am feeling it today so think I'll have a day of rest today :)
